Hello friends, i am back with the update. About the answer to the question I asked in the previous update is “4”. People who guessed it correct are FENIL, MARIYAM and MANYA. Huge applause for them. This update is dedicated to them. Hope everyone enjoy reading it.

Chapter-17

Start of something new

“No, I don’t. Not completely.” She replied nonchalantly to the question Omkara asked her, sipping her lassi.

“I like your honesty.” He said smiling at her.

“When will you trust me then?” He asked her.

“When I know that you are being honest with me.” she said smiling at him.

He suddenly remembered something and said, “Come with me, I want to show you something.” And stood from the chair.

“But lassi?” asked Ishanya cutely.

He smiled at her and said, “take it with you” and picked his coffee mug too.

He took her to the private room and switched on the lights. She got surprised to see the more beautiful paintings in that room.

“Why hadn’t you displayed them in the exhibition?” She asked walking inside the room.

“I displayed them in the previous exhibitions but haven’t sold them as I want to keep them for myself.” He said to her while she is busy in admiring the paintings.

“Come” He said and took her to a corner where her paintings were placed.

Ishanya stood staring at them in awe. She went to the painting, where a girl is standing near the garden in moon light. The face is not drawn but she understood it was her in the party night by looking at the dress.

Then she went to the other painting where a girl was melting in rain only her eyes are in shape which are showing pain and fright, she knew, it too is her, in that rainy night when she drove Omkara’s car.

And then she looked at the other painting of her in which too only her eyes were visible which is portraying many layers of shades and her face is covered in scarf but her face was quite recognized not like the other two paintings. She remembered that it is from the day when they first saw each other.

When she looked at the other painting she is in complete awe. She saw herself enjoying the rain with closed eyes and a broad full teethed smile. It looked so alive, as if it is real not a painting. She caressed the painting staring at it while Omkara was staring at her.

“Am I this beautiful?” She asked in low voice.

“No, much more beautiful than this.” Omkara replied in a low whisper looking dazedly at her.

“UH! What?!” Asked Ishanya coming out of the staring session.

“Nothing, nothing!!” Said Omkara coming back to reality.

She then looked at the statue of the hand and then looked at her own hand which is too filled with bangles and bracelets like it. She smiled looking at it but her eyes were saying something else to Omkara.

“What is all this?” She asked pointing to her paintings in confusion.

“Paintings.” Replied Omkara

She gave a look to him and said, “That I know, but these look like…..” was cut in middle by Omkara saying, “Our meetings, right?!” He said coming closer towards her.

“Yeah! But why? Why me? What am I to you?” She asked still in confusion.

“Inspiration.” He said staring at her eyes.

“You are a great inspiration for art. Especially your eyes, they look new every time I see them, just like now.” He continued saying staring at her eyes.

Generally Ishanya wouldn’t have believed this answer and must have probed further but by staring at his eyes she somehow knew he is telling truth.

“So, you started painting me from the first time you saw me?” She asked keeping her eyes down.

“No, I just made it yesterday.” He replied looking at the paintings. She too looked at them.

“The first painting I made of you is this, the one in rain.” He said pointing to the painting.

She again looked at it and now noticed the technicalities of it. It is a water colour painting going with the theme and concept of the painting. She is surprised to see the depth with which he painted her eyes.

She now felt conscious as she got to know that he can read her eyes to some extent and right now he is staring at her. She diverted her attention to the statue and caressed it.

“You have got all the paintings correctly, but not this one.” She said pointing to the statue.

“Why? What is wrong in this?” He asked with confusion.

“Well, that’s for me to know and you to find out.” She said looking at him with a smile. He too smiled at her.

“Ah! Actually, I want to show you something else. But promise me you won’t think of me as a stalker.” He said smiling at her and scratched the back of his neck.

“OHK!! What is it?” she asked curiously.

He took her bracelet from his pocket and looked down.

“Haww!! That’s mine. I lost it in the train.” She said in surprise.

She took it from his hand and asked, “So, you know that it’s mine. How?”

“I was staring at you in the train.” He confessed looking down blushing.

She looked at his red face and broke into laugh.

Omkara lifted his head hearing her musical laugh and stared at her being lost in her.

After few seconds she composed herself and looked at him.

“Seeing all this any girl would think that you are a stalker. Then why did you showed all these to me by yourself when you know that I don’t trust you yet?!” She asked looking at him seriously.

“You were right about trust. We can only trust someone when we know that they are being honest with us…..” He was saying, but was cut short by Ishanya saying, “So, you want me to trust you!! That’s why you showed me all this.” In a tone which scared Omkara that she is going to misunderstand him.

In an attempt to rectify, he said, “I just want to be honest with you. Trust me or not, it is your choice.” Looking straight into her eyes.

Ishanya took a deep breath and just nodded and said, “I need some time to trust you.”

Omkara just nodded in yes. And Ishanya continued saying, “But I like your effort for being honest with me and showing me all these.”

“By the way, why hadn’t you displayed these in the exhibition?” She asked in confusion.

“I wanted to surprise you by showing these and let you know about the connection we share but I thought that you won’t come here so I do not have any reason to display them.” He said seriously surprising Ishanya.

“Anyway, I was not going to display the paintings in which your face can be recognized as I don’t want to invade your privacy.” This impressed Ishanya but she hadn’t let it out and just smiled while he looked at her.

They both were back to reality from their staring session by the buzzing of Ishanya’s phone. She checked her phone and saw that it is a message from Shivaay asking that if she reached her home or not. She replied that she hasn’t reached her home yet as she has some other work in the middle and that she’ll leave for her house soon.

“I need to leave now. It’s getting late.” Said Ishanya looking at Omkara.

“Ok, I am glad that you came here today.” Said Omkara looking into her eyes while Ishanya averted her eyes.

“Bye.” She said and turned to leave but got shocked by the sudden dash of a person carrying paintings and her breath hitched.

Omkara worriedly came to her and yelled at the helper for his carelessness who was there to arrange the paintings.

“Are you ok, Ishanya?” he asked worriedly.

Though she nodded in yes, she was not ok. Her head is spinning and her vision is turning blurry. Omkara noticed that she is not ok. He knew she just got discharged from the hospital but he was careful enough to not bring that topic in their conversation as he doesn’t want to make her uncomfortable.

“May I drop you?” he asked Ishanya hopefully.

She looked at him and said yes completely surprising him. They went to her car and this time Omkara drove her car and dropped her at her house. And this time too Ishanya watched him leaving from her window.

What do you think about the IshOm bonding now?? Are you liking their scenes? Please comment. I am waiting to know your views.
