Recap: ragini in mm!!
It’s been a week that Ragini is staying in MM! Dp totally adores and loves her as he thinks she’s like him and don’t like ap whereas ap too likes Ragini but is unaware of the reason behind her rude behavior towards her. Sanskaar is unaware of everything happening in the house as he’s busy in his office works in day and with Ragini in night.
Now today as it was Sunday, dp has told Ragini to call her parents here only as they live in a village near the outskirts of Kolkata, as per Ragini. Ragini agreed hesitantly and today her ” parents ” are coming to meet the Maheshwari’s who have kept a small Pooja at their house.
Ragini was in her room dressed in a simple anarkali suit given by ap. She was nervous and her eyes were moist thinking about something.
Ragini ( monologue ): I know this is wrong but I don’t have any other option… I’m so sorry amm….
Her thoughts are broken by the opening of the door and she wipes her tears with back of her hands quickly. She looks behind only to find sanskaar in a cream colour simple kurta pajama! Ragini tried to smile but was unsuccessful. Sanskaar came near her and sat on his knees in front of her.
Sanskaar ( cupping her face. ) ; ragu…. Whts the matter???
Ragini nodded in negative and tried to go but he held her hand making her sit back.
Sanskaar: tell me.. Is there any problem??
Ragini: no.. Nothing like that… Its just that… I’m meeting my parents after so long… So…. U know…..
Sanskaar ( taking her in his embrace.): don’t be sad ragu…. They must be coming anytime… n I don’t think they’ll be happy seeing u like that….
Ragini clenched her fist as tears rolled down her cheeks which she wiped there itself.
Ragini: btw wht r u doing here??
She asked standing up in front of the mirror. Sanskaar smiles naughtily and back hugs her giving her goosebumps.
Sanskaar: I came to meet my fiance…
Ragini: really?? Does she live here??
She punched him in his stomach and marched out followed by sanskaar who rubbed his stomach with his palm….
Dp: ragini beta call ur parents and ask where they are??
Ragini: dad they will reach in next few minutes…
Dp nods and sits down. Sanskaar and ragini too sit. Dp signs ap something.. She goes to the kitchen after nodding. Ragsan looks on.
A man and a woman who were in their earlier 50s comes inside. Ragini goes n hugs them.
Ragini ( whispers ): u know everything na??
The couple nods. Ragini brings them inside. They both were dressed in a simple kurta pajama and a plain sari.. Dp made faces looking at them but pasted a fake smile as ragini looked at him.
Ragini: dad.. They are my mom dad… Mom dad he’s sanskaar and he’s his father….
Sanskaar took blessings from them which irked dp as he never took blessings from him. Dp greeted them and made them sit. Ap comes with tea and snacks and ragini introduced her parents to her.
They all got seated and dp started the conversation.
Dp: as u know our kids love each other.. So I think we should not delay their marriage….
Her parents nodded while sipping their tea. Ragsan look at each other. While sanskaar winks at her she smiles forcefully.
Dp: So shall we call the pandit??
Parents again nodded. Dp somehow controlled his anger as they were just nodding and not replying him. He called the pandit and after sometime he was in MM checking the janmpatri of ragini and sanskaar. Ragini looks at pandit who nodded.
Pandit: tomorrow is an auspicious moment for marriage!
Parents coughed hearing it. Ragini looks at them.
Ap: but its too early….
Dp glares at her and she bows down her head. Sanskaar glares at dp.
Dp: any other muhurat??
Pandit looks at ragini.. She nods.
Pandit: yes it is there…. But after five years…..
Sanskaar: five years???
Pandit nodded. Sanskaar recalls the night he spent with ragini. He got tensed. Ragini smiles looking at tensed faces of the maheshwaris…….
Sanskaar: no.. Its okay pandit ji we’ll arrange everything.. The marriage will be tomorrow only…
Dp: but beta…
Sanskaar: I’m fine with it….
He glares at him.
Dp: bhaisaab I hope u don’t have any problem….
He asked Ragini’s parents who again nodded. Ragini smiles.

It was night, Ragini was standing in the balcony looking at her hands which were decorated with beautiful henna…. Her eyes were moist and her lips were fluttering… She looked out at the countless no. Of stars in the sky…………..
Ragini ( monologue ): this is the last painful night of my life… After that everything will be peaceful…. I’ll be free from all the pain…..
She closes her eyes. Sanskaar’s smiling face flashes in her mind. She bows down her head as the tears rolled down her cheeks..
…….. I’m so sorry sanskaar…. I’m so sorry…. But I didn’t had any choice… U were the only way through which I could reach here…. I know u were not at all at fault but still u hv to go through all this…. I’m sorry. ……
She caresses sanskaar’s name on her hand. She hears the opening of the door of her room. She wipes her tears from back of her palm and turns around only to see sanskaar standing there….
Ragini: arre sanskaar…. U??
Sanskaar ( coming near her ): yeah me… Were u expecting someone else??
Ragini: no… wht r u doing here??
Sanskaar: I came to meet u m spend some time with my girlfriend….
Ragini: really??
Sanskaar ( back hugs her ): yeah coz after tomorrow I’ll be married na….
Ragini looks at him and says sorry to him in mind. Sanskaar tightens his grip on her waist and keeps his head on her shoulder bringing her out of thoughts…
Sanskaar: u know…. I know that I’m very handsome.. But u shld not always stare at me….
Ragini looks away nervously. Sanskaar chuckles.
Sanskaar: arre yaar…. Come inside…
He takes her inside and gives her water.
Sanskaar: y do u get serious all the time?? Now everything is fine….
Ragini ( absent mindedly ): everything will be fine…. Everything will be fine……
Sanskaar looks at her confused. He cups her face.
Sanskaar: ragini….
Ragini ( looks at him ): haan….
Sanskaar: r u okay???
Ragini nods and hugs him. She rests her head on his chest as he pats her back.
Sanskaar: ragini….
Ragini: hmm..
Sanskaar: r u… R u hiding something from me???
Ragini looks up at him. Flashes of two people hanging comes in her mind. She tightly closed her eyes. Sanskaar breaks the hug and looks at her teary face.
Sanskaar: ragini whts the matter baby?? U can tell me….
Ragini just hugs him. A person getting hit by a truck ? flashes in her mind. A layer of tears form in her eyes.
Sanskaar: ragini….
He softly said caressing her hand. Ragini sniffed and tried to control herself.
Ragini: I think… I think u shld leave sanskaar….
Sanskaar: no ways… I’m not going anywhere….
Ragini: sanskaar pls…
Sanskaar: So first tell me whts bothering u??
Ragini: its nothing…
Sanskaar: ragini tomorrow is our marriage and tonight u r crying.. U r disturbed… But u don’t want to tell me….. Don’t u trust me ragini??
Ragini ( cups his face. ): I trust u sanskaar… I trust u but. ..
Sanskaar: but wht ragini??
He asked furiously holding her hands. She looked down. She didn’t knew wht to do? She can’t tell him the truth now bcoz she knows he’ll cancel their marriage and throw her out of this house. n she can’t let that happen at any cost….
Ragini: u’ll get all ur answers tomorrow…
Sanskaar: but ragini…
Ragini: please!
Sanskaar sighs and hugs her. Ragini rests her head on his chest as he pats her back………
Ragini: tomorrow u’ll be ur last worst day sanskaar and after that u n aunty will live ur life peacefully………..
She looks at the frame kept on the table with Ap’s and sanskaar’s pic. She looks at the stars outstanding and closes her eyes and slowly drifts into sleep on sanskaar…….. Lag ja gale…. Plays in bg as the two souls fell asleep hugging each other….
