The Inspirational Story: Riansh (part one) by Sweety

Hi sweethearts! Thank you so much for your lovely responses due to which I am writing this OS. This one is really close to my heart and I hope you all will like it. If you have suggestions do tell me but if don’t then expect something from me. The way I am writing this; putting my heart and soul into this, I think I am living the story.

A girl in her teens and a boy in his mid-twenties, were hugging each other and crying: looking at a picture with garlands.

Girl: mom why did you leave us? Bro was going to come Na?

Boy: dad see I am here but you both aren’t? I promised you to never let Vanya cry but I can’t do that

[The boy was Ridhwik and the girl was Vanya.]

[The picture with the garlands was of Vansh and Riddhima]

Ridhwik: can you remember what did mom say on Shaggy’s death, vanu?

Vanya: yes

~flashback starts~

Vanya: mom will you and dad leave us like Shaggy?

Ridhwik: that will be but no soon vanu.

Riddhima: maybe vanu… actually we don’t decide it but god does it and if he calls us there, we have to go.

Vanya: no mumma I won’t let you go!

Riddhima: baby if we go there still our happiness will be with you and your brother. We will look at you from above.

Vanya: how?

Ridhwik: tell na?

Vansh: you can see these stars if you observe them carefully and call us, two stars will twinkle which means they are us

Ridhwik: wow

Vanya: show me shaggy

They found Shaggy and then went to sleep.

~Flashback ends~

Ridhwik: let’s go and find them.

Vanya: yes

They went and did what Vansh and Riddhima had taught them differently; suddenly 2 stars twinkled which meant they heard them.

Vanya and Ridhwik: mom and dad!

While behind them there were two people clad in white. It looked like a couple; the woman in a white frock and man in a white suit.

[They were the souls of Riddhima and Vansh]

Riddhima: see they found us.

Vansh: yes but they will never know we are behind them every day and observe them.

Riddhima: yes but I am happy our love won and look how much happy they are together.

They wiped their tears and blinked; which made their face into a smile.

They went near them;

Riansh: VANU and Ridhwi

Ridhwik & Vanya: mom and dad

Riddhima: yes children, we saw you are sad so we came. We are here baby in your heart but you can’t stay like this.

Vansh: come on wipe your tears and smile.

Vanya: can’t you both come back?

Riddhima: no vanu we can’t but we will be in the sky and you both have to make us proud of you both by taking care of both of you and achieving your goals.

Ridhwik and Vanya: yes mommy we will

Vansh: so from today you have to promise us you will not leave each other and support each other

Ridhwik and Vanya: promise!

Vanya went to bring her notebook.

Ridhwik: sorry mumma I couldn’t stop her from crying. I know it hurts all of us…

Vansh: it’s ok champ. Let her cry as it would help her get over her grief.

Riddhima: ridhwi you are the eldest so you have to take care of both of you and in the future we might not be here physically but you have to handle everything.

Ridhwik: interesting,very interesting! You both are trying to say you will be with us for today and then will return to the sky. From there you will be watching us and you want us to be happy.

Vansh: champ you have turned smart like your mom. Well yes but if one day you really need us,we will be here or else we will there above in the sky.

Ridhwik: ok dad I understood!

Vanya came with her book;

Riddhima: baby you will have to study well, so that you can write your mom’s and dad’s story one day.

Vanya: surely mom and then people will take inspiration from you both. Am I right or am I right bro?

Everyone laughed at her dialogue,

Ridhwik: of course, they will have to. Who can resist the story of Vansh and Riddhima?

Vansh: right

Riddhima: come on my three babies, let’s go sleep.

Vanya&Ridhwik &Vansh:coming

Ridhwik and Vanya layed down on riddhima’s lap and vansh put riddhima’s head on his shoulder with tears.

Riddhima started singing Dua (i am listening to it now ) [By Arijit Singh]and everyone fell asleep. Vansh had also slept hugging her and the children too. She was happy but she remembered something which made her teary-eyed and she cried.Vansh woke up and wiped her tears.

Vansh: don’t cry jaan. We did what we have to.

In the morning

Ridhwik and Vanya woke up but didn’t find their mom and dad with them. They were going to find them but saw Vanya’s notebook which had a letter;

Dear vanu and ridhwi,

This is mom and dad here, we know you must be searching for us but children don’t cause you won’t find us. We will be near you somewhere; in the night in the sky and in the day beside you. You both have to take care of each other. Mumma has kept everthing ready for you both to live without us. Remember you both have to make mumma and dada proud. We love you both a lot. BYE!

Your mom and dad.

Vanya: nooo

Ridhwik: they came to say us a goodbye vanu

Vanya: why

Ridhwik: cause we were crying and not letting them go. Now they can stay happily.

Vanya: yes bro

Ridhwik: no more tears let’s make them proud

Vanya: yes bro but if that accident didn’t happen, we would be happy na..

Ridhwik: yes Vanu

They were reminiscing the day they lost their parents.

~flashback starts~

Ridhwik’s POV

It was night;

Mom had made Vanya asleep and was walking on the road with dad with me on the video call.

Riddhima: when are you coming son?

wow now i have to say, sorry vanu

Ridhwik: mom i have booked a flight and am flying home on your birthday.

Riddhima (happily): let me tell Vanu!

Ridhwik: vanu knows mom. We wanted it to be a surprise but am fine as long as you are happy.

Vansh: madam has the habit of ruining surprises Ridhwi.

RIddhima smacked his arm: shut up vansh

Ridhwik: dad said the truth.

Riddhima: really? Come here, I will teach you. Anyway this will the best birthday as we all will be together.

Vansh hugged her and said : yes riddhu

Ridhwik: yeees mom

They were talking when suddenly a truck came and and hit the both of them. The phone was thrown from Riddhima’s hand due to the impact and it landed on a bush from which still Ridhwik could see his mom and dad on the ground.

Ridhwik shouted: mom! dad!

Riddhima was in her pool of blood while Vansh was also injured but less than her. Both were on the ground unconscious with blood flowing and Ridhwik was staring at them. He was crying at his helplessness and at his parents’ plight but then he saw…….
