“Swara I want you in my life, forever…… will you marry me?” he said with his eyes fixed on her
The box she was holding fell down from her shaking hands, with her mouth open, she blinked her eyes to confirm it wasn’t a dream….. she tossed down her bewilderment while staring him in disbelief, it was an absolute shock for her, she was numb…. whereas Sanskar was impatiently waiting for her reply, staring her with hopeful eyes… though he tried to figure out her emotions but her face was blank, devoid of emotions…. He decided to make this little lighter….
“Swa..….” before he could say anything she ran from there leaving him alone, more baffled than ever…..

Night, Swara’s room
She was sitting on the bed with her head laid back on the bed post, eyes closed…. was still in the shock, couldn’t able to believe what she heard was true or an illusion…. The storm of emotions was brewing inside her….
Swara’s POV
He wants to marry me, he needs me in his life…. and I was a fool to expect him to love me. Now I got everything, his promise to Siya, his conversation with Laksh in the lawn…. He doesn’t love me, all he is doing just to keep me with him for Siya’s sake and in return he decided to fix everything in my life, a relationship of mutual benefit that’s it …all his concern, care that was just because he felt duty bound…. The only emotions he has for me is sympathy not more than that and I was such a fool to thought it to be his love…. From the beginning is everything planned? Did he orchestrate everything to make me accept his proposal? And I was so dumb to live in a self created fantasy land all these days…. Why he did this to me? I trusted him, why he played with my feelings? The closeness we had, the kisses we shared all were an absolute lie…. He felt nothing for me not for once? The person I ever loved in my life turned out to be a trader of emotions….. Why God? Why me? Did I ask you for his love? Never have I anticipated him to love me back, I was happy with my own feelings…. Delusional but true. Mr. Maheshwari the respect you had in my eyes for yourself vanished today….. I hate myself for loving you.

Night, Sanskar’s room
He was staring the sky standing at balcony with confound eyes. All the efforts he had put in turned out futile…. This is not what he has expected the day to be….
Sanskar’s POV
How could she run away leaving me in the middle? Weren’t my words impressive enough? The way she falls in my arms when heartbroken, her shyness every time I am close to her, the way she reciprocated to the kisses we shared…. they all couldn’t be just coincident or my mere illusion. Then why didn’t she reply? At least she should have said something either a Yes or no, then I wouldn’t be this restless….. God! Swara, why you always confuse me? I thought today I will end this game of hide & seek once and for all between us but became more complicated….. Swara I really love you, please don’t do anything which will break my heart….. you are a first girl I ever loved, it took me lot of courage to confess it to myself and then to you…. God! What I do? I will go crazy…..

