Hi This is VHM back with a new FF on IB couple SHIVIKA….A slow yet Subtle love story……..
This is completely off track FF on Shivika and a college life and post college life of Shivika based FF…nothing to do with the track of IB….May be few of you can relate to this….you all know the characters and few characters will behave the same way as in real IB…few will be different……The Beginning would be slow and may bore you, but as i always say these beginning episodes will be crucial to form the further story……..
Please ignore the grammatical and spelling mistakes…….Hope the readers would support me the same way as they have supported me till date……based upon the response on this episode, i will be uploading the next episode……

Anika dialled Shivaay’s number and her hands were trembling….Shivaay received the call…
Shivaay ”Hello”
Anika disconnected the call
Shivaay ”Hello…Hello” he dropped the call
Anika again dialled…Shivaay picked up and Anika didn’t speak…this continued for many times…finally Shivaay sent a message which read as
”Ms.Surpanaka i know it’s you who have been calling me and not speaking….i never knew we have got separated to this extent that you have nothing to speak to me…whatever it is, i am so happy at this moment , that you remembered me at least now…i hope you and Sahil are fine..i mis….nothing…Yours’s Mr. Ritchie Rich”
Anika read the message again and again and her tears continued to explode….Shivaay was also emotional ….Anika replied to Shivaay…the message read as
”I am coming on the same day at same place…if you have not forgotten anything then this sentence is enough to understand everything…i really hope you would come there , then…i don’t know whether i must say ”yours Ms.Surpanaka ” or just ”Ms.Surpanaka”
Shivaay smiled and replied ”You will always be my Ms.Surpanaka…only if you believe me”
Anika replied ”if possible don’t let anyone know my arrival…i don’t want to raise any hopes or expectations in anyone….”
Shivaay ”As you wish”
Anika smiled amid tears and didn’t reply anything further……..
On the other hand Sahil explained OmRu what Anika did all these years and requested not to let anything to be known to Shivaay jiju…OmRu agreed to Sahil to keep this within they three….
Days passed by and after 15 days
Anika ”Sahil get up, we will get late”
Sahil ”didi let me sleep please”
Anika ”you know i can’t miss the flight”
Sahil ”someone is too eager to go to India”
Anika ”shut up…don’t tease me”
Sahil ”anyone who see our house will tease you…have you noticed …every room , corridor even washrooms have calendars attached and you have been crossing the dates from past 15 days..crazily in every calendar …Shivaay jiju is right…you are sach mein pagal”
Anika ”haaww …are you my brother or his katori”
Sahil ”katori…what’s that?”
Anika ”actually i named Sid and Daksh as Spoon and Karchi…so left over is katori, so i called you that”
Sahil ”nothing can happen of you didi”
Anika smiled and then put up a serious face and said ”now don’t waste time we have to leave..20 min you have and your time starts now”
Sahil obliged and went ahead to get ready…they both started to board the flight….the travel was seeming very long for Anika…..

Shivaay was equally excited and nervous somewhere to meet Anika…he waited eagerly for the day to arrive…OF noticed and asked him the reason for his happiness…he never said anything and used to skip the discussion…however somewhere everyone were happy that they were able to see the old shivaay slowly coming back……..
Finally the day arrived for both of them…Shivaay started to meet Anika…Anika sent Sahil to Old Delhi to Sundari Bua and she continued her journey to the decided place…..

Anika came and sat on the same seat where she sat and spoke to her bestie….she was looking once again at the clouds, and thinking about Shivaay
Anika TAM ”Bestie, it’s been very long time, i came here….but nothing changed in this place…tell me one thing, will he be the same as he used to be with me…no na…but why is my excitement same as it was years back….first you left me, then he left me…no i don’t want to be sad…i don’t want to cry..i came here and i wanted to listen to him…i will do that…see him , listen to him and then we will have our own paths once again…but i am scared bestie, how will i face him…with whatever happened , how can i be normal…the nervousness , the tension everything is eating up my brain and my stress levels are increasing”
Shivaay was nowhere to be seen…Anika looked around and looked at watch….she roamed here and there…took few steps and came back and sat on bench….time was passing by…Shivaay didn’t turn up….Anika took a stone and wrote SRO on the bench….it was getting midday…she was feeling hungry….
Anika TAM ”i think he doesn’t remember the day and place…so he didn’t turn up…but is this really possible…i have faith that he didn’t forget anything…then why didn’t he turn up…may be he got struck somewhere…may be may be may be…this may be will someday finish me”
She stood up to eat something….and closed her eyes to take a deep breath and leave….when her nostrils got the smell of her favourite Aloo poori…she turned towards the side from where the aroma was coming , still closing her eyes…she felt someone to be seated beside her, she realised then that he has come…she didn’t dare to open her eyes and quickly turned her face towards the opposite side…
Shivaay looked at her without blinking his eyes….
