SWASAN: The Sword of Love… Chapter 1 [by Raina]

~THE BEGINNING OF THE STORY!~
The water falling from the top of the mountain gives a sound of relaxation, it looked so white and clean. The princess of the land, who will soon be a queen was inhaling the fragrance of the colourful flowers that was so much near to the water falls. “Princess mithra!” she frowned and turned finding her personal assistant who came running to her. “the King is calling you!” she said breathing heavily. “Ragini! I have told you many times to call me by my name!” the princess said and then plucked few flowers. “I know that, but at least outside I should call you Princess!” the princess looked at her angrily and said, “you are with me from my childhood! Still, you say this!” the girl sighed and said, “you are a princess! I am just your slave!” Ragini looked down while the princess stood up from the rock. “have I ever treated you like that?” the princess asked lifting her face holding her chin. “the king is calling you!” she said and went from there. The princess sighed, she hated such discriminations. All are humans anyway!…

PALACE..
The princess of the palace stepped inside holding the beautiful flowers she plucked. The guards saluted her as she walked inside. She directly went to her father’s room passing a warm and kind smile to everybody who were continuously saluting her…

THE KING’S ROOM..
She knocked the door and walked inside the large and magnificent room of the king and saw her father staring outside the window. “father?” the king Shekhar turned to her and smiled walking near her. “come princess! I wanted to talk to you something important!” she nodded and they both sat on a soft sofa present there. “a competition is going to be held! Many princes are taking part in it”. The king paused and saw his daughter looking at him curiously. “I don’t have a son! But I have never felt bad for it. My daughter is enough for me!” he said moving near her and caressed her hair. She smiled looking at him. “why don’t you participate in it? I know my daughter is not less than anyone!” her lips curved more as she nodded to him. “but what competition it is?” she asked. “that competition will last for days! You have to cross so many hurdles and have to find a sword!” he said getting up from the sofa. “a sword?” she asked confused. “yes! It is called as ‘sword of power’. It is a very much powerful sword, if that is brought in our land, it will give us pride and peace!” he again caressed his daughter’s hairs and said, “you are my pride and your smile is the peace of this land! I will not worry if you don’t win! Just give it a try!” she nodded to him smiling, not just a try. PRINCESS SWARA MITHRA doesn’t like to fail. She will try her best to win it. “okay father! I will definitely take part!” she said and stood up all set to go out when Shekhar said, “swara!” she turned to him. “I don’t think any princess is taking part except you! So, take care!” she nodded to him. “do find a prince princess! You are at the age of becoming a queen now!” heat rose up to her cheeks, she just nodded to her father smiling and then walked out to her room…

AT A FAR PLACE..
ANOTHER LAND..
ANOTHER PALACE..
“father! He is younger than me, you are sending him for the competition?” Prince Sahil Prathap fumed with jealousy seeing his father sending his younger brother for winning the powerful sword. “I believe that he is more wise and strong! Sorry son! Only one can take part from a country!” his father said. “and you chose him over me!” the king closed his eyes frustrated. He knew the capacity of both of his sons. Sahil gets angry very easily, this was a competition which tests their character, their power, their mind! And he knew that his younger son Laksh was more capable for this and winning this competition would increase their pride. And the king Prasad Prathap never loves to keep his reputation at stake. “Prince Sahil! It’s decided, it’s Laksh who will go for the competition!” Sahil looked at his father angrily, he was about to say something when his father said, “I clearly remember what happened when you tried to get the princess you wanted!” Sahil closed his hands in a fist remembering his insult. “I was intoxicated that time, father!” he shouted while the king went out of the room carelessly before saying, “but I don’t want to take risk, my son!”…

