The house which was filled with the colours of love laughter and happiness is all pale and dull now. How a death of a single person affects an entire household is clearly visible here. One soul named Kartik has disappeared making the lives of everyone else a hell. As the scene porgresses Naira’s oops sorry Kaira’s room is shown. Naira is getting ready for the day. She is wearing her favourite saree and fills her maang with a thick streak of sindoor. As she finishes her look she hears a voice

Voice: Hayeeeeee

She excitedly turns to see Kartik who is blushing on seeing her and runs to him when a shock awaits her as Kartik disappears. Naira slumps on the floor crying when she realises that Kartik was her imagination. Kairav runs to her and hugs her. Naira wipes her tears

Kairav: What happened muma?

Naira: Nothing beta. Dust fell into my eyes

Naira picks up Kairav in her arms and walks down to the dining table where the entire family is gathered.

Gayu: Pati has died still your love for sindoor doesn’t go

Naira: Gayu Di my Kartik is alive and will come soon. I cannot take off my sindoor

Dadi in a whisper to Swarna: We must get her to reality soon Swarna. She needs to…

Dadi breaks down.

Luv and Kush: Arrey early morning no fights and tears. Kids are getting late for school. Luv picks up Kairav in his arms

Luv: Kairav what will you have for breakfast?

Kairav: Kachori

Naira: Baby Ill make Kachoris in the evening for you.
Luv: So you are finishing your milk now

Kairav : Yuck

Naksh: Along with that you will have the aloo paratha made by mamu

Keerthi : Naira..Akshu is crying

Naira: Ill see to her bahbhi. You have breakfast

Naira goes to Akshu who is in the cradle

Naira: Kya hua Akshu beta? Why are you crying? Achaa you were missing muma.

She picks her in her arms and walks around. Naira stops to see the Garland in Kartik’s photo. She touches his photo with tears in her eyes

Naira: Kartik..no one believes that you are alive…whenever I remove the garland they hang it..they are asking me to not wear sindoor too…but I know that you are alive..you will be back to me.
Kairav: Muma

Naira brushes off her tears and runs to Kairav

Kairav: Muma I am ready for school. Can I play with Akshu till I leave?

Naira: Why not beta? But be careful huh

Kairav gets Akshu and plays with her

Krishna: Didi mare ko aaj exam hai..Im afraid

Naira: I made you revise everything last night na..dont worry you will do well

Krishna in mind: Didi toh bohot serious hogayi kitkit ki jaane ke baad

Naksh comes there with food plate and feeds Naira

Naksh: Along with everyone take care of yourself too

Manish: Haan Naira beta. You must be healthy right

The scene freezes as everyone get out for the day.

Dark Room

After her chores Naira enters the dark room. She adds another line to the counting wall filled with markings of the days she spent away from Kartik. She sees the frog toy and takes it in her hands. Once it is in her hold all the hidden sorrow comes out like water coming out of a spring

Naira: Kartik….I miss you..so much mendak..I miss you….why are you not here now?
The flashes of thoughts when his hand slipped from hers rush through her mind. Tears drip down her cheeks

Naira: But I know that you are not dead..you cannot leave me and die….I know you will come back Kartik.. humare saare spane aur vaade adhure hain Kartik…unko poora karne keliye tumhein aana hi padega…

Naira hugs his photograph and cries loudly thus draining the remaining tears.
The crying sound is heard downstairs

Keerthi: Ill go and see maa

Dadi: Ill go Keerthi. You stay here

Dadi walks to the room. She sits near Naira

Dadi: Naira beta

Naira hugs Dadi and cries

Dadi: Naira beta.. enough of all this..its been many months since Kartik die..disappeared. You have to control yourself…and come out of it

Naira doesn’t react and just keeps her eyes fixed on Kartik’s photograph. Suddenly she collapses

Dadi: Swarnaaa….Surekhaaaa…Come here soon

Everyone rush Naira to the hospital

Sometime later

Doctor: Why were you all so careless?

Naksh: What happened doctor

Doctor: You very well know that she had a history of blood clot in brain. More stress was the reason for it..and now again the stress is there. Where is Kartik? He promised that..
Naksh: Sir..Kartik is no more

The doctor is shocked

Dcotor: What? Im sorry Mr.Singhania. The thing is symptoms of another clot are seen in Naira’s brain. If this develops…

Manish: What should we do now doctor?

Doctor: Currently she needs just medicines and complete rest both mentally and physically. I know its hard for her to move on..that too when…better take her to a tour or something . Maybe she will get a change

Keerthi and Naksh make plans to go to the hills nearby the Kuldevi temple

Dadi: Why there again?

Naksh: Dadi there is a saying that search for something at the place where you lost it. Thats what Naira needs now.
Manish: Naksh is right maa. Even if she gets traumatised again she will atleast accept the reality na.

Dadi: Haan
