THE LAST SPIRIT- Chapter 3 ‘Off to Akashgarh’

Hi everyone! Thanks for your lovely response! I am very glad you are liking it..

Riddhima was practicing her sword skills in a room with armouries. As she moved her sword with elegance, white sparkles made their way between. She sighed and kept the sword back at its place.

Here, Vansh was standing in the balcony of his room, looking at the citizens who were crowded to see the king, take blessings from him and tell them their problems.

Riddhima is seen to be standing at the closed door of the castle, she had tried many times to see outside but either she failed or backed off due to her unusual sparkling. She closed her eyes, and sparkles made henna patterns on her neck, and a sparkling tear escaped her eyes.

The voice, it came again..

“Why are you calling me?”

Vansh and Riddhima said together, and went inside.

“Who will give my answers… Rajat ji?” Riddhima asked the minister, who had always been there with Riddhima.

“Princess, your answers are still in Akashgarh. And we are strictly prohibited by your father to let you go there.” Rajat replied trying to make her understand.

“It’s fine. I will surely run away then” Riddhima said and left from there.

“I need my answers ma. I can’t live like this” Vansh said to Uma who was sitting on the bed silently.

“Akashgarh” Uma said

“Han?” Vansh asked in disbelief.

“I didn’t tell you, I never wanted to. But if you are saying your unusual powers are hurting you, then it must be serious. You need to go there son.” Uma said with a worried face.

Vansh sighed and sat on his knees infront of Uma.

“It’s fine. I will go then.” Vansh said calmly.

“Tell your father. Eat properly and take some soldiers with you.” Uma said and Vansh chuckled.

“Ohk I will tell” Vansh said taking her blessings and left the room.

It was midnight, the boundary of the Vimoksha Empire’s castle is shown to be week, but are heavily strong and gaurded by hundreds of knights.

2 shoes are thrown out of it, and here comes our princess, in a white-anarkali suit and her dupatta covering her face. She sat on the boundary and looked back towards the castle.

“Princess is missing! Find her!” Jaidev came up shouting on the knights.

“If anything happens to her there will no one to rule of the Kingdom of Vimoksha! The Optimistics will take us! Find her!” Jaidev was himself busy searching for her while shouting.

Riddhima turned back and chuckled, she was properly glowing white. Not-so carefully, she jumped down and hugged the floor with a loud thud.

She found herself fallen in a big pit. She slapped her forehead and stood up brushing dust off her clothes, looking up to see how she will go out.

“Take care of yourself”  Uma said as her eyes filled with tears.

“Don’t worry Ma. I will be fine, just be in touch with Shanvi.” Vansh said and left on his horse.

Reaching towards the mist, the knights stopped.

“Sorry prince, but we can’t loose our life.” One of them making Vansh chuckle.

“Well (sighs) that’s how you will be for our kingdom. Leave” Vansh said.

“It will cost your life too prince.” The knight said.

“I can give my life easily” Vansh said leaving and he was out of the sights of knights.

Two soft shining hands were on the edge of the pit trying to come out, and after a lot of tries, Riddhima finally succeeded.

“Princess Riddhima is not so easy to catch. I will not return till I get my answers” Riddhima said and moved as fast as she could towards Akashgarh.

Vansh heavily breathing god down from the horse, taking a little leather bag in his hand, he tied the horse to a nearby tree carresing it.

The mist

It was a wall between life and death. The one who went never returned, or their dead bodies would be found near it as the Spirits throw out the ugly or bad souls out of Akashgarh. These sould were called Anaitik which means ‘horibbly wrong ‘

Was he an ugly soul?

Vansh tried to shrug off his thoughts, but more were on the way. His mind had thousands of things, to know about himself, and the answers were with the Optimistics, the spirit handlers of Akashgarh.

Black is not the color of any beautiful magic, is he Anaitik?

Or he is something the whole world doesn’t know?

Is he not born for serving Raiyajya?

Or he is born for a different aim he doesn’t know?

He took slow and big steps towards the mist, he slowly touched the mist with his fingers, felt like water as hot as fire.

“Ohk Vansh. Let’s forget you are a prince and do this..” He mentally motivated himself and closed his eyes taking his steps back.

Sparkles formed again, creating a tornado around Vansh. He felt it, but didn’t opened his eyes and took a long run inside the mist, Vanishing from his kingdom…

“For the first time…I am out of a golden cage..” Riddhima sobbed tears of joy as she touched the little white lilies slowly. Plucking one of it, she inserted it in her braided hairs which were reaching her waist. She moved ahead, she didn’t even knew where she had to go..

After slowly entering the forest, she could see little animals jumping and moving here and there.

“Why was I caged for so long? This is so beautiful. I can’t see any harm in this” Riddhima said to herself. Smiling and humming, she went ahead when she heard a different voice, which she never heard. (At the top it is!)

“Something new… Now calling me by a new voice? But thankyou. For guiding me.” Riddhima muttered sprinting towards the dense jungle following the voice.

Her hands holding her dress, clutched to a small leather bag, she ran looking at the floor being careful not to hurt herself, but trying to reach before the voice stops.

She ran looking down but stopped all of a sudden when she saw a mist near her foot. She stepped back and saw, what she was looking for. The wall of mist.

“So this is the wall of mist, so I have to go inside. What if my parents are still there!? What if I get free from these sparkles! I will have a life, out of the cages. Being a nice queen, having a loving king. No ..no.” Riddhima was behaving weird.

“Ohk. Huuh… let’s go for this” Riddhima said taking bigger steps backwards.

Exhaling a deep breath, she clutched her bag tightly. The white sparkles surrounded her, she closed her eyes tightly, taking a big run towards the mist, and went inside it. Out of the eyes of the world.

Both were, OFF TO AKASHGARH.
