THE STORY OF US – Chapter 28 by Sana II ALWAYS II

ANIKA’S POV

We were driving back after dropping Sahil at his new school. I was kind of tensed but I know that he is a smart and knows to handle everything. He was excited and thrilled when Shivaye said and he was a merry boy this morning while getting ready. After taking everyone’s blessings and kissing them on the cheek we were on the road to his school.

It was a well-known famous school in the city. The teachers and staff were very friendly and within a couple of minutes Sahil and them hit it off. After all the formalities were done we were on our way back to the Mansion and after than Shivaye will leave for his office.

It’s been a week since after the project of Soumya. The project will be issued in a magazine and also the three brothers reported this and I heard that someone lost their tooth too. It feels like it was my own home and that family was mine.

The car suddenly came to a halt and I came forward with a jerk. I looked at Shivaye who hit the steering wheel with his hand and said “Shit.”

“What was that?” I asked rubbing my forhead and glared at him because he was the reason for my pain. “Ever heard of driving carefully?” I asked.

“Ever heard of a thing called seatbelt?” He asked and I lowered my head. Score one for Shivaye Singh Oberoi.

“Sit here.” He said and after removing his coat he got out. He opened the bonnet and started checking it. He opened the truck and took a tool box and kept it there before going to find the problem. He was grumpy now.

Suddenly little droplets of water started pouring from the sky. I stretched my hand out and felt cold. Rain brought the memories of my dad back
He always loved Rain and whenever he see it he opened his arms like a kid. He had a heart of little child inside. I used to tease him that he loved it because no will see the tears. I quote ‘I read it somewhere on a social sites.’ and he would agree. Just like how I remembered my dad he would think of my mom.

“Anika, hand me the umbrella.” Shivaye ordered and he was completely soaked in the water. I hit my head for spacing out and took the umbrella and got out. I covered for him and his eyes met mine. The one that I can always stare longer and never get bored.

“What are you doing, Anika? You will get sick.” He said and took the spanner out.

“Don’t think you are a superhero and can hold an umbrella in one hand while repairing the car on the other.” I said and rolled my eyes.

“Don’t act like you are Kajol and I’m Sharukh in the rain. I know your fantasy about me.” He winked and my cheeks flushed.

“I swear it didn’t even cross my mind but someone is caught.” I smirked and he shrugged his shoulders.

“Damn, this thing got serious issues.” He said referring to the car and I nodded my head.

“Seriously, do you really want to dance with me in rain?” I teased.

“I love you but no thanks.” He said and I laughed. All the couple gets lovey-dovey through kisses and all but for us it is a arguing.

“C’mon, I know you wish to.” I said.

“See, someone is desperate.” He said and opened the door to enter but I held his arm and with a lot of strength made him twirl.

“What the wuck, Anika?” He managed to say in between and I laughed. I’m the lead here. I put my hand on his chest and wrapped his around my waist. I started swaying like there was really a music playing in the background.

Shivaye took my hand and twirled mearound this time while laughing and I stared at him for sometime. He was enjoying and I was so happy.
We played in the rain and just like the cliche romantic movie I let go of the umbrella and instead of flying it fell on the floor and Shivaye started laughing again. I pinched his cheeks and he flinched in pain and loosened the hold on my arm. I lost my balance and fell on the mud.

Oh my poor favourite black long sleeved top!

I glared at Shivaye who has a ‘Oops​’ look on his face. He looked so cute with his hands cupping his mouth. I grinned before pulling him and boy he fell right on top of me. I pushed him aside with all my strength and I was finally when I saw his white coat having mud. It was his chance to shoot death glares and with a smirk he took a handful of mud and threw towards me. It hit on my pants and so the game was on. For the next half an hour or so we were bathing each other with mud and finally we stopped when we looked like we came out of the soil.

He got up and wiped his hands on his pants and pulled me and I crashed into his chest. What I missed was that his hand filled with mud. He traced that on my face and my heart fluttered. When he was finished I took a deep breath and I saw him smiling.

“Thank you, I never had this much fun in my life.” He said and entwined our fingers together.

“If you ask my dad about me then he will say I spend more time here but forget that he was partner in it.” I laughed but the smile fell knowing that I will never have a moment like that again in my life.

“I’m there for you, Anika.” He said and I smiled. He added “Always.”

“Always.”

Trust me when I say that I myself don’t know what I wrote above. Sorry for the short update and also I will edit once when I have time. I’m sick and tired now a days that I seriously don’t know what’s happening. But I’m so happy finally this book is going to be completed soon. 28 Chapters down and only two more left. Do you think they will have their happily ever after?
