Chapter 26 – Your tears hurts me
Swara sobs in his embrace remembering her past, Sanskar tights his grip around her sensing her shiver recalling the nightmare of her life. He kisses on top of her head making her assure that he is with her always.
“I am so scared now, he is back. He is back to make my life hell again. I will die if he gets me back. I won’t be alive. I won’t be alive” Swara keeps lamenting and Sanskar try to console her, but her fear dominates his soothing words and nothing gets registered in her mind.
With no other option, he captures his lips with hers and makes her calm and quiet for the time being. He gently invades her lips with his and makes her forgetting the cruel past. She complies with him in each move on her lips, forgetting her sorrow and losing her sense in his soothing kiss.
The kiss just gives her an assurance for her to trust him that he will not let her go away from him. He gives the promise of protecting her forever. He indicates her that she is his life, no matter what; he is going to be with her in all ups and downs of their life. He gives a vow of being together forever is their destiny and no fate or f**king people can change this.
He looks at her eyes with the tears keeps rolling, he stops the tears by kissing her softly on both of her eyes and nods no saying, “Till I am alive, I don’ t want to see the tears in your eyes”. She nods at him positively and he continues, “Promise me, you should not cry for anything, on anytime and face the world boldly. I never ever want to see the tears in your eyes, it hurts me here whenever I see the tears in your eyes” and he points his finger to his heart and waits for her to give him a promise.
She cups his face and stares him lovingly while he is waiting for her promise and raises his eyebrows at her.
She pecks his lips saying,
“Promise, I won’t shed tears from now on” again she pecks his lips and said,
“Promise, I won’t cry for anything and anytime however cruel the situation is” Sanskar smiles looking at her and again she pecks his lips saying,
“Promise, I will face the world bravely and will encounter all the challenges in my life without fear” she pause it for a second and continues, “As long as you are with me”
Sanskar smiles at her, “If I am not with you also, you should live your life valiant, prove the world that you are one strong woman who never lose the courage and face the worst situations fearless. PROMISE ME”
She controls her tears which are almost ready to roll hearing his words, she closed her eyes and takes a deep breath and gaze his eyes with a determination. She leans close towards him and captures his lips with her & mumbles on his lips, “I PROMISE YOU”. She makes the kiss more passion, though she takes the initiative, later Sanskar dominates her and takes the full control of it.
They both lying in the bed cuddling with each other, Swara keeps giving warm pecks on his bare chest. Sanskar’s face rests on her head whereas his arms wrap her body and he pulls her more close to him.
Sanskar, “Senorita”
Swara, “Hmm”
Sanskar, “You are testing my patience”
Swara smiles at his chest and snuggle more than before, he laughs at her antics and tightens his hug mumbling, “I LOVE YOU”
Their night went off cuddling into each other’s arms, next day Swara wakes up feeling hot rays on her face. She opens her eyes to find the empty space beside her, she got up and find Sanskar nowhere in that room.
She goes to check him but stops by Ragini, “Hey, good that you woke up. I was about to come. Fine have this dress, get ready fast. We have to go to temple and come back soon. Nandu mom wants you to visit the temple before the marriage. It’s so special for our family and you too should know it. Only we both are going, so get ready fast.”
Swara, “Ok”
Ragini is about to go and she calls her, “Ragini, Where is Sanskar?”
Ragini, “I don’t know, I did not see him from the morning”
Swara’s face fell and she worries of not seeing him anywhere, Ragini understands her worry and said, “Don’t worry. He is not a kid and he will be back soon by the time we reach home from temple”
Swara nods her head and goes to get ready. Ragini & Swara makes themselves comfortable in the back seat and the drives takes them to the temple. All the while Ragini and Swara have a talk and it was more of Swara. After sharing her grief past with Sanskar, she did not hesitate to share it with Ragini.
Ragini feels bad hearing her past and hugs her tightly, “I am sorry Swara. Initially even I was so rude to you and hurt you intentionally. I am extremely sorry; you have gone through a lot in your life. I wish that devil should die in a worst way. You don’t worry about anything, we all are with you.”
Soon they reached the temple and goes inside to perform the ritual as instructed by AP. The priest gives them the things they need to do for the ritual. Since it is a good day, so many people are gathering in the temple which gives a hard time for Ragini & Swara to perform their prayer.
They somehow perform the rituals and the final part is to come around the entire temple, Swara stop Ragini to come with her since she is pregnant and feels tired if she does this. Ragini too agreed and waits for her near the temple sanctum.
