Recap : Friendship time between Sashi and Swasan. Angered and Jealous Kavita
At Swara’s home
Swara entered and was dead tired, Nandini came and handed over glass of cold water for her so that she would feel fresh,
(Nandini) “Swara, have some water. So how was your day?”
(Swara) “Call Ragini and Mom also, else I have to repeat the same thing to her and at present I do not have patience to tell the same thing again.”
(Nandini) “Fine, I will call them till that time you go and freshen up yourself and come to the dining table. None of us had dinner today.”
(Swara) “Why so late? Anyways I will go fast and come just give me ten minutes.”
Then in ten minutes Swara freshened up and came and joined her family for dinner,
(Sharmishtha) “So how are your classes going on and your work? You look very tiring I suggest you drop working as part time librarian. Look at your health you are over-straining yourself my child. I want you to be successful in studies and balance Ragini and I are managing don’t worry.
(Swara) “Mom control your emotions (she said that chuckling). I am not over straining. I am perfect. I am not leaving the job and moreover I am going to get a hike because librarian is impressed by the work that I am doing. I am concentrating on studies too. When I am in library I complete of my studies and assignments. If I have anything pending I complete that in my one hour journey in bus from university to home. So I have everything sorted and under control. Please do not increase your blood pressure.”
(Sharmishtha) “I can never win against you can I. Anyways I am going to sleep tomorrow a group of inspectors from the Government side are coming to inspect the school, so I have to be there early. So take care and Good night to all my lovely girls.”
All the sisters in unison “Good Night Mom”
(Ragini) “Mom, I will get up early and cook your breakfast and lunch, don’t worry on that (she said with a smile).”
Waving their pleasantries to each other the duo of Ragini and Nandini wanted to get more information,
(Nandini) “So what else special happened today in university.”
(Swara) “Nothing much guys. We have to represent university at an inter-collegiate fest for a music competition.”
(Ragini) “So Sanskar is also going to perform? I guess you both are in the same group isn’t it?”
(Swara absentmindedly) “Yup both of us are in same group and you know what we both have become friends too” (Swara dosed in her dreamland)
(Nandini shaking Swara) “Ooooooooh, so friends huh? Do you feel for him Swara?”
Swara coming out of her trance,
(Swara) “I like him as a friend. He has certain thoughts that are hidden in his eyes and he doesn’t share but he tries to be strong and keeps flirting with girls. He is hiding his real identity behind his eyes.”
(Nandini) “You know what Swara, you like him more than a friend, you feel for him and the way you express it’s clear that you are falling for him.”
(Swara) “I can never fall for anyone Nandini. I have my career ahead and I have to earn so much that Mr.Shekhar should regret leaving our family. He had an extra marital affair, how can I forget all that Nandini. All men are the same that is why it is better for me to stay friends with Sanskar and Sahil than have any other feelings.”
(Ragini) “Just because of one man why are you cursing all the men Swara, not all men will be the same. There will be a man who will love you who knows that might be Sanskar. If you have feelings admit it Swara that will not deviate you from your career. Probably it will help you feel stronger. Please Swara give love a chance. Don’t block your heart Swara.”
(Nandini) “Exactly Swara, Ragini is right, you should live your life a little, don’t stress yourself or over-burden yourself, we are always there to back you up. If you fall we will hold you.”
Swara tried to process what her sisters were telling and she didn’t know how to react,
(Swara) “I will think about it but at present we are friends and I would like to be that. Let me take one step at a time. Happy. Anyways Ragini I have to tell you something on Sunday we are meeting one person for your treatment”
(Ragini) “But Swara, I am fine and I do not have nightmares or even depression. Then why should I go visit a doctor”
(Nandini) “Oh Please Ragini, when none of us are at home and you are alone, I have seen you getting sad and lonely, so don’t you dare lie to me.”
(Swara was all ears when Nandini had told this) “How do you know this Nandini?”
(Nandini) “Actually one day I had forgotten my book so I had come back home again to fetch my books and that is when I saw Ragini crying and she was crying very badly, I wanted to go to her and hug her but I had to leave as I had to go to school within lunch break gets over and if I would have skipped then Ragini would have questioned me so I left from there. I wanted to confront Ragini on this but always either I was busy with studies or she was busy with something and I never got any time to say for which I feel very guilty”
Ragini was shocked on this revelation and she didn’t know how to react at all. So she planned to leave the place but before that Swara held her hand and said
(Swara) “I don’t understand why you have to hide this but I am making sure of taking you to the doctor on Sunday and there is no argument on that. Mom already knows about that and I am making sure we do not delay the treatment. Now if you want run wherever you want but on Sunday there is no turning back”
Ragini just nodded her head and left the place, Swara turned to Nandini
(Swara) “Next time please remember all this important thing and even if I am busy you got to disturb me and let me know at the earliest. I do not want to take a chance with Ragini’s health. Am I making myself clear Nandini?”
(Nandini) “Yes Swara and I promise not to make such blunder and I am sorry about it.”
(Swara) “That’s ok Nandu, I just want you to know the seriousness of Ragu’s health. She has been through a lot and none of us can imagine so it would be better if we supported her am I right”
(Nandini) “Yes Swara, you are right and I would never want to hurt her, I am sorry. Can I also come with you on Sunday?”
