Jigyasa Singh, renowned for her role in Thapki Pyar Ki, is presently enjoying a hiatus from the small screen. She recently took to her Instagram account to dismiss rumors of her demise, addressing fake news circulated on YouTube. These videos bore headlines such as ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki Actress Passed Away | Last Video’ and ‘Actress Thapki Has Passed Away – Shocking News.’ An indignant Jigyasa Singh refuted these rumors, asserting that she is very much alive and urging people to cease the dissemination of such baseless information.

“Who are these people spreading this? (laugh emoji) Guys, I am alive! MIRACLE MIRACLE! Stop spreading this fake news on fake channels,” she wrote.

The actress was taken aback by the rumors of her death and felt compelled to inform and clarify that they held no truth. Jigyasa Singh’s portrayal of Thapki in Thapki Pyar Ki made her a household name, and she also featured in the show’s second season. However, she had to exit the daily soap due to health concerns.

In Thapki Season 2, Prachi Bansal took over Jigyasa’s role. Reflecting on her decision to step away from the show due to health issues, Jigyasa had previously stated, “I decided to take a break because I have been struggling with some health issues for the past four-five months. I assumed that all the tiredness and restlessness were a result of a hectic shooting schedule. However, after a few tests, I got to know that I had developed a few problems because of continuous shooting. It took a toll on my health.”

At that time, the actress had emphasized her commitment to prioritizing her health and taking a hiatus. She remarked, “I just want to take some rest and focus on my health. I want to be absolutely fine so that I can work for a long time without any break. It was a very tough call for me, but I feel that everyone should put their health on priority.”

Jigyasa also had a role in Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki after Rubina Dilaik’s departure from the show, which underwent a generational transformation. She was paired opposite Simba Nagpal on the series, and their on-screen chemistry was well-received by audiences.
