Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu kaka passes away after a long battle with cancer

Nattu Kaka aka Ghanshyam Nayak of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, who entertained the audience for years passed away on 3rd October 3 after a long battle with cancer. The actor was undergoing chemotherapy. The 76-year-old actor breathed his last at 5:30 pm.

In a conversation with ETimes TV, Jennifer Mistry, who essays the role of Roshan Kaur Sodhi said, “We just got to know about the news and it is extremely sad we have lost him.”

Tanmay Vekeria aka Bagga, said, “I got the news first as his son called me at 5:45 pm. His condition failed to improve after his hospitalisation a few months back. He passed away today at 5:30 PM. He was a gem and was closest to me. He tried his best to work again with us but his health did not permit it. I am very saddened that he is gone.”

Earlier in June Nattu Kaka in an interview expressed his excitement to be back on the sets, he said, “I am absolutely fine and healthy. There’s no such big issue. In fact, viewers will get to see me in an episode of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ tomorrow. It is a very special episode and I hope they will like my work again.”

He also spoke about his treatment and said, “The treatment is on and I hope I will be all good. It’s fine and I am going through the treatment and after tomorrow’s episode, I hope the shoot soon resumes in Mumbai and I get back to work. I am eagerly waiting to get back to work. I go through chemotherapy and it happens once in a month. The doctor has told me I can work and there is no problem. I just want to spread positivity and tell everyone that I am doing fine. I am fit and fine and I can shoot. Whatever the news is going around is old and I want to tell everyone I am fine now. I know I am going to live for 100 years and nothing will happen to me, I know that for sure. I am a positive person and never get upset or negative in life. I want to work till the last breath of my life and would like to die with my makeup on. I just want God to fulfill my wish.”