Morning, Sanskar’s room
It was late than usual, he was still sleeping as last night he couldn’t able to sleep…. The sun was shining bright in his balcony, the sparkling rays falling on his face disturbed his sleep……… with half open eyes, he raised his hand in search of his mobile…. It was 9:00 am… he saw some late night messages of Laksh, asking about his and Swara’s confrontation… ignoring his pings, he moved out of the bed when someone knocked the door…
“Good morning bhai” Laksh said as he stepped inside followed by Ragini…… Sanskar gave them a very cold look as he knew the reason behind their presence in his room…. Laksh stared him with a questionable look
Sanskar: (annoyed) what??
Laksh: do I need to tell you why we are here?
Sanskar: I know
Ragini: (concerned) Sanskar, what happened? You couldn’t able to do it?
Sanskar: (taking his clothes from the cupboard) I did it….
Laksh: (shocked) what? You did it!! Then what she said?
Sanskar: (after a pause) nothing….
Both Laksh and Ragini looked at each other with amusement and then again to him….
Ragini: what do you mean by nothing?
Sanskar was well aware that these two won’t leave until they dig out whole truth out of him…. He took a deep sigh and narrated everything to them, word by word….. after he finished Laksh looked at Ragini who was little astonished and then burst out laughing shocking his brother….
Sanskar: (irked) are you celebrating for my fiasco?
Laksh was laughing like a mad holding his stomach, Ragini glared him angrily but he remained unaffected…. Furious with his brother’s behavior Sanskar threw the water bottle placed on the table to hit him but missed it as Laksh bent down….
Laksh: (holding his laugh) you should have shown your guts in front of her instead of snapping at me
Ragini: (angrily) Laksh! Are you nuts, can’t you see how upset your brother is?
Laksh: what did you expect, I should pat his back….. How could you be such a fool bhai?
Sanskar: now what I did? I simply asked her to marry me…. what’s wrong in that?
Laksh: what’s wrong!! Don’t you know?
Sanskar: No, I don’t know…. Please you tell…
Laksh: bhai, you should have told her you love her….. it’s a step by step process, you can’t just jump on the climax…..
Ragini: Sanskar, he is right you have to tell her about your love first, she might get bemused with your sudden marriage proposal…..
Sanskar: it’s obvious I love her, that’s why I asked her for marriage….. Everyone needs an assurance more than anything that’s what we do dealing with our clients… and what could be more assuring than marriage for a girl
Laksh: (disbelieve) Bhai, please keep your business skills away from your love story otherwise you gonna ruin it…..
Ragini: ok stop these arguments now, it will take us to nowhere. Sanskar now think about the damage you have done…
Sanskar: (worried) what should I do now?
Laksh: (smirk) pray…
Sanskar: you know what lucky, if fratricide wouldn’t be a crime I would have killed you I swear….
Ragini: shut up you both…. Sanskar I think you should talk to her, make her understand what exactly you feel for her….. Confront her
Laksh: Ragini, you are wasting your time…. bhai k bus ka nai h (he can’t do it)… he will again mess up everything
Ragini: (annoyed) Lucky, for god sake he is your brother…. If you don’t want to help him just keep quiet
Laksh: what do you want me to do, confess on his behalf?
Sanskar: (shouted) lucky, get out my room right now…. I don’t need any of your help
Ragini dragged Laksh holding his hand towards the door “Sanskar don’t worry, she will understand” she said before walking out of his room with Laksh….

Morning, dining hall
All were there at dining table for breakfast but Sanskar’s eyes were anxiously searching for one person and to his dismay she wasn’t there….
Annapurna: (to Sharmishtha) where is Swara, Sharmishtha ji….
Sharmishtha: sleeping in her room, she is having headache so I asked her to take rest….
Annapurna: (concern) ohh, what about breakfast… she should have something, may be feel better…
Sharmishtha: I will give her milk or something…..
Bushra: she didn’t even have anything last night….. this girl is really careless
Sanjeet: why you all are bothered so much, she is not a kid anymore…. Can take care of herself…
All the mothers of the house looked offended with his words, they were not in agreement with him…. Ram came for Sanjeet’s rescue
Ram: Sanjeet ji, you are wasting your time….. They all are born with excessive concern disorder
All chuckled over Ram’s teasing words but away from all these banters, Sanskar was entangled in his own thoughts….
Sanskar: (to himself) Is she really not well or she is trying to avoid me? I have to talk to her at any cost…..

Afternoon, Maheshwari Mansion….
Bushra and Sanjeet were all set to leave for Indore….. though Sharmishtha and Ashwin were supposed to accompany them but on Swara’s strong insistence Sharmishtha agreed to stay for few more days along with Ashwin…..
Bushra: (embracing Swara) bacha, take care of yourself ok…… (turning to Ashwin) enjoy your break and come soon there, I will miss you
Ashwin: (hugging her) Miss you too aunty….
Annapurna: if you have waited till evening then could meet Sanskar and Laksh
Sanjeet: it’s ok, actually I have an important meeting with a client tonight so we have to leave
All walked towards the main entrance to bid them final bye….. Sanjeet was walking with Swara, he could sense something troubling her
Sanjeet: (staring her) princess when you are in dilemma, always listen to your heart…..what we see or hear is not true all the time…
Swara gave him a faint smile and nodded….

Late evening, Maheshwari Mansion
Swara was walking in the corridor when she collided with him….. balancing herself she looked up…. staring her for few minutes, he smiled but she was not interested at all….
Sanskar: (concern) are you ok?
To his surprise she gave him a displeased look, resentment and bitterness was clearly visible on her face….
Swara: (to herself) I am not going to fall for your words again….
Sanskar: (breaking her trance) Swara…. where are you lost?
Swara: (avoid looking at him) Nothing….
She tried to moved pass him but he didn’t let her….
Sanskar: wait Swara, I was coming to you only, want to talk to you…..
Swara: M sorry, I can’t…… Ashu is waiting for me downstairs, we are going for a walk
She walked out from there leaving him disappointed and upset……
