Thapki Pyar Ki 2 fame Urvashi Upadhyay on completing 14 years in the television industry

Actress Urvashi Upadhyay has successfully completed 14 years in the television industry. The actress talked about it during a recent interview with BT and shared, “I made my acting debut 14 years ago in 2008, with the television show Hamari Devrani. I remember playing the iconic negative role of Manjula Nanavati. It was a role that was most loved and hated by the audience. And I got to win many awards for the same. And I feel glad that people still remember me.”

Urvashi has been an integral part of many popular series such as Thapki Pyar Ki 2, Ishq Subhan Allah, Dil Se Dil Tak, Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, Ek Ghar Banaunga among others. Talking about how the industry has changed and developed, she said, “I feel the TV industry has grown a lot in these years. Earlier when there were no social media we used to get name tags or identities of the role we used to play. But now people know us individually. Earlier it used to be a challenge to win an audience but now there are many easy ways. Earlier it was really difficult to get a break in a show. But I feel now getting a break is very easy for newcomers but to sustain is really a big deal.”

She added, “Today we have more mediums and as an actor, we have options to choose our favorite medium or genres to act. I feel that now shooting style has become easier. Earlier we used to shoot within no time boundaries. So with development technology has made many things easy today for our industry too.”

Urvashi is currently essaying the role of Rupa in the show ‘Rang Jaun Tere Rang Mein’.
