According to the past few episodes of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein it was shown that Ishitha (Divyanka Thripathi) died by a heart failure. When Pihu got kidnapped , Ishitha went in search of her and she too was attacked by the kidnapper. Later Pihu was saved but, Ishitha was announced as dead on the spot by the police.
But after few episodes fans got to know that she is really not dead but is paralyzed by a snake venom which was injected to her by the kidnapper of Pihu who is later revealed as Nikhil. Even the doctors could not discover that Ishitha was alive. Every time when others mourned over Ishitha’s dead, she listened to all of their sorrowful words. Specially to Raman’s. Though she tried to make them aware that she’s alive, she was not at success.
Ultimately, her family took her body to perform the final rites while Raman was still searching the actual reason behind her death. At last Raman got to know that Ishitha is actually not dead but paralyzed by a snake venom from the lab reports. Thus, Raman came and rescued Ishitha from the burning pyre, making everyone shocked. Raman got her treated again and finally, Ishitha was back to life again.
