Thapki Pyar Ki 2: Actress Prachi Bansal replaces Jigyasa Singh for the role of Thapki

With actress Jigyasa Singh quitting Thapki Pyar Ki 2 due to health issues. The makers were looking for a replacement. Now according to a report by BT, actress Prachi Bansal has been roped in to essay the role of Thapki.

In a recent interview with BT, Prachi confirmed the news and shared, “Honestly, I am very nervous. I will try my best to live up to the expectations of the makers and the audience. I want people to accept and like me as the new Thapki. Today is the first day at the shoot for me and the team is warm and welcoming. Everyone is helping me, especially the director sir, who is guiding me through every scene. Thapki stammers and to get it right is a huge responsibility. It’s quite difficult for me to cope with it.”

Talking about how she will approach the character of Thapki, Prachi said, “No two actors can have a similar approach to a character. Of course, the character of Thapki has forged a strong connection with the audience and is well established. So, I will try to follow what is expected of the character but I will do it in my own way. I can’t copy the previous actor.”

She adds, “I always wanted to play the lead character and after my last TV show, I was very sure of that. I decided that I would only play the protagonist or else I wouldn’t take up the project. I knew I would crack it one day. There is a right time for everything and for me, the wait to play the heroine in a TV show has finally ended after almost four years. However, it’s not that I was sitting at home. I worked hard a lot and was busy with other projects. I acted in a Hindi film, and am all set to make my debut in the Telugu film industry.”
