At Maheshwari mansion
Every one gathered for dinner in the hall. Siya was clinging to Sanskar, didn’t left him for a second the moment he came. She told him each and everything happened with her from school to home in his absence and Sanskar was listening to all her talks very attentively as if someone was reporting him about business, laughing in between on the silly ones. He pulled chair for her to sit at dining table and sat next to her. He looked at her mother who was busy in instructing servants to put dishes on table properly.
Sanskar: Mom, why are you doing all this? Where is Kaushalya kaki?
Annapurna: (while checking food) she is not well so I gave her a day off.
Sanskar: (worriedly) what happened?
Annapurna: she was feeling weak…. I think it is due to viral fever…in this weather it is very common.
Sanskar: (softly) let me know if she needs a doctor… I will call Khurana uncle.
Annapurna nodded with a smile. Sanskar and Annapurna were busy in talking to each other when an exciting voice caught their attention “hey bhai, you came back”. Sanskar looked at him, he was standing on the stairs with his charming smile. “Laksh! When did you come back from office” Sanskar asked.
“Laksh Maheshwari”, younger brother of Sanskar. A jolly person, sweetheart of the house. He loves and adores Sanskar a lot. He was the second kid of the house… everybody thought that after getting married he will change but nothing can change him. No doubt when it comes to business, he was a mature and responsible person. But he loves to live a carefree life like a kid.
Laksh: (came up to Sanskar and hugged him) how was the meeting bhai?
Sanskar: (hugging him back) fruitful as expected.
Laksh: (little surprise) So, they agreed to sell the land to us.
Sanskar: (proudly) off course my dear…. They agreed.
Laksh: (curios) how you persuade them? They were so reluctant.
Sanskar: (smirks) well I have my own ways… you know me… no one says no to Sanskar Maheshwari.
Laksh shook his head and bowed his head in front of him. Siya looked at him and did the same while giggling. Everyone laughed looking at her.
Annapurna: (in stern voice) you two please keep aside your business from dining table.
They smiled at her and nodded. Annapurna looked at Laksh and asked “Where is Ragini, Laksh?”
Laksh: mom she is not feeling well, so I asked her to take rest.
Annapurna: (worriedly) what happened to her? And why didn’t you tell me before?
Laksh: mom… nothing is serious, she is just having a little head ache. And she didn’t want you to get panic that’s why she asked me not to tell you.
Sanskar: (smiled at his brother) mom look… your son is becoming an obedient husband day by day.
Laksh: (irritated) don’t fill mom’s ears against me bhai.
Sanskar and Annapurna smiled at him. Annapurna served the dinner to them… Sanskar looked up to stairs and asked “mom where is chachaji and chahi?”
Annapurna: Ram and Sujata went for a wedding function of their friend’s daughter. They will come late.
Siya: (happily) wow! Choti dadi is not at home, today I can have my Diner in peace.
Annapurna: (raising a brow) Siya…. Don’t talk like this… she is your elder and you should respect her.
Siya: (pouting) she always scolds me for leaving food and not eating properly… (looking at Sanskar innocently) you know dad because of her fear every day I have to over eat. And I am becoming fat day by day.
Sanskar smiled at her while Annapurna shook her head in disbelieve.
Laksh: (playfully) Siya… who told you that you are fat? You know what you are cute and chubby. I am sure you must be the cutest kid of your class.
Siya: (innocently) I am not the cutest kid of my class…(everybody looked at her) chahu I am the cutest kid of my school. One of my teacher complemented me… what did you say dad is she really think so?
Sanskar: (looking at her lovingly) for me you are the cutest kid of the world. Now finish all your food.
After dinner they moved to the living area. Laksh and Sanskar discussed about some projects. Sanskar looked at Siya who was sitting on his lap, hugging him tight. He caressed her hair.
Sanskar: (looking at Laksh and his mother) well I forgot to tell you… I appointed a governess for Siya. She is coming here next week, she will stay with us as she is from Indore.
Hearing about the governess Siya asked in excitement “she will stay with us dad?” wow that will be fun.
Sanskar: (in little strict tone) Siya she will be here to teach you not to play with you. And don’t do your stupid pranks with her. This time I don’t want her to run away from here like others.