Shivaay TAM ”She didn’t change a bit …same as she was when she left me, except that she lost some more weight and is seen really thin…but why the hell has she turned her face other side…she didn’t change this way too…she was strange then and more strange now…”
Both remained silent and were waiting for each other to start the conversation….the silence seemed awkward to both of them…Anika was about to give up when Shivaay coughed and said
Shivaay ”hi..Ms…Ms…”
Anika ”hello”
(please note: Anika still didn’t turn her face towards him)
Shivaay ”so..how are you”
Anika ”i..i am good…how…how are you?”
Shivaay ”I am..i am also good…When..when did you arrive here”
Anika felt to scold him for being late, but she couldn’t do that because of the awkwardness of the situation they were in
Anika ”yesterday night we landed in Delhi and today morning i reached here”
Shivaay ”we? you and ?”
Anika ”sahil”
Shivaay ”ohh..i thought”
Anika ”howz your wife?”
Shivaay coughed with that question from her
Shivaay ”she is good…very good…” he spoke audible and then murmured ”i am seeing her now”
Anika ”and kids”
Shivaay once again coughed for a while…
Shivaay ”Yeah 5 kids…two girls, three boys”
Anika ”whaat?”
Anika’s eyes widened…she composed herself
Shivaay ”are you shocked….every two years one kid…it happened, couldn’t stop”
Anika ”okay stop now…i mean …congratulations”
Shivaay ”wouldn’t you ask me their names?”
Anika ”what are their names?”
Shivaay ”Chinku, minku, bunty, monty, rinki, ” he controlled his laugh
Anika ”these are their real names…i mean …sorry to ask this…but i expected some ”
Shivaay ”you expected some…. what?” he turned towards her
Anika ”nothing” she turned her face towards him…he turned his face the other side
Anika ”actually i expected the names of your kids to be modern, stylish and so…”
Shivaay ”it happens…sometimes what we expect doesn’t happen”
Anika ”what”
Shivaay ”nothing…actually my wife decided the names to be so…i was saying that”
Anika smiled silently and looked at the passing clouds..again the silence took the centre between them…
Anika ”you didn’t change …you still can’t lie looking at the person”
Shivaay ”you too didn’t change…you catch my lie easily…but”
Anika looked at him….Shivaay too looked at her….tears slowly started forming in their eyes….their emotions were ready to break the boundary of their patience….both wanted to hug each other at that moment, but tried to pull back their emotions….moved a bit towards each other and stopped…all this they did without taking off their eyes from each other….
After a while, Shivaay’s sight fell on the A&S pendant that Anika wore and Anika’s sight fell on the SRO bracelet that Shivaay had in his hand….Anika wiped her tears and so did Shivaay….
Anika ”So you didn’t get married ”
Shivaay ”NO”
Anika’s bubble of imaginations broke at that point and the sand beneath her feet slipped….her voice trembled and her body shivered….she went blank…as she suffered a severe pain in her entire body, more to her heart…..she didn’t speak up anything….
Shivaay understood her state…Anika didn’t let her emotions outside….she just looked at him, not knowing what to do and what to ask…every moment of her life in these 10+years played before her and she was aghast and drowned in guilt…..
Shivaay looked at her with his emotions breaking in within himself…He couldn’t bear his lady to be in such pathetic situation , but he couldn’t do anything until she speaks up….
Anika ”why?” she gathered courage to ask him finally
Shivaay ’’because, my heartbeat left my heart and i was waiting for it’s return” his voice choked as he looked at her with his most innocent yet saddest looks
Anika finally broke down with his answer….She cried at the top of her voice…Shivaay too had tears rolling out uncontrollably…he didn’t want to stop her tears, neither his tears….after sometime, he couldn’t see her in that state…his hands trembled while he extended them towards her….he finally placed his hands over her shoulders moving near her….
Shivaay ”Ms.Surpanaka…please stop crying…i cannot see you like this…you know this very well” his voice choked while he tried to pacify
Anika ”i am sorry Mr.Ritchie Rich…i am really sorry” she broke down holding his hands bending her head down to her leg joints…………
Shivaay ”okay..okay stop now…it’s over…it’s over….look at me…just look at me…Ms.Surpanka look at me for God sake” he spoke holding her head and trying to lift it up …..
