This society will never change- RiAnsh OS on Vitiligo

Hii everyone!! Double update day! I am very glad that you all liked my previous OS so here I am with a new one…

Vansh and Riddhima are a happy couple, married together leading a happy life. That one day became a storm in their life….

Riddhima was roaming in the park, a beautiful casual sharara set matched with red bangles and her nupital chain and vermilion. A ball came to her which she picked up and gave to the kid. But her mother came between and didn’t let her take the ball. The girl kept weeping but her mother didn’t listen and pulled her out of the park.

Riddhima became sad and was standing at the exit if the park.

“Don’t ever go to her. You will become like her. Do you want to?” The same mother was asking her child on whixh she nodded in no and they both left.

Riddhima’s eyes filled up with tears and she left to her home. Locking it from inside, she washed her face properly and dried from the towel. She kept looking at her face. She had vitiligo.

Vitiligo is a disease in which white patches come up on all the skin and body. Riddhima was suffering from it since birth. Maybe the reason why her parents left her in the orphanage.

“Riddhima? Open the door” Riddhima heard and rushed to open the door. It was her husband. Vansh. Her childhood love. Living in the orphan together, when everyone used to stay away from her Vansh always stayed with her. Their promise of being always is still kept.

“You didn’t go to work today?” Vansh said taking out his tie.

“No I was not in mood.” Riddhima said handling him a glass of water.

“Hmmm not in mood? Let me make it then…” Vansh said keeping the glass of water her aside tucking her hairs behind her ears.

Riddhima was blushing hard and she pushed him slightly which didn’t work.

“Why do you pressure yourself to become a good wife? You don’t need to be an ideal wife. Just be the way you are. Bubbly and happy. We have a party to go to. Get ready.” Vansh said remembering.

“Vansh I don’t want to. Please. You know that I don’t like it.” Riddhima said resting her chin on her hand.

“Yes I know you don’t like it but love it.” Vansh said taking some stuff out of his bag pack.

“I am sure someone said something to you. Right?” Vansh said looking at her.

“Hmm” Riddhima said sipping water. “A mother was teaching her kid to stay away from me otherwise she will become like me.” Riddhima chuckled on his own words.

Vansh stopped doing her work and was looking her. Just some spots can’t make an person ugly.

“Here, get ready.” Vansh said giving a blue dress to her.

“Vansh please…” Riddhima said in irritated way and was leaving but Vansh caught her wrist and pulled her close to him tucking her hair behind her ear.

“If you want the society to change…you need lots of courage. If you will loose the confidence of going out then how will the change come that you want?” Vansh whispered in her ear.

“It’s common sense Vansh. Vitiligo is not a thing that spreads with touches. Doctors have even said it’s not a disease but a medical condition!” Riddhima exclaimed pushing him.

“So you need to tell the world na? We are going.” Vansh said in a stern voice.

“Ohk fine..” Riddhima said walking lazily looking at the ceiling and went to get ready.

When she returned to the hall after changing, there was a small box wrapped up beautifully with a red ribbon and Vansh standing with the support of the door. Riddhima smiled at Vansh and sat on the bed pulling him along.

Riddhima opened the box, it was a pen like structure. Actually looked like a marker. She saw a paper and read it.

Vitiligo concealer pen

Riddhima looked at Vansh who was smiling. Riddhima became hesitant and kept it back in the box.

“Don’t you want it?” Vansh asked Riddhima.

“I don’t want to change. I am not wrong. The one who is wrong should change.” Riddhima said keeping the concealer aside looking at Vansh who was smiling.

“I know you did this to make me understand. I love you Vansh.” Riddhima said hugging him.

“I love you too. Ready to go?” Vansh asked.

Riddhima nodded in yes and they both left…..