Swara starts walking around the temple and with her many people are walking around the temple. After a few seconds, she senses someone’s gaze on her. She did not stop walking but still turns to see who is gazing her. She couldn’t find anyone since everyone looks so devotional towards the god. She walks further but stops hearing the name called by some random voice, “Shona”
Swara’s eyes keeps searching for the person who spells the name and her eyes clearly showing the fear by looking around the people. She immediately starts running towards the sanctum where Ragini is, suddenly a strong grip holds her hand and pulls her to the corner behind the tree.
She tried to scream but before that he shuts her mouth and warns her not to raise her voice a bit. Swara’s body shivers seeing him after a long time, tears pricks in her eyes looking at him and stutters, “Leave me please” and before she finish it off, he shush her with an angry look and said, “I love to see your tears Swara. It gives me so much of pleasure”
Swara’s mind goes back to Sanskar’s statement, “It hurts me when I see the tears in your eyes” pointing the finger at his heart.
She immediately wipe out the tears which is about to flow on her cheeks and gives him a daring look. He takes back for a second seeing the change in her and smirks evilly looking at her from top to bottom.
Swara feels disgusting by his lusty glare on her body and try to run but he twists her arms to her back making her wince in pain and mutter in her ear, “You have no way to escape from me Swara. Not this time”
Before her act, she hears a painful scream from him and her hand gets released from his grip. She steps front and turns back to look at him but gets shocked seeing Ragini with a puja plate in her hand and he falls on the floor unconsciously.
Ragini goes to Swara and drags her from there to the car and urges the driver to go home soon. Inside the car, Ragini and Swara are breathing heavily, Ragini finds Swara’s body is still shivering. She hugs her to calm her down and whisper, “Nothing happened. Calm down”
Swara, “He is back, he is back to show me the hell”
Ragini cups her face saying, “If he is back to show you the hell, then Sanskar is there to rot him in the hell. We are going home now, so calm down now or else everyone there will shoot us by the questions”
Soon, they reached home; they both get inside home and finds Sanskar looking tensed. His look changed within a fraction of seconds once he finds Swara in front of him.
“Where were you? You did not even take your mobile with you. I was trying to reach you and do you know how much worried I was?” Sanskar burst out his turmoil at her making her flinch.
AP comes to him, “Why are shouting at her? I only told them to go to the temple and perform the puja before the marriage. She did what I said”
Sanskar did not even turn to her and fixed his gaze on Swara. He finds her looking tensed, her eyes shows him the fear of an unexpected happenings.
Sanskar, “What happened?”
Ragini blinks of not knowing what to say and she did not want to interfere between them. Laksh comes to her after finding her weird expressions.
Laksh, “Why are you too looked tensed? Anything wrong?”
Ragini falters, “Uhhh…mmm, Ne…Laksh”
Sanskar moves his gaze from Ragini to Swara and sway her again asking, “Tell me now, what happened?”
Laksh also lost his coolness finding something wrong and asks, “Are you going to say or not?”
Ragini, “We did puja in the temple and it was so crowd today. The priest told us to come around the entire temple once to finish the ritual. Swara went alone and I did not go since I was feeling tired. I was waiting for her to come soon but I did not find her for long. So I went to the opposite side to check her and search for her everywhere. She was being harassed by someone; he twisted her hand and giving her pain. I don’t know what to do, I hit him back at his head with the puja plate and got her from there to the car”
Sanskar looks at Swara who is still in fear thinking about the incident. Sanskar husks, “Swara”
Swara slowly raise his hands towards his collar and grabs it with fear, “He won’t leave me. He won’t leave me”
Sanskar hugs her and pats her head gently to calm her down. LAKSH, Laksh & AP together asks, “Who is he?”
Sanskar gives them a glare, Ragini comes forward saying, “Sanskar, you take her to room. She is scared, she needs you”. Sanskar takes Swara with him and goes to his room as suggested by Ragini.
The trio now turns to Ragini and looks at her for an answer. Ragini tells them everything what Swara told her. Laksh folds his fist and shouts, “I won’t leave him alive for sure, if I get to see him”
AP, “LAKSH?”
LAKSH signs her and said, “I know what you want to say. I will talk to commissioner about this matter. You all concentrate on the marriage and I will handle it”. Ragini smiles at Laksh seeing AP’s care for Swara.
After a while, Ragini gets Swara ready for the Haldi function, Sanskar buttoning his shirt…Laksh comes to him and he starts buttoning it saying, “I never tried betraying you brother. I always wish for your happiness. I wanted to become your little brother again. Will you give me a chance?”
He looks at him with tears; Sanskar removes his hands from him and walks out silently. Laksh feels bad and follows him wiping his tears away.
