Guys I’ll start from where I stopped in the last episode. The custody case for a girl is going on.the lawyer for the husband puts forward his closing statement. A voice calls out “ OBJECTION MY LORD”

The owner of the sound gets up from her seat. She adjusts her coat and looks sideways to reveal her face. SHE IS SANCHI!!! (guys I’m not making Sanchi a doctor in my ff. Hope you guys won’t mind. Please bear with me.) Sanchi looks at a lady sitting behind her (the mother) and assures her with gestures. Sanchi moves forward giving a stare to the opposition lawyer. (Ill be calling him only lawyer).
Sanchi: you honour, I totally agree with my friend here. Every children deserve the best. My question is what is the criteria to decide the best. To prove my point, I would like to call Mr. Aditya Saigal to the witness box.
Judge: permission granted
Aditya (the husband) faces questions.
Sanchi: Mr. Aditya Saigal, topper in commerce from Loyola College, Chennai. MBA from IIM Bangalore. You have an excellent Academic credentials. Girls must have really been crazy around you in College.
Aditya: must have been. I never noticed.
SANCHI: (giving an awkward expression) why? Weren’t you interested in girls?

Judge: objection sustained.
Sanchi: sorry my lord. (To aditya)Yours was an arranged marriage. Right?
Aditya: yes, my parents found her for me.
Sanchi: you must have had a lot expectations like the girl should be beautiful, educated, having a reputed job. You must have been really disappointed when you learnt that your wife is not employed. In fact she didn’t even graduate. You must have felt angry on your parents?
Aditya: no, I wanted a simple girl as wife. I had no demands on her education and job.
Sanchi: interesting. She was doing her graduation at the time of your marriage. So why didn’t you help her complete her studies. It wouldn’t have been difficult for you to her her build her career.
Aditya: what was the need. What would she do with her degree. More over, I earn more than enough to support my family. There is no need for an extra bread earner. If she goes for job then who would look after my parents and kids.

Sanchi smiles. The lawyer starts worrying.
Sanchi: sitting at such a high position at a very young age, you must be a really busy man. You also earn a fat income. Tell me how many cars do you own?
Aditya: 2. One is for my personal use and the other for anjali and my parents.
Sanchi:. Oh, so does anjali drive your daughter to school everyday?
Aditya: no, I have kept a driver for their help.
Sanchi: why , doesn’t she know driving?
Aditya: she does, but I don’t like her driving.
Sanchi: she must be a bad driver no?
Adity: women in general are not safe drivers.
The lawyer holds his head. He understands where this is going.
Sanchi: which car are using?
Aditya: BMW X5
Sanchi: and phone?
Aditya: iPhone 8
Sanchi: mhh..the latest model. Thanku. You may take your seat (turning towards the judge)
Your owner, BMW X5, nearly eighty lakhs, iPhone 8, launched in September 2017. He upgrades everything with time, except one thing. His thoughts. Despite attending top colleges in India as graduating as a topper, he still belong amongst those who regard woman should be confined inside the four walls of the house. He may be able to provide his daughter all luxuries in life. But what about the most important thing. When she grows up , she too will have a dream. About her education and career. But being the person he is, there is no doubt that he would never let his daughter pursue her dreams. He would happily marry her off the moment she comes off age.
Your honour, money can never decide the comfort of a child. If it was so, no child should ever be born in a hut. She needs to get respect. A job is not just about making money. It’s about gaining respect in the society.
Your honour, I have submitted a copy of my certificate. It’s enough to prove her will power. She has successfully completed her graduation and also cleared the CA entrance. The gap after her marriage or her divorce didn’t stop her from fighting against time and moving forward. You can’t find a better person to give her the correct upbringing. Being a single mother is never a shame, nor a failure. I myself am a single mother. I get respect from the society. Nor did anyone ever point finger at my upbringing. It’s not about being single. Baat hamari soch ki hain. I request the honourable court to please hand over the custody of little Misha Saigal to her mother Miss Anjali Jain. That’s all my lord.

Sanchi arrives at Jindal Associates. Everyone claps and congratulates her for her victory. Sanchi meets Jindal in his cabin. Mr.jindal comes forward to appreciate her.
Jindal: today you once again made us proud Sanchi.
Sanchi: Sab kuch aap hi se the seekhi hoon(I have learnt everything from you). Aur Devi ma ki trips.
Jindal: (he signals her to sit) I didn’t do anything Sanchi. It was all your hard work and determination. I only guided you.
Sanchi: no sir, you supported me when no one was there for my help. People who promised to be with me life long had left me. I will always be indebted to you know how to thank you.( Her eyes get wet)
Jindal: Sanchi beta, you are not like a daughter to me,but you are my daughter. I was only doing my duty. But kaam ke silsile main I’m won’t look any relation. So here’s your next assignment. I want you to study the case properly. It pretty serious one. The media has also made an issue about it. Our part is also very weak. But I completely trust you with this.
Sanchi studies the file, but then her expression changes. “sir this is….”
Jindal: yes , SDCH case. That’sWhy I want you to take this case. I won’t here a no from you. This case is very important for us.
