Chapter: 22
Well hello everyone it has been a very long time since I have come up and I know that you all are very mad at me for making you all wait. And if I continue with my apology note it will be very long. So, I have stored it in the last part of the chapter so let us move forward with the ff. so, this is priya signing in and enjoy with the chapter.
After few days anika got discharged and was taken back home. Shivay was also accompanying her, after making her comfortable in room he was about to leave to get water for her when she holding his hand said calmly.
A: shivay it has been many days you have been taking care of me without taking any rest. So, now get back to home and take some rest.
S: (letting out a sigh of relief) amm I will take rest after sometime. Well are you comfortable or having some pain.
A: (giving an irritated look and said in an annoyed tone) eh bagad bille I am telling that you must take rest and you are saying that you will take the rest afterwards.
S: anika look to be frank I am not planning to go to OM anytime soon so, it would be better that you drop the plan to ask me go there.
M: (entering the room and sitting near sitting near anika) haan so who is asking you to go to OM my house can also be called as yours shivay since your real family is staying here. So, just stay in this room (pointing the bed) and the bed is too big that it can afford to carry your weight.
S: haan right so I will get fresh and come.
He left and malika and anika looked at each other and smiled. Malika said rubbing her hand.
M: hmm so anika how are you feeling now.
A: much better. Well can I do some work.
M: (smiling) I am sorry to say anika but you are strictly prohibited from doing any kind of work as your husband will kill all of us for making you do work.
A: (making a pouty face) plz malika I am getting bored.
M: (acting as if she had hearing problem) amm sorry I am having trouble in hearing anika (checking her ears) did you tell something anika.
A: (slapping malika’s hand) dramebaz… anyways did your fight with dev end.
M: hmm not yet… well anika I am planning to leave in few days. So better get ready to bear your husband all alone.
A: (surprised) but why are you leaving this early malika I mean…
M: amm I am having a very important meeting to attend so I have to leave and if I say in your husband’s language work is more important.
A: and dev is he also leaving.
M: yes, he said he is also having some work with the resort. So, he is going to accompany when I am leaving.
A: well malika I need to ask you something important.
In the mean-time shivay came there and laid down on the bed. Since malika and anika were busy talking they had not noticed shivay coming in and laying down. Since he was very tired he just dozed off. Anika continued holding malika’s hand.
A: so, if I ask you something will you frankly answer my question.
M: (getting irritated) oh, fo anika you are asking the same question. Will you now proceed with your real question which you wanna ask. Just don’t stick on the same thing.
A: haan well I know you will thrash me up after I ask you this still I will ask… (malika was about to answer back in an irritated manner but anika cut her mid-way) do you like dev.
Hearing this malika started coughing and got the biggest shock of her life. Anika started laughing on seeing malika getting shocked and her condition. Malika drinking some water said in disbelief.
M: what? Are you out of your nuts anika and why the hell will I like that chimpanzee? He is like a wild boar who is always after his prey. He always loves to make fun of me, and he can easily get on my nerves.
A: haan seriously malika I just asked you a very simple question that do you like him or not but you gave me his complete autobiography in detail. So, I can conclude that you like dev.
M: (getting irritated) anika will you just shut up else I will seriously kill you.
A: acha so, you will also kill me. common do it, you know what shivay also tell the same thing repeatedly but he couldn’t do anything.
In between this talk kavya came there crawling and started playing with the loose side if the sheet which was hanging down from the bed. She just looked at malika and anika talking and silently managed to catch some attention of malika and she put her up on bed. Kavya just clapped on being picked up and she just started crawling around the bed. At that time, she had noticed shivay sleeping so peacefully and she just sat there with a thud and looked at him thinking something and then smiled and came close to him. Anika and malika were busy in their talks so they didn’t notice what kavya was doing. Kavya without thinking anything started patting shivay’s face and shivay understood who it was and just playfully pushed her hands away. Kavya got irritated with this that she was being ignored and started pulling his hair.
Shivay first ignored her and then on understanding that she will not stop finally looked at her, kavya instantly stopped and sat looking at him and giggled. Shivay nodded in negative and looking at her said.
S: (almost in a sleepy tone) what’s it baby… why did you wake me up?
Kavya just clapped her hand and started giggling. Shivay picking her up made her sit atop of him and continued.
S: so, why did kavya baby wake up papa haan… (kavya just shrugged and giggled) do you want to play haan… then come we will play…
Shivay started to rise but stopped on feeling kavya laying atop him. Shivay ruffling her hair said while kavya looked at him irritated and then beating his chest laid back on him.
S: acha toh when you wanted to sleep then you could have just slept like that. What was the need to wake up papa? So, I must say that my princess is tired right and so tired that she woke up her papa haan. now common since you have come to sleep with me let us sleep together.
Saying so he held kavya comfortably but protectively that she doesn’t fall and kavya too cuddled on to him comfortably and they both slept peacefully. This was the time anika realized that apart from them both kavya was too there and said looking at malika.
A: malika I think kavya was there with us Haina.
M: haan I myself had placed her on bed right, but why is this place so silent.
A: haan yaar… (but she stopped mid-way and all she could say was) aww malika what a cute moment is this yaar…
Malika got first got confused and she just looked at anika and then at the direction where she was looking to find both father and daughter sleeping peacefully. Kavya had a smile crept on her face while shivay was seeming to be a protective father. Malika silently took a photo of them and said.
M: (letting out some air) it feels good to see him sleeping peacefully like this.
A: (getting confused) haan… (malika looked at her and anika continued) what do you mean?