Ragini finds him upset and knows the reason behind it. She goes to him, “Give him some time Laksh. He cares for all of us, I realized it. It’s not easy to forget the years of pain so easily. As you said, we misunderstood him and punished him for the mistakes which he did not do. His anger on us is reasonable. We have to wait for his forgiveness. We will wait”
Laksh nods at her and sighs, he smiles looking at Sanskar who is mesmerized seeing Swara. He chuckles at his look and said to Ragini, “My big brother is smitten by a cute Kitten”
Nesam laughs seeing them and their antics. AP starts the ritual and performs it whole heartedly. She looks very happy seeing Sanskar’s happiness with Swara. Finally she accepts Swara from her heart and pray god to keep them happy forever.
Once the function over, LAKSH informs them, “I have arranged a small party in our home today evening. Just to celebrate this moment. All our business friends and family friends also will be coming to wish them. So have the arrangements ready and make them dress nicely”
AP, “Marriage is tomorrow and why you are arranging a party now?”
DP, “Few of my friends are going abroad tonight itself. They can’t attend the marriage and they want to see Sanskar & Swara. So I thought why not we have a party…it’s been a long time now. Just chill Anu, you have the people to do all the work and you are just going to instruct them. But make sure it should be the best”
AP rolls her eyes and murmurs, “You never leave a chance of taunting me” she makes face and goes in to check out the arrangements.
Evening, everyone got ready for the party, Sanskar in a black and white modern casual top V-neck waistcoat party wear with Black jeans and is waiting for Swara to show her appearance.
Ragini gets Swara to the living hall where everyone gathers, her eyes gets fixed with Sanskar’s and vice versa

Ragini makes her stand beside Sanskar; he immediately holds her hand muffling, “Beautiful”
Swara’s face reflects with a pinkish red exactly matching with her dress color.

Swara’s face becomes crimson red than before hearing him and gets a tough time to hide her blush. Sanskar too smile lightly seeing her effort to hide her blush.
DP introduces Swasan to his friends in his business circle and proudly praise about Swara to them. Sanskar gives him a satisfying smile seeing his care on Swara and the same way to AP also.
Laksh plays a mild song in the background and initiates the couple dance getting Ragini to the center stage. Soon everyone joins the dance with their couple. Sanskar holds Swara close to him, wrapping his arms around her waist.
She gently covers his neck by her arms and glues her vision to his eyes. They both get lost in each other’s love forgetting the surroundings. The party is going on, meantime DP takes Swara alone to the backyard and said, “I have a gift for you”
Sanskar, AP, Raglak everyone gathered there and stands behind them.
DP calls someone and shouts, “Get him here”
A man in the early fifties and a few people in police uniform comes forward dragging a person who is injured badly, he is unable to open his eyes at all to see where he is.
DP looks at the old man and said, “Thanks a lot Mr. Pravith, you really did a great help in getting him.”
Pravith, “No problem DurgaPrasad, person like him should be rotten in jail. After hearing his deeds from you, I myself wanted to kill him badly, but before that I wanted to show you his state of being helpless now”
DP smiles and looks beside him to find Swara stares him shockingly. DP pats her gently and said, “Do whatever you want. If you want to kill him also, go ahead. Pour all your angry on him until you feel light from your heart. Insane like him should not be alive Swara. I know what kind of tortures you had and he is the sole reason for your mom’s death. Punish him. Only you have the rights to punish him. Go Swara. I am with you, don’t get scared”
Swara’s eyes filled with fear and anger together. She roots to the place where she is and just stare the person who is half alive and trying to look at her with much effort.
Unknown fear appears in her, her body starts trembling realizing his lusty glare on her even now. She feels disgusted and walks towards him.
She finds him smiling at her with much effort; she spit on his face and said, “You are already dead for me. I don’t want to carry the sin of beating the dead person. It’s disgust for me even if I touch you”
She runs back to Sanskar and hugs him tightly crying her heart out. DP gives a proud look at Swara and signs Pravith to get him out from there.
DP goes to Swara and wipes out her tears, “Now you are my daughter, I only want your happiness. Your happiness lies in Sanskar’s and in this family”
He gets them all in home and rejoins the party. Laksh comes to him and said, “Papa, you became hero suddenly. How come? I seriously did not expect it from you”
DP raise his brows throwing him an attitude look and said, “Police commissioner helped me in tracking down his identity. I got the CCTV footage of that temple and he tracked down him in his place and got him in his custody”
AP comes to him, “You know what, I love you more for this one act”
DP throws his hands on air and hugs her having the cheerful noise behind him. Sanskar too smile looking at them and this is noticed by Raglak and Swara.
The party goes on late night and all gets settled in their rooms once the party is over. Sanskar leans on the wall to his back sitting on the floor in the balcony, having Swara leans on her back to his chest resting her head on his shoulders. Both staring the moon aimlessly and Swara looks back at Sanskar’s face making him quiver little and stares down at her face.
Sanskar, “What?”
Swara, “I have a gift for you”
