SwaSan: My Boss – Part 7

As Swara had promised Sanskar he was allowed to come late for next three days.
After about three days later he was wondering why her parents didn’t even come to see her but ignored the fact they might be abroad.
He was busy with fixing meetings for her and she was on her couch working on something on her laptop.
He looked at her because her phone was buzzing continously and she was ignoring it.

Her cigarette between her fingers and she was reading the email. He looked at her to see why she’s not picking up the phone.
“Why are you staring at me? Don’t you have work?” She said without looking at him.

“Well, your phone is continuously ringing and you’re not bother to pick it up? Maybe it’s important.

“If it is then let it be, I don’t care if the other person is dying that side. I m busy with my work.”

“When will you stop smoking?”

“Didn’t we have a talk about it? And specifically you are the one who was saying I m single and not planning to get married so why bother? My short life. I m happy with it.”

“Fine, you have meeting with Mrs Sharmista Bose in half an hour , I don’t know this woman is so desperately wanting to meet you, she calls me every other day just to have a meeting with you. Maybe a good business deal. Later legal head wants to come over with some documents for your signature. That’s it for the day.” He turns to leave.

“Wait, cancel meeting with that Bose and never ever get any meetings fixed with her or her husband. blo*dy desperate people.”

“Why but? I mean see at least what she wants from you?”

“Well, she just wants to waste my time. Nothing else, you call legal head now only. We will get it done now and you can leave. ”

“What? Why are you asking me to leave early? You’re okay right?”

She ignored him. His presence was making her heart rate going faster than usual. It was like her heart would break the ribs and fall on his feet. She didn’t knew what was happening. It was better for her to stay away from him.
Her work schedule for the day was over. Her physiotherapist was there because of her leg and was instructing her to do minute exercises while Sanskar was watching her.

Ragini her best friend was also there. She’s been helping her with some documents and keeping them in the study. Sanskar too is helping her despite Swara told him not to and asked him to go. Ragini found it odd but thought she’ll ask her later after he’s gone.

After about one hour of her exercise Swara, tired, was on her couch with Ragini discussing something about her mansion.

The door bell rang and Swara looked at both me and Ragini in confusion.

“You both are here, who can be at this hour?”

“It must be dida” Sanskar smiled.

“No, not possible. I have spoken to her a while ago and she’s still there” Swara answered.

“Maybe she wants to surprise you?”

“Why will I get surprised to see her?”

“Come on guys, stop acting so stupid! Go and open the door you’ll see for yourself who is it?” Ragini said hitting her head.

The minute he opened the door, there was a woman in mid forties standing, she looked extremely rich by her attire. Since Sanskar has opened the door fully she can look inside but Swara didn’t see her, as Ragini was sitting beside her.

Sanskar looked questionly at the lady.
“Will you let me come in?” She asked him and then pushed him and got in.

Both SwaRagini are shocked to see her. Swara looks at Ragini and then at Sanskar.

“I didn’t let her in, she just pushed me and got in” he immediately justified himself.

“Come Sanskar, we’ll go, anyways you should go now and I was also leaving so, come I’ll drop you. ” Ragini dragged him.

“If Swara needs something? We both can’t just leave her alone right ?”

“No, Swara will manage, you come with me now. You get some dinner for her from her favorite restaurant and she will be more than happy.”

Swara: what are you doing here? Don’t you have any other work? (Her was Stern, she was just ignoring her)
Sharmista: can’t I see my daughter? I was trying to get in touch with you for a very long time but your p.a isn’t giving me or shekar any appointments. Such a moron he is.
Anger was boiling inside Swara but she controlled making a fist.
Swara: wow?! After 17 years you realized that you have a daughter , mother?!. First of all I asked him to not to give you any appointments. Secondly stop commenting on my p.a . However he is at least he’s with me unlike you and your husband who left me. Sharmista Bose.

Some memories flashed her and Her anger was reaching to a peak.
Sharmista: please Swara, not in this situation also, I m here to see you, just to see if you’re fine or not.

Swara: I m totally fine, you may leave. I don’t want anyone to come in my private space, especially you and shekar Bose. The door is open, you may leave.

Sharmista: is this the way you talk . . .