(Swara) “No baby sis, you can’t because mom also needs someone and who knows if mom needs help, so it is better if you stay with mom.”
(Nandini) “Ok Swara as you say.”
Both of them went to sleep and Swara wrote her thoughts in the diary and slept off. Sanskar on the other hand had fun time with his family. Finally Uttara and Rajat decided to get married after the end of his semester that was in about two months. Rajat and Uttara wanted to have a simple wedding so they decided to have wedding in Indian style and a reception. The decision was taken and they had to also select the best event management companies to handle their wedding. Sanskar had to take part in this as well as his studies plus the music competition. He had to work extra hard to achieve his goal. Writing all this in his diary, he also dozed off.
Next day Swara made sure to carry her research work on Asian Financial Crisis as they had to start the project on. She was sure they would complete the project in week’s time because almost 80 percent of her work was done.
At University
The classes were running smoothly and the day was going great, in all the classes they had to sit in pair that was decided by Mr.DP. So Kavita was super pissed as both her friends were sitting with the girls she hated the most. Mostly she hated was Swara and no one else, Khushi only a little because she was Swara’s friend.
During DP’s class
(DP) “So how are your researches going on the topics given? I have small announcement to be made, our university would be represented by four teams in total. Two from your batch and Two from your senior batch, but if I hate any of your topics or presentations, I would not select anyone. So guys better buckle up and start working on your presentation. Any doubts you can get it clarified as I am here for the next one hour. So guys get ready and start your work.”
All started discussing about projects,
At Swasan’s side
(Swara) “Sanskar, these are my notes for our presentation. I had summarized it earlier today and now you can go through the same and see the matter that needs to be typed for the presentation. I again apologize to you Sanskar that I am making you type all the work because I do not have a laptop or a PC.”
Sanskar did not reply anything and he was just glaring at the papers that Swara had given and after a silence of fifteen minutes, Sanskar spoke
(Sanskar) “You are a crazy woman, I swear to God. You have completed almost 80 percent of our project. I just have to compile and put it in a presentation format and we just have to give future analysis based on past study and that is going to be a piece of cake. So just chill buddy”
(Swara) “Ok”
They both started discussing her notes and Sanskar had made it a point to understand the topic in death and Swara made sure that he had clear idea, when in doubt they accessed the net and clarified. They were working great as a team.
In the side of Sashi (Sahil and Khushi),
They were also working great as a team. Sahil was helping Khushi a lot. As it was their first day as partners, they didn’t find it difficult to bond and they discussed the topic with ease. They had made a broad framework on what they are going to and the class had come to an end. It was decided that after university timings, they would meet near a café and discuss their project further. Khushi was quite satisfied and also happy that Sahil was ready to help her.
When it came to Kavita, Kavita was hell jealous of Swara as she was sitting closed to Sanskar and he was looking at Swara with AWE. She hated the fact that Sanskar never noticed her the way she expected from him. She wanted Sanskar’s full attention only on her and no one else. She wanted to destroy Swara and she wanted to make sure that
Swara would be far gone from his life. She now certainly thought to manipulate Sujata and Uttara as they were the only ladies who could help her in wooing Sanskar and no one else. She just waited for the right time to talk to them. As Uttara’s wedding with Rajat was fast approaching, she thought that she would execute her plan then.
(Uttara and Rajat = Uttjat)
Maheshwaris and the Kapoors are Business partners (that is Uttara and Rajat’s father’s company. They have named it as Karma Construction and Designing) and they are dealing with Construction of Building and Interior Designing. While Kapoors handled Construction part, Maheshwaris handled the Interior Designing part. So since their company offered TWO IN ONE Facility, many clients preferred their firm over any other firm and also because of the quality service that they provide.
In the Karma Office
Uttara and Rajat were engrossed in some kind of work,
(Uttara) “How are your designs coming up Rajat?
(Rajat) “It’s coming out good. The team is finalizing few more designs and I am giving last minute touches, so which ever would look good, we would present the same. I know you would need my designs so that you and your team can do the interior designs to be presented.”
(Uttara) “Nope I wouldn’t want your designs as you guys have given my team the basic dimensions and idea. So even our designs are almost ready. In the evening we can have a team meeting and match all the designs and just hope that the Malhotras like it. If we get this contract, then we would be famous in no time.
(Rajat) “That is true Uttara. Just keeping fingers crossed, hope the luck is on our side.”
(Uttara) “Let’s hope for the best. We still have a week’s time and I know we both would crack it Rajat.”
(Rajat) “Hmmm. Hopefully we will kill the presentation because even the Mathews and Samsons are bidding for this project”
(Uttara) “We have outshined them many times Rajat, we will do it this time too as we are together and no one can stop us from getting what we want.”
(Rajat) “Let’s get back to work if we have to be ready for today’s team meeting”
Both of them got engrossed in their work again. In the evening, Along with RP and Raj (rajat’s father), they all discussed and finalized the designs and the changes that they had to keep it ready for by week. They were quite happy and contended with their work. They were just waiting for next Friday when they were about to present the papers. Uttjat hugged each other after the meeting and they decided to start discussing on how they would present in front of the Malhotras from tomorrow onwards.
