swasan “love or infatuation” one shot

“finally the day came” swara thought as she turned off her alarm and got up from bed . she got fresh and came down…..
she saw her mom cleaning the house . she smiled and went to her. she greeted her and asked her if she need any help and just then she saw two girlz coming in.
ragini and kavita (her best friends) who are damn excited and she knows the reason for their excitement…they came , greeted my mom and took me with them making many excuses.
ragini : aunty we are doing group study….
sumi (swara’s mother) : u three and study that too together…next to impossible…….
i laughed in my mind seeing them making excuses and my mom pulling their leg . Though i am from middle class family , my mom loves kavita and ragini alot.
we came out in a garden.I asked them about their visit at my house so early.they made excuses but i caught them and then they came on point….
ragini : do u know what date is it today?
swara : yeah i do , but whats special??
i asked casually acting like i dont care or i dont know whats special.
kavita : dont act ….
and see they caught me but i was also stubborn .
swara : i am not acting..
kavita : from when u started hiding things from us…
ragini : and that too ur feelings , ur emotions , dont hide….
and here they are , they started .using my weakness , EMOTIONAL BLACKMAILING…and i gave up , i know i cant win over them in this matter ….”THIS MATTER ” she thought …the matter of sanskar , my cousin , should i say LOVE OR INFATUATION …i loved him from my childhood or should i say i am obsessed …i didnt confess my love because i always fear that it may affect our friendship …. i played many quizzes to know what is it , LOVE OR INFATUATION , but look where i am after all struggle , avoiding him , making myself bzy , not thinking about him and many others , but see where i am ???…….
she thought and sighed …..and looked at her friends who are looking at her with their mind full of questions….
ragini : so what u decided???
kavita : will u tell him about ur feelings….
swara : i…. i dont know , i think i shouldnt , actually i am afraid ……
ragini : but why???
kavita : except your frienship tell any other reason…
swara : he belongs to a rich family and i am from middle class family , he is so handsome , dashing and what i am conpared to him and most importantly , what if he doesnt love me??? what if he rejects me???
ragini : till when u will hide ur feelings….
swara : i dont know ….
kavita : he is coming back today after 4 years …..

swara thought
4 years , these 4 years i tried my best to make myself believe that there is nothing like love , its just infatuation , but all in vain…he is coming back today and i am going to see him after 4 years , my mind asks me not to meet him because i will loose control on myself but my heart says just once, see him just once , its a conflict between heart and mind ….and like always
my heart won..she thought and got up ….
ragini : where are u going?
swara : to face the biggest fear of my life…..
kavita : u decided to tell him…
swara : yess….
kavrag : all the best ….
she left from there but her mind is constantly asking her

and she has no answer …..
she comes to a mansion and there she was greeted by her aunt …she talked with her for sometime and then her heart froze to see him ..
there he is …her sanskar , her love , her life , her everything…..
she saw him coming towards her and there he is standing infront of her , smiling ….he greeted her and she replied back , they spent sometime talking , laughing and then…….she decided to say it….
swara : sanskar …
sanskar : huh….
swara : umh….actually…..uh….
sanakar holds her hand and she felt a current passing through her body…
sanskar : dont hesitate , tell me….
swara : actually …..i……i wanted to say that…….i……i …..i missed u….
sanskas smile faded
sanskar : is it what u wanted to say?
swara : yess , i need to go , everyone will be waiting….

ragini : what happened??
kavita : what did he say??
ragini : did u tell him ???
kavita : did u meet him???
ragini : did……………..
swara : i met him but ….
ragini : dumbo u again didnt tell him….
kavita : let it ba naa , she cant do it , i will talk to sanskar about it….
swara : no no no , plzzz i decided not to tell anything and leave everything on destiny…..
ragini : and what about ur mom??
who is constantly asking u to get married and u always refuse but have no solid reason for refusal to tell her………………………………………………………………………………………………..
RIGHT , THEY WERE RIGHT , swara thought …i refused mom everytime saying silly reasons but what to do
i cant forget him…
i cant tell him about my feelings..
i cant share it with mom..

I slept after crying for hours because i have done what i never wanted to …….
i said YES for marriage……………………………………………
i got up and became fresh and i got worst news of my life….
Sumi : swara today boyz family is coming to see u……
i tried hard to control my tears but couldnt so i nodded and ran to my room and cried my heart out…..
i wiped my tears seeing my mobiles screen flasing sanskar calling……i didnt pick it up at first but at the end i picked it up because i knew he was stubborn…
i tried sounding happy…
swara : hey sanskar. , whats up??
sanskar : come down….
and he disconnected the call …..i could feel the anger , pain and all type of emotions in his voice , for once i forgot about my pain and washed my face and came down …
and there he is sitting with my mom , dad , ragini and kavita…..
i came down and saw the teary faces of ragini and kavita …..
i got worried ….they ran and hugged me…….i was shocked…..
i asked them if everything is alright……they didnt say anything and moved away….i looked at all of them confused……
sumi : beta sanskar wants to talk to u………
i saw my mom signalling sanskar and i was like WHATS HAPPENING?????
my mom asked me to take him up and i took him to my room…….
and THUD i listened him closing the door angrily….i was shocked at first …..i asked him politely….
swara : sanskar what happened ???is everything alright????
i was still thinking what happened to him when he pinned me against wall and blocked my way…..

swara : sanskar …
sanskar : ssshhhhh keep quiet , when i , not only i everyone wanted u to say , u were quiet but now when i am talking keep quiet and listen…..
i was confused but more scared because i never wanted to loose his frienship…..
sanskar : u agreed for marriage?
swara nods….
sanskar gets angry ….
sanskar : dont u love me damn it…
….i looks at him with teary eyes..and he melted seeing my tears……
he cupped my face and told me the golden words , these were not only words for me , it was my life…………………………………………………………
sanskar : i love u swara , i loved from childhood but realized when i went away from u , when u started avoiding me , then i thought it was infatuation but no , it was love , i love u , will u accept me as ur life partner……..
this is what i left on destiny , it was time to tell him how much i loved him but words froze in my throat , i couldnt say anything , i just hugged him and he reciprocated………………………………………………………….
and there came my besties for spoiling our moment , for pulling my leg …..
