Next morning, Swara’s room
Entire night she was cursing herself for all her deeds but she has nothing to do except repentance…. She wanted to run to him and bowed down in front of him but couldn’t muster the courage to face him….
Swara’s POV
I have ruined everything with my own hands. He always tried to make me realize his love but I was so blinded by my own illusions that I never trusted him. Instead swayed by his employee’s talks I accused him for the mistakes he never did, I trusted unknown people instead of him….. He was right, I am not worthy of his love…. the man who loved me most I insulted his feelings every time, he must be hating me now or might be pledged not to see me again …… dad says right, we should be careful about our words, don’t know when
we have to eat them….. I left no chance for forgiveness even….

After few more days…..
It’s more than 2 weeks to their last confrontation, after that incident they didn’t see each other…. Not even for once…. He tried to stay away from home as much as possible, and engulfed in his work more…. Rest of the time he spends with Siya, in his room…. He didn’t want to take the risk of meeting her in Siya’s room…. Often in between their talks Siya brings the topic of her Shona di, mentioning about now-a-days she is not well, she talks so less and not even plays with her like earlier….. Sanskar diverts the topic every time his
princess talks about her but from inside he was worried…. Sanskar was amazed how life has changed for him but he was trying hard to bring his derailed life back on track…..
No matter how many plans you make or how much in control you think your life is but it always surprises you with bizarre twist and turns…
On other hand, Swara was guilty for her words, and after Laksh revelation about Sanskar’s past, she was ashamed of herself…. Although she was ready to get punished for the crime she has committed but didn’t have the courage to ask for it, she has messed up everything by her own hands… every night she decides to confront him next day but day ends with nothing but only dismay for her….

Morning, Swara’s room
She was staring the morning sun with hopeful eyes, perhaps it would bring sunshine back in her life….. her phone rang and she moved to pick it….
Swara: (answering the call) hey Ma, good morning….
Sharmishtha: good morning Shona, how are you?
Swara: I am fine….
Sharmishtha: but you are not sounding fine…. Shona I have been asking you since days, why don’t you tell me what happened between you and Sanskar…. I know there is something, even Annapurna ji told me that everything is not well between you two but she didn’t divulge more…. So will you please tell your mother…..
Swara took a sufficient pause, her throat chocked as tears brimmed in her eyes, she gulped down her pain and spoke….
Swara: (heavy voice) Ma, I hurt him very badly…
As she finished, the tears she was holding back flooded out and she broke down, Sharmishtha was shocked to hear her cries….
Sharmishtha: (comforting voice) Shona!!! Stop crying like this…. you are my Strong daughter, compose yourself and tell me everything….
Swara composed herself and narrated everything to her mother from the beginning, from where it all started….. Sharmishtha was listening to her patiently, smiling sometimes over hearing her stupid dilemma’s…..
Swara: (nervous) what should I do Ma?
Sharmishtha: (calmly) just go and say sorry to him…
Swara: Ma, I have thought of it thousand times but it’s not that easy…
Sharmishtha: apologies are never easy my dear, you need courage to accept your mistake….
Swara: and if he reject my apology and wouldn’t ready to forgive me, then?
Sharmishtha: why you are being so negative? He loves you, Shona….. And let me tell you one secret, woman knows the man she loves like sailor knows the open sea…. So, you know him very well…. now tell me will he forgive you or not?
Swara was silent, thinking about her mother’s words…. Suddenly her face lit up, a spark of hope flashed in her eyes….
Swara: (faint smile) Thank you Ma, I love you….
Sharmishtha: (laughs) love you too beta, and I am happy for you….
Swara smiles, her mother could imagine the blush of her face by her silence……. She was determined now to get his forgiveness and to correct everything she messed up….

Evening, Office, Laksh’s cabin
He was discussing some important details of a project with the team leader working on it…. Their conversation halted by a call on Laksh’s phone, his lips curved into a smile as he read the caller name, excusing himself he asked the person to leave….
“Hey Swara, how you called me?” he said cheerfully answering the call
Swara: (hesitantly) actually I want to ask when you will be back home?
Laksh: (playfully) Me or Bhai?
Swara: (nervously) Both….
He smiled on her reply….
Laksh: Swara, I am so sorry but bhai can’t come home…
Swara: (shocked) why??
Laksh: he just now left for Mumbai for a week…..
His words made her numb, she was broken and hopeless again….
Laksh: Swaraaa……are you there?
Swara: (coming to senses) yeah, ok bye talk to you later…
He smiled over her reaction….. “Swara this is your punishment for making my brother suffer” he murmured playfully

Night, Swara’s room
He stepped inside her room, she was sitting on the bed with her legs folded close to her chest and head bent on it…. to grab her attention he knocked the door, she looked up, her eyes were red and swollen, seems like she had been crying since hours…. She was shocked to see him there, a small ray of hope crossed her face…. But he was displeased to see her plight, on that moment all he wanted to take her in his embrace to comfort her, to support her but unfortunately he couldn’t…. they were in front of each other after days or perhaps ages as they felt it…. He stared her for few seconds…..
Sanskar: (averting his gaze from her) I am sorry to disturb you, I just came here to give you this….
He placed an envelope near her, she questionably looked at him…..
Swara: what is this?
Sanskar: (cold voice) this is your relieving letter…. Now you are not bound to stay here, you can leave tomorrow…. Siya’s new governess is ready to join from next week…..
