Recap: Sanskar shouts on Swara for taking Siya out….

Chapter 16

Night, Sanskar’s room

Sanskar’s POV
I was tossing on my bed, not able to sleep, thinking about the happenings of the day. Mom says right “anger always took my senses”. What to do now… I have done the damage. The day we met I could sense her disliking towards I knew I was not in her good books but am sure now she will going to hate me. What if she is thinking of leaving?…. No… no…. no, I can’t let her go. What will happen to Siya? I can’t deny she is good for her…. Perhaps best till now… moreover Siya likes her. I should say sorry to her but how? And a sorry would be enough to communicate all my feelings to her. I was guilty for making her cry but I can’t tell her how guilty I am. I am not good at words and expressing my feelings….. would she be convinced with my sorry? Will she forgive me? Oh God! Why I am bothered for her forgiveness…. I couldn’t think of this anymore otherwise my head will burst out….. whipping all these thought I slept with a hope of fixing everything again….

Night, Swara’s room

Swara’s POV

“Siya is not his daughter, he is not married”…. This truth was shocking for me. I forgot about all my sorrows and pain. I was just thinking about him…only him. The day I met him till now he was a puzzle for me…. it was difficult for me to understand him. His changing demeanor always confuses me. Honestly sometimes I thought he is suffering from split personality disorder… angel and devil at the same time. But knowing the truth I couldn’t deny he gained lot of respect in my eyes… surprisingly I was admiring him. How many men will be there in the world, who will take the responsibility of a child whose not his own and love him unconditionally…. May be this is the reason he didn’t marry otherwise he had everything to make a woman fall for him. No doubt he was a man with golden heart… I wish we could have good equation but the stark truth was that he didn’t like me and he proved it today. How can he talk like that me… it won’t be easy for me to forget all that. I can understand his concern towards Siya but at least he should have listened to me for once….. I will not forgive him so easily and why should I? What if he is an altruist, it doesn’t give him license to humiliate me.

Next morning, Sanskar’s room

“Dad!! Wake up” Siya was continuously shaking him. He opened his eyes hearing her voice and feeling her touch…
Sanskar: (sleepy eyes) Siya!! What are you doing here?
Siya: (excited) dad please get up and get ready…
Sanskar: (confused) for what?
Siya: we are going to Shona di’s room…
Sanskar: why??
Siya: (hitting her head in disappointment) you have to say sorry to her…. it wasn’t her fault, I forced her to take me out and we even asked dadi ma before leaving…. If you don’t believe you can ask dadi ma….
Sanskar: (guilty eyes) I know dear…. Mom told me
Siya: (sadly) you shouted on her very badly….
Sanskar: (caressing her cheek) I agree princess…. I did a mistake…. What can I do now?
Siya: (smile) simple just say sorry…..
He wished it would be that simple… she jumped to the side table and picked something from there, passing it to him
Siya: dad… give it to di… she will surely forgive you
Sanskar looked at her hand… she was holding a chocolate and a sorry card with a Pokémon picture on it……
Sanskar: (smile) Siya… this is not needed, I will say sorry
Siya: (innocently) no dad… we friends always do it when someone is angry and it really works…
Sanskar: (caressing her hair) just give me 10 minutes princess….
He moved towards washroom…….

Swara’s room

She was combing her wet hairs…. Hurriedly making herself ready…..

“Swara…. how you slept for so long today, didn’t even hear alarm” she was talking to herself
“Shona di, may I come in”
Swara: (smiles) you need not to ask permission dear…. Come in
But soon her smile vanished looking at the person accompanying Siya…. Siya dragged him a little and made him stand in front of her…. he was trying to read her eyes which were showing pain…. She was recalling his bitter words…
Siya: (looking at Sanskar) Shona di… dad wanted to say something to you
“Say dad” she whispered…
Sanskar: (clearing his throat) Miss Bose I am sorry for yesterday….. I shouldn’t have behaved like that….
“That’s it…. He has only this much to say…. When it comes to scolding me he keeps on going and now he is short of words” she thought giving a blank expression to him. He could sense she wasn’t convinced at all with his sorry. “What should I do now? Is she wants me to bow down and beg for her forgiveness” he thought.
Siya: (looking at Sanskar) Dad…. Give it to her (passing the chocolate and card)
Sanskar unwillingly took that and raised it to Swara… she was confused…. “What is this?” she asked taking that in her hand…
“Shona di this is for you, dad had brought this” Siya mentioned looking at Sanskar. Swara opened that card….

She recognized Siya’s handwriting. A smile appeared on her face. She moved closer to her…
Swara: (patting her cheek) thank you dear for this card….
Siya: (innocently blinking her eyes) No… I didn’t br…
She was interrupted by Sanskar “Siya…. Go and see chachu is ready for office or not”. She ran away from there. He purposely did that knowing that the things weren’t going the way he wanted it to be…. Swara was surprised with his behavior….
Sanskar: (softly) Miss Bose I am genuinely guilty for what I did and I am really sorry for that… I know I am not good at conveying my feelings… but hope you will understand…. Siya is really very special for me and thought of losing her makes me insane…. I agree I over reacted but I can’t help it when it comes to Siya…
Swara was staring him…. She could see the honesty in his eyes, the genuine guilt of hurting her… he was right Siya was special for him and now she also knew why….. Sanskar was trying to read her silence, he was confused whether she was convinced or not…..
Sanskar: (looking at her) won’t you say anything?
Swara: (smiles) It’s ok….
Sanskar: (noticing her smile) Thank you….
He sensed today in her eyes something was different for him…. The way she was looking at him was unusual…. He was confused, he was expecting her to hate him but it wasn’t hate at all…. Don’t know what to name it but he was sure it was something good…..

Dining table, breakfast time

Swara came with Siya all happy and cheerful like always… all were amused to see Swara all normal and happy…. Laksh who was sitting next to Sanskar whispered “Seems like someone learnt how to say sorry”. Sanskar gave him an angry glare…
Annapurna: (passing a plate to swara) this is your breakfast….
Swara: (shocked to see the amount of food in the plate) aunty I can’t have this much
Annapurna: (strict tone) you didn’t had anything since yesterday afternoon… now finish it all…
Swara knew she can’t argue with her anymore… it reminded Swara of her mother… she unwillingly started eating…
Siya: (pouting) Shona di now you will realize how Dadi ma and Choti dadi torture me every day….
All laughed looking at her…..
Siya: (remembering something) oh god! I forgot to tell…. Dad tomorrow is my PTA meeting
Sanskar: ok dear I will be there
Siya: (looking at Swara) dad my class teacher Mrs. Chaterjee… she wants to meet Shona di… so bring her with you….

All were little surprised hearing this where as Swara was little worried about the apprehensions of impending meet…

Sanskar: Ok… I will