Siya: (innocently) Dad… it wasn’t my fault. They were not good at their work. So, afraid of your scolding they ran away.
Sanskar gave a stern look to her and said “Siyaaa… promise me that you will behave nicely with her”. She shook her head in agreement.
Annapurna: beta… it would be better if you have appointed someone in local so she can daily come here for Siya. What if the women you are talking about do not mingle well with the people over here, she may feel uncomfortable and same goes with us.
Sanskar: (in calm tone) mom… Mr. Das has suggested her name to me as I asked him to look for a governess for Siya. And I trust him a lot. He is a responsible and an honest person. And if he has suggested her she must be worthy of it. So, don’t worry she will get use to of this place and people.
Laksh: (laughs a little) so we are going to have a guest here for few days.
Both Annapurna and Sanskar looked at him confusingly. “She is not guest of few days, she will work here till we need her” Sanskar said.
Laksh: (smirks) do you really think bhai she is going to stay here for long. I am sure she will also run away in few days like others. Actually I lost the count how many tutors and governesses you have appointed for Siya but all failed. Remember what she did with the last governess…. She stuck chewing gum in her hairs and because of that she had to cut her hairs. Believe it or not bhai but sometimes your daughter becomes a real monster.
Sanskar looked at Siya who has slept now, keeping her head on his chest. He can hear her weak snores. He smiled looking at her and caressed her cheeks.
Sanskar: (looking at Laksh) always hope for the best… who knows this new governess may change this monster (looked at Siya).
Laksh: (smiles) well then she must be a super women.
The trio smiled at it and then went to their respective rooms. Sanskar took Siya to her room and carefully placed her on the bed so her sleep didn’t get disturbed. He kissed her forehead and covered her from the blanket and left for his room.

Shekhar’s house
Finally the day had come, when Swara had to leave her house. She was busy in her packing, Sharmishtha was helping her, keeping her all the necessary stuffs in bags neatly. Sharmishtha was doing her packing for last two days and Swara was busier in unpacking the unnecessary stuffs her mother had kept that resulted into a humongous stuff for her. She being a typical mother kept everything for her daughter from a safety pin to a matchstick box, every single thing. Swara tried to tell her that “ma I am not shifting to another planet, I will get all these things there also. Beside if I need anything I can buy it from there” but she was so adamant. They spend much time in arguing than packing. After much haggling with her mother she still end up with four big suitcase along with a sky bag which is full of her books only. Done with packing she looked at the clock on the wall of her room. It’s showing 12:45 pm…. She had only about 2 hours left.
Sharmishtha: (looking at swara) Shona… want to have coffee?
Swara: (smiled) off course ma but I will make my special coffee for both of us, you just take rest.
Sharmishtha smiled at her while hiding her tears. They came to the hall and Swara moved towards kitchen to make coffee. Soon she brought two cups of coffee in the hall.
Swara: (passing a cup to her mother) special coffee for my special mother.
Swara was waiting for her reviews as Sharmishtha sipped it but for Swara’s surprise she kept quite.
Swara: (anxiously) ma you didn’t like it?
Sharmishtha: (sad smile) I do my dear….. You can never go wrong with your special coffee. I was just thinking that how long I have to wait to have this coffee again.
Swara looked at her emotionally and gave a side hug to her.
Swara: (softly) Ma I will be here in Bhopal, will come to see you and Ashu often. And whenever you feel like having coffee just give me a call I will be at your service madam (smiled saying all this).
They both laugh while holding each other for some time. Then Sharmishtha asked her to give a last check to her luggage if she had everything or not. Quickly done with her checking she started helping Sharmishtha in kitchen.
Sharmishtha: (worriedly) Shona….where is Ashu? Is he fine or not?
Swara: Ma… actually he was very sad so just to divert his mind and to cheer him up I called his friends here… they forcefully taken him to the nearby park to play football.
Sharmishtha: (sadly) oh… my poor kid. How will I manage him without you?
Swara: don’t worry Ma… he will be normal within few days.
Soon after preparing lunch Sharmishtha asked Swara to have a little nap as she has to do a long journey after some time. She was reluctant at first as she wanted to spend her remaining time with her mother but Sharmishtha insisted her so she decided to have a last peaceful sleep at her house before leaving, thinking that don’t know when she will get to sleep on her bed again.