M: (smiling) since last two years I have seen him dying in your memories and hurting himself, and you know what anika it was really tough for me to handle him as he would make himself indulge in some or other accident. Finally, sahil understood the situation and helped me by diverting shivay’s mind. (anika was almost in tears and was just looking at malika while she continued) though in our college days we used to be couple we never felt complete and used to fight for one or the other reason. But from the time I have seen you both together I somewhere felt that you will be a perfect match for him. And now see my guess was correct.
A: but malika till when yaar pinky aunty is still adamant that she won’t accept me and shivay is adamant that he will leave his family if pinky is not ready to accept me. I swear malika I want everyone to be happy and never want the happy family to be destroyed.
De: (dev who had come there looking for kavya heard what they both were talking and said) well anika you don’t need worry about that as your mad husband will do something and will take care of everything. (sitting down on the sofa and looking at malika he said) and coming to the point that you family will break don’t worry about that as I am sure that shivay’s mom will accept you very soon.
A: well why are you here?
De: nothing I was looking for kavya but landed up here on hearing your talks. that’s it.
A: (sternly) well why did you plan to leave so early dev?
De: (in mind) now how should I tell you anika that I came here with malika because I wanted to know her more and now when she is not here what is my need here? Shivay is there for you but I am alone.
A: (she said bring dev back to normal world) hello mr dev Mehta where are you lost. (he looked at her and she continued) dev what happened are you okay?
De: haan I am fine it’s just some urgent work and don’t worry I will do ups and downs. After all I have to keep a regular check my sister and my niece is doing well or not.
M: (mocking him) well mister chimpanzee you don’t need to worry about it as shivay will take very good care of them. You better do one thing just take care of yourself.
De: you are telling as if you took very good care of me when I was here.
M: (getting irritated) really dev well just pardon to tell when I didn’t take care of you haan, and for your kind information the place in which you are staying is my house.
De: acha you want the number of incidents right you forgot so easily the way you brought me here and the way you treated with me all those pushing and pulling and throwing things at me and all…
Anika understood that the situation will get out of control so she said cutting their fight off. And malika and dev pocked each other.
A: acha baba stop it both of you arre you are fighting like kids.
M: arre why are you scolding me he started first.
S: (getting disturbed due to sound he said in an angry tone) will you guys just shut up. First you all force me to sleep and when I am sleeping you are not letting me to sleep. What’s your problem yaar?
De: nothing shivay you rest we will fight after sometime.
Saying this malika and dev left the room with their fight continuing while anika looked back at her mad daughter and husband sleeping. In the evening shivay returned back to OM where pinky was ready to seek answers for all the question she wanted to ask.
P: so finally, you got the time to come to home my sons…
S: (straightly looking at her with tiredness) mom other than the talks that are going to irritate me if you have something else to say then you can continue else leave my path I am tired and I literally need rest.
P: (caring him) arre did anika make you do her work that she took your rest away.
S: (sternly) mom plz… are you not done of hearing rude talks from me, you always create a situation where I always end up insulting you but the next moment again you will repeat the same situation.
P: (calmly) arre I am talking to you nicely and you are pouncing on me as I am going to eat you up alive.
S: mom you know what I am not interested in a fight right now so I am leaving. (he started to leave)
P: (tuning to him and continued making shivay stop in his place) well I wanted to tell you that you should bring anika back here but you seem to be less interested in it so I suggest that you leave and take all the rest which you need.
S: (looking back at her and in disbelief) mom you are in your senses right. (pinky looked at him with a smile on her face) what’s so funny mom? I mean you really want me to bring anika.
P: no I want jethji to bring anika back. I will ask him to go and bring her.
S: okay fine and you don’t need to tell bade papa about that I will bring her here by myself. But mom what happened to you all of a sudden that you asked me to bring anika here.
P: well I just want my kanji ankho wali poti in front of my eyes and playing here and grow up very nicely. So, if I want her to be here your mad wife also needs to be here to manage her.
S: okay… okay… fine enough I will get them but first I need anika to get better and in a few days malika and dev will be leaving so after they leave I will bring them here.
P: as you wish… but make it soon okay…
Saying so pinky left from there and all shivay could do was call anika who was initially sleeping and she answered a bit angrily.
A: what’s it shivay… if you are forgetting mr. bagad billa your wife is on medication and needs rest. And look at you, you are disturbing me…
S: (back in an irritated tone) oh, shut up panika and listen to me carefully…
A: (in a sleepy tone) not in a right mood shivay… I am really felling sleepy.
S: (in a straight forward tone) mom needs you here with kavya that too soon…
A: (almost in a surprise she excitedly replied and sitting up with a jerk and making shivay jerk off the phone due to loud tone of anika) really shivay oh, my god I can’t believe this. Well shivay… (in a very painful tone) ouch…
S: (in a calm yet angry tone) your hand is hurting right, now just relieve the plastered hand and put pressure on the hand which is free and sit supporting it.
A: (in a baby tone) okay fine I just got so happy that I forgot that I had a plastered hand.
S: well all I can tell you is don’t get too excited I will bring you here once you get completely fine. And mostly after dev and malika leave.
A: but shivay….
S: (in an ignoring time) now sleep and better keep your phone on silent mode if you don’t want anyone to disturb you by calling you. bye…
Saying so shivay cut the phone while anika just sat there numb.
Well done with this part and I know that this part was total stupidity. But I am sorry to make you all wait this long. I know you all are really mad at me for making you all wait this long but what to do my fate was also not wanting me to fulfil my promise and it led me into accident and I had fractured my hand and still I am in recovering mode. But I had to pen down something since I got lots of messages from you all… so I am writing this even if my hand is paining but still I think you all will like it. Again, sorry guys for making you all wait and thank you for bearing this chapter though I know it is useless.
