Guys,
you would remember a prologue I gave under the name “Love is above everything”. Anyhow I didn’t like that tittle much and hence I am changing it into “The magic of love”. Here is the first part.
It was a fine Saturday evening.
Yuvraj and Sharad reached home, Sharad was about ring the bell, when something grabbed Yuvraj’s attention.
Yuv: (irritated) Oh no!
He grabbed Sharad’s hand before he rang the bell, led him to the car and drive off.
Yuvraj looked irritated, Sharad started to laugh.
Yuv: What? Why are you laughing?
Sh: (laughing) Look at you, you are scared!
Yuv: (angrily) I am not! Why should I be?
Sh: Then what was all these?
Yuvraj looked at him angrily.
Sh: What?
Yuv: nothing.
Yuvraj stopped the car randomly at a restaurant.
They got in.
Sh: Now what?
Yuv: (looking around) we are at a restaurant; I presume that we can have something.
Sharad sighs.
Yuvraj’s phone rang; he looked at it, got irritated and put it in the silent mode.
Sharad suppressed a laugh, and ordered something.
Sharad’s phone started to ring.
Sh: Now she is calling me.
Yuv: She knows that I am with you, Damn!
Sh: Well, then probably she knows that we are not at office. What to do now?
Yuv: Pick the call, make some excuse.
Sh: What?
Yuv: Anything!
Sharad sighs and attended the call.
Sh: Hi Soumya.
Sou: Hi, is Yuvraj with you?
Sh: Well yes, and,
Sou: Can you give him the phone? He is not picking the call.
Sh: (to Yuvraj in undertone) she wants to talk to you.
Yuvraj signed no.
Sh: Well, he…..he is in a meeting…. with a new client, we are at a restaurant, and he is inside.
Yuv: (undertone) Tell her that we would be late, and not to wait.
Sh: Well Soumya, we might be late,
Sou: Oh, it is not a problem; I am staying at Birla house today.
Sh: Oh, hm, that is nice. Ok then bye.
Sou: Bye.
He cuts the call, and smirks.
Yuv: What?
Sh: Happy news, she is staying overnight.
Yuv: No!!
Sh: I don’t understand, why are you so irritated?
Yuv: I don’t understand, why does everyone wants me to marry her? She and Dadi are after me.
Sh: She is a nice girl.
Yuv: Who said she isn’t? But she isn’t the one.
Sh: Then, who is?
Yuv: (looking down) I don’t know, but not her, she is…….she is very much like me. I want someone who is different from me, someone who compliments me. Then we both would be able to support each other in every situation.
Yuvraj looked up and saw that Sharad wasn’t listening to him but was looking somewhere else.
Yuv: (shaking him) Sharad, where are you?
Sh: I, I will just come.
He went to a waiter, talked for some time and came back.
Yuv: what were you talking to that waiter?
Sh: I was asking about a girl, the one who left now. I saw her having a friendly chat with waiter; I went collect info about her.
Yuv: And he told everything about a girl to an unknown person?
Sh: Oh not directly, I asked if she is my friend, by providing some of her details, he told me her actual details.
Yuv: What?
Sh: Yes, her name is Bhavna, she is regular customer here, and she always comes with her sister, and is a doctor.
Yuvraj sighed.
They spent some more time outside and then went to home.
Dadi, Pratima and Soumya were waiting for them.
Dadi: Why are you both late?
Yuv: That Dadi, we,
Dadi: Ok forget it, Soumya wants to go for shopping tomorrow, you take her,
Yuv: But Dadi,
Dadi: Tomorrow is Sunday and you have no appointments, so no excuse.
Yuvi: Dadi, I……. Dadi I am not making any excuse, but I….. I have a date tomorrow.
Everyone was shocked to hear him.
Dadi: Date? With whom? You don’t have a girl friend.
Yuv: Well, Dadi I met her today evening, at the restaurant, she came with her sister, I and Sharad talked to them, and we fixed a double date, well to see if things will work out or not, I mean nothing whatsoever didn’t happen between me and Soumya, so…..
Sh: Double date?
Yuvraj kicked him hard at foot.
Sh: Yes Dadi we got a double date tomorrow. Our first date in fact.
Dadi: (not completely satisfied) Ok. You can go.
Soumya was sad, Yuvraj and Sharad felt relieved and Pratima looked at them both and leaves to her room.
Yuvraj signs Sharad.