NIGHT..
Prince Sahil was drinking his wine, his eyes red with anger and jealousy for his little brother. “SANSKAR!” he shouted and his slave came to him running. “I have newly appointed you here! Did my brother see you till now?” he asked lazily under the effect of his intoxicating drink. “he didn’t see me, till now!” his slave answered looking down. Sahil smiled wickedly and said, “don’t go in front of his eyes in this palace! Go from here, because you are going to take part in the competition held for the powerful sword!” sanskar looked at him shocked. “but it’s only for the princes!” Prince Sahil took another glass of drink and started drinking it. “only we both know that you are just a slave! You should just go for the competition telling yourself as a Prince, and you don’t need to win the competition!” Sanskar was just looking at him listening to his words keenly. He had to follow them, a slave after all. “you just have to not let my brother Laksh win it! Be there till the end of the competition, keep defeating him, do whatever you want, but he should not get that sword. Got it!” he asked and sanskar nodded to him. “I heard that Princess Swara Mithra is also taking part!” he whispered smiling seeing his glass. “so when the competition is over. Prince Laksh Prathap should return empty handed and you should return with Princess Mithra! Kidnap her or whatever, but bring her here!” Sanskar nodded to him, Sahil signaled him to go, sanskar was on his way to go out when Sahil again stopped him. “Sanskar!” the slave turned to him and Sahil walked to him still drinking. “I will do everything so that everyone believes that you are a prince! You just do your work!” Sanskar again nodded to him. “no one there should touch Princess Mithra!” he again nodded to him like a puppet. “don’t forget that you are just going to act like a prince!” he said and moved near him and whispered in a threatening voice, “don’t cross your limits, even you should not touch her!” Sanskar again nodded to him. “your wish is my command Prince Sahil!” he walked out saying this while Sahil smirked happily and continued to drink…

NEXT DAY MORNING..
Ragini was helping Princess Swara pack her things for going to the competition. “the chef is asking whether you want to take any food!” Ragini asked looking down, Swara looked at her and sighed, “you are crying?” she asked and Ragini immediately hugged her crying in her embrace. “I have no one in this palace except you! How I am going to live without you?” The Princess closed her eyes and sighed controlling her own tears as she caressed her hairs. Ragini broke the hug and said wiping her tears, “all the best! You will surely win Princess!” she said smiling. Swara cupped her face and wiped her remaining tears and said, “you mean so much to me! I will come back soon! And about living, you are talking as if I am air!” Ragini looked at her. “you can live without me! Why do you consider yourself this much low?” Ragini just looked down and closed her eyes. “I will come back soon!” she opened her eyes hearing her. “you also take care!” Ragini nodded to her. “you keep irritating me saying that you are my slave! So now, follow my orders, take proper care of yourself. Okay?” Ragini smiled and nodded to her and again started to pack her things. Princess Swara wiped her tears before they could escape her eyes. She was going to miss her best friend Ragini, her father, her mother was no more but still she felt her presence in this Palace, she was going to miss her people. But she will still do this, she will definitely win this competition…

NEAR A RIVER..
Sanskar was looking at his own reflection in the water deeply, he looked handsome with the new outfit given by his master. Master! Yes! He had a master and he was just a slave, he had to follow Prince Sahil’s orders. Don’t know whatever he is going to do are right or wrong, but he only had to remember that it is his master’s wish. “this will be your horse!” Sanskar turned hearing the voice and saw his master.. Prince Sahil Prathap. “you look like a prince now!” Sahil said looking at Sanskar. “just LIKE A prince!” Sahil said it in a deep voice and Sanskar nodded to him. “you will be called as Prince Sanskar Nikanj there! I have made all the arrangements, do your work properly! Here, take this horse!” Sanskar again nodded to him and got on the horse riding it from there. Prince Sahil smirked, he had to stay here, otherwise his father will definitely get a doubt. But all his plans are perfect. His brother Laksh is not going to win and he is also going to get… “Princess Swara!” he whispered happily and then moved from there to his palace…

MITHRA PALACE..
Princess Swara Mithra had a plate with flowers and a glowing mud candle in it. She did the puja for the god while all the people, were in the palace to send off their humble princess whom they all adored and loved. Swara completed her puja and hugged her father, she was about to hug Ragini when she moved back and pointed her index finger showing that all were present there. The Princess sighed and hugged her without listening to her. Few people started gossiping while few felt proud of the humble and the kind Princess. She stepped out of the palace with her best friend, her horse. She rode the horse as she moved from there wiping her tears and ready to face a new challenge for her motherland, for the powerful sword..
Little did she know, that this journey is going to change her life, her dream of getting the sword of power will change and will make her fall for someone, she least expected!… the journey to the sword of power, where she was going to fight, show her skills, make her nation proud, there she will feel something she never thought of… LOVE!..
