The Last Spirit – Chapter 4 ‘The Meet’

Riddhima opened her eyes, standing up with a jerk. Rubbing her eyes she looked at her surroundings. This place had some magic. She looked at her whole body, tapping it at different places. She was alive. This means…maybe she is allowed to enter Akashgarh or she isn’t in Akashgarh.

“Where is the voice now?” Riddhima mumbled to herself.

She herself, sang it. (Don’t get confused, she sang the one she always heard. The siren of fire optimistic)

All of a sudden, there was fire erupting all over, on the trees, on the bushes, on the grass. Riddhima started jumping a little to save herself from the fire.

“Aah Stop it!!”

Riddhima’s shout resulted in the fire to increase more heat and faint voices. She lifted her leg to keep it the other way on the pale ground, but as soon as she did the place caught fire. Wherever she tried to move, caught more fire.

Riddhima was sweating, in between of a forest, where no one is, she could call for help.

Vansh is seen to be standing with the support of a tree, sweating profusely. He wiped his sweat from two of his fingers, he was not hearing the voice now.

“Is somebody there!! Please help me!!”

A sweet, crying voice reached his ears. Vansh was confused. Firstly, how did he enter inside being alive and secondly, who can be here asking for help?

“Is someone there!!”

The sweet lady’s voice ringed his ears again, and he rushed towards the voice. Black sparkles again surrounded him all over.

“Aah!!”

Vansh walked more fast, and the sparkles followed him. Some black little crystals started floating in air, hurting him more and more.

He kept walking, until one of the crystals attacked his forehead, just above his eyes. It was a deep cut, and blood trickled through his eyebrows falling into his lashes.

Vansh wiped it with a nearby leaf, it was not the first time the crown prince was hurt. But now, this crown prince had no worth here. Oh wait..there is his worth. That’s why he is alive.

White crystals where continuously attacking Riddhima, she winced as she has never experienced such piercing pain. She was always kept in such safety that even a needle was not seen in the castle.
And here she was, trying to save herself from the crystals and fire together.

“Oh god please stop this!!”

As soon as she shouted, it was all gone. The fire, the crystals attacking her. The only thing left was her white sparkles, which never left her, as usual.

Riddhima looked at the ground, which was totally burnt, but her eyes widened and she gasped seeing a sudden growth of soft green grass.

Riddhima sighed taking a rest beneath a shady tree. She plucked a pink leaf and to her surprise, the same pink leaf was grown again. But this time, Riddhima smiled at this change.

“Why did this never happen in castle plants? At least my blossom tree would have been saved” Riddhima said and chuckled.

“Where was that voice coming from?” Vansh asked himself, still looking for the person.

A new voice rang on both of them’s ears. Riddhima stood up, roaming around looking for the voice. She heard some hustle around, and was ready to face whatever is going to happen. She took a round looking all over.

The voice came again, and Riddhima closed her eyes, listening and moving close it, backwards. She felt herself colliding with something hard. Taking the knife she directly out it on his neck, she estimated everything at once.

Their eyes met, shining bright. Her dark brown eyes…were lost in his black orbs.

She felt the time stopped while he felt everything running fast.

She felt sensations all over while he was blank.

She felt herself lost while he felt himself found.

She felt to remain the same while he felt to take her away with him.

His sudden hiss made Riddhima realise she hurted him. She backed off looking at her knife, which had a little blood. Riddhima looked at him surprisingly while he silently stood, as the black sparkles erupted healing his little neck scratch.

“Who are you?”

Both of them asked together in a stern tone. Riddhima turned her back to him. Squeezing her eyes being not able to say anything.

He, was the first stranger of her life. Someone whom she didn’t know.

Princess, you need to stay alert.

Her heart mocked her.

You hurted him, apologize

Her sub conscious mind was saying something else.

Vansh was still admiring the fierce beauty he just met. The senses of her made her realise so fast. Thank God that he didn’t directly stab her, he would have regretted too much for later. He noticed Riddhima’s exposed waist and lower neck glowing white, little sparkles coming out like fire flames.

You should stay aware. She can be dangerous

His heart said

She looks innocent and sweet. Shy too

His sub conscious mind complimented her.

Riddhima was still standing, fidgeting her fingers. The only thing heard was, the slow rustling of trees and water flowing somewhere near.

The new voice, came again.

And to a surprise, both ran towards it. But stopped when they saw each other heading at the same place.

“You can hear it?” Vansh asked in amusement. She was the first whom he has seen who can hear that voice excluding him!

Riddhima silently nodded in yes, moving ahead.

Stay away. Don’t fear. Stay away. Don’t fear. Riddhima muttered herself in mind, trying not to well up being alone for the first time.

“Hey, you can talk to me. I can also hear that voice. I think from..maybe since I was born” Vansh said trying to talk to her.

Riddhima craned her neck back, giving him a look from the corner of her eyes, she blinked slowly, and Vansh had forgotten to blink seeing her face from side only.

Riddhima turned back, his advert gaze for making her feel weird. Maybe uncomfortable? She didn’t know.

“Don’t stare”

Riddhima said erupting all the courage in her. She wanted to run away from this man because she wanted to do everything by herself.

“I think we both are looking for the same thing. What about a team up?” Vansh asked again, hoping she would answer this time.

Riddhima nodded in no, moving faster than before to go away from him. His hand stopped her way, and she looked at him. His eyes were just busy admiring her, she could properly see that. All of a while, Riddhima moved back from him, and Vansh did the same. She looked at him being horrified while he stared at her confusingly.

They both, moved to opposite side, moving fast as they could.