Anika ”i can’t look at you, after what all happened…i don’t have the gits to look at you….i should have listened to you that day, keeping away my anger and doubt aside…but i couldn’t do so…i just destroyed everything….just destroyed…i gave pain to everyone, …everyone.. be it our friends or your, no my family…i hurt them…and most importantly i hurt you…i hurt you Mr.Ritchie Rich..i just hurt you immensly”
Shivaay ”Ms.Surpanka…that phase has ended long back…there is no point remembering it and feeling the pain once again”
Anika ”no…you can’t be so good to me…” she gulped the saliva , lifted her head, wiped her tears and looked at him and continued
Anika ”Mr.Ritchie Rich slap me, thrash me, scold me but please forgive me” she pleaded
Shivaay nodded in agreement and said ”yes , i must do that..because you deserve all those for going away from me for so many years…i must do it because you never felt to turn back and look at me…i must do it for making me far away from you”
Anika ”i am ready to take all of them…go ahead Mr.Ritchie Rich” she said and got up
Shivaay too got up and raised his hand and Anika closed her eyes as tight as possible with tears coming out along with hiccups…….Shivaay had tears of happiness as he remembered the flashback when he was in same position as Anika was now and Anika was in the same situation where he was then….a smile appeared and he remembered how Anika instead of slapping him , hugged him…he couldn’t stop himself anymore and
Shivaay dragged Anika towards him and hugged her and cried…..Anika couldn’t hold back and hugged him as tight as possible….their tears spoke volumes of the pain that they have undergone for long years…their hug gave them the relief that they were searching for so many years…their silence gave them the peace that they could find only in each other ….no words were spoken but many things were expressed in that one hug…and both of them didn’t want to break that hug anytime soon…..they didn’t care for what others would think seeing them…no surroundings, no other people, nothing mattered….they were just trying to relive their moments of togetherness, that slipped away from them for so many years for whatever reason….
After a long time of hugging, they both came into senses…Shivaay cupped her face and bent to kiss her forehead…Anika closed her eyes wanting to be in his solace….he made her sit and he sat down pulling her towards his chest and placing his hands over her back…Anika tied his waist by her hands….
Shivaay ”i missed this all these years…i missed you like anything…if you would have delayed further I would have die….”
Anika quickly closed his mouth nodding horizontally asking him not to say anything of that sort
Shivaay ”why did you go? fine I understand, that day you were hurt , angry and disappointed with me…but how can you just disappear? ”
Anika ”what should have i done…i couldn’t see you with another woman…and i left promising myself not to return ever”
Shivaay ”did you forget, it was never you alone…you and I were never different…you knew this very well”
Anika ”i am sorry Mr.Ritchie Rich…i am really so”
Shivaay ”don’t apologise so many times…it is not needed…you…you…forget it” he pulled her into his embrace with much force
Anika ”i will never do this again..”
Shivaay ”even if you think of doing this stupidity ever, i will kill you first”
Anika ”who has stopped you, you can do anything when it’s about me..your Ms.surpanaka”
Shivaay ”how i miss taking this name every now and then…how i miss teasing you…how i miss all those sweet moments…our meeting without anyone’s notice…those small hugs, pecks, kisses and talks…our banter, our arguments ..everything i missed”
Anika came out of his embrace and straightened herself , she moved towards him and kissed him on his cheeks …she looked other side not able to stare at him out of shy
Shivaay ”you are blushing…yes ..look at you…you are blushing…how i miss this blushing scene..”
Anika smiled sadly and said ”what do you think Mr.Ritchie Rich…was i enjoying my life going away from you…i shed tears everyday remembering you…i tried to forget you..but i couldn’t do that….i died every moment and may be i lived only to meet you today….”
Shivaay ‘’then why did you disappear…did you not feel like meeting me for once…talking to me…’’
Anika ‘’you are asking me this…don’t you know the answer for this’’
Shivaay ‘’I know..but I want to know…you said you will not leave me and stay back as my shadow…then why did you leave me and go…you could have fought with me…’’
Anika smiled sadly
Shivaay ‘’what? I am waiting for your response’’
Anika ‘’I never wanted to say this or rather I never wanted you to know this…but since you are awaiting an answer I am letting you know’’
Shivaay ‘’ I didn’t understand…say it straight’’
Anika ‘’I always kept my promise of being your shadow…you couldn’t see it because it was dark…’’
Shivaay looked at her and said ‘’you mean to say…I couldn’t see despite you being near to me’’
Anika ‘’you conversed with me everyday, without knowing it was me whom you conversed with’’
Shivaay was shocked and he became alert , he said ‘’how can this be possible’’
Anika ‘’because you felt I have left you forever breaking my promise given to you…you couldn’t see I was before you’’
Shivaay was again startled…he gathered himself and said ‘’tell me everything properly…don’t make it complex …say in simple words’’
Anika nodded and looked at the natural scenery before her……

I was totally expecting Shivaay’s side of the story first, as to why he had to get engaged, since that was the reason for the separation. Rather than portraying as Anika’s mistake to never return and reveal her side of the story. But totally in love with this story.