Swara: cut the crap! I hope I never ever see you or hope we never meet again. Just leave.

Sharmista left from there.Swara’s anger was getting worse. She just threw all the things near hand. She sat back resting her head on the couch. Tears had formed in her eyes. She just let her eyes closed.
***Flash back ***
Sharmista: Swara come quickly. We have to go somewhere else to.
Swara: mom… please. Can I come with you? I don’t want to leave this house. I won’t disturb you any more.
Sharmista: just shut up Swara and get in the car quickly. I don’t want to waste my time with you. First of all I never wanted you in my life. It’s because of you I couldn’t go out and shekar also gets irritated seeing you. It’s better I leave you somewhere.
Swara was sobbing while sharmista dragged her in the car and after a while left her in a orphanage. She was not willing to let her go but Sharmista made herself firm and left her there.
For months Swara stayed in a orphanage despite being so rich. Everyday she was tortured by kids there. It was only when dida had returned from abroad and got to know about Swara, she got her back.

In these months Swara realized she was unwanted. Sharmista had made it clear to dida that Swara was brought to this world only on dida’s saying not because she or shekar wanted a child. She wanted to enjoy her life and Swara was being a obstacle in her way.
*** End of fb***
Despite of being so rich, she did not have anyone. Swara felt her life is a curse. She had no relations other than dida and Ragini. Or on the other hand she didn’t make any relationships, she was scared to make one. What if anyone left her again?

Trust, the five letter word she had in none. Her own parents had abandoned her so why would she trust anyone else? She’d realized that only money would give you respect and for that money and enjoyment her parents left her ,she could also earn and show them how she could also ignore and abondan them like they did.

Swara slept there weeping. The more she was thinking about her past the more she was getting hurt. Somehow she slept on the couch itself.

Later when Sanskar came back he saw her sleeping there and went near her. The moment he saw her face he was shocked. Tear stains were on her cheeks. He never in life expected her to cry and that too so badly that her face had turned pale.

He picked her up and placed her in her bedroom. She was in deep slumber and she didn’t even realize that she was picked up and kept her gently not making her get up from her sleep. He removed few hair strands which were covering her face and left from there.

In the morning Swara found herself on her bed and she looked around to see her wheelchair not in the room. She got up and realized her phone also is not there.

She goes hopping out on her one foot to the living room.

“I don’t know you play hopscotch” Sanskar opened the door and laughed.

Swara startled by his sudden voice and turned to see him which made her loose her balance.

“I’ll surely break my other bone too”she thought in her mind and closed her eyes as she was about to fall.

Before she could fall, Sanskar held her. Swara saw herself in her arms. Both shared an eyelock. Swara was going on admiring him.

“Ohh hello, I told you many times you’re very heavy. And now your plastered leg makes you more heavy.” Sanskar cleared.

“So who told you to hold me? Let go of me” she pounced back.

“If I leave you, you’ll probably break your back too”

“It’s your fault!”

“What’s my fault?”

“You were the one who put me on my bed and didn’t keep the wheelchair”

“So who asked you to move from there?”

“Guys? How much do you argue over stupid lame things?” Ragini came into the picture.

“He started it” Swara complained like a small child.

“Ohh please” Sanskar snapped back.

“Why don’t you keep her on the couch instead of holding her like that and arguing?” Ragini questioned him.

SwaSan realized that they were still in that position and arguments were continuing despite being in that position.

Sanskar placed Swara on the couch.

“Anyways Swara I came to give you some documents of the mansion. I need to go, you guys can continue your love-hate fight ” she smiled and barged towards the door from there.

Swara turned red. While Sanskar avoided eye contact with her. There was some awkardness between them.

“You better give me the keys” she cleared.

“And how will you open the door?”

“You know it’s so creepy to find myself on bed like that, and some minutes back you were going to break my other bones too, you better give my keys back”

“Ohh please, it’s not creepy, didn’t your parents place you on bed when you slept on the couch?”

Swara had no words to spoke to him, she just stayed silent.

“You know what’s creepy? Seeing your tear faced with kajal and mascara. I almost got scared seeing that you are a ghost” he laughed loudly.

Seeing him laugh, Swara also laughed a bit.
