New days bring some new vision to life. The confusion swara was facing till yesterday was now nowhere to be seen. The first thought of the day she had brought a smile on her face she came out from the guest room she was given in Ragini’s house. The time she reached the dining room everyone was busy with breakfast. She joined them with a simple good morning and she silently continued. This was not her normal self early rising, not talking, not taking interest in their conversation. Laksh was the most affected one because she was not being irritated by anything he says and some time he directly mentioned her.
“Swara did you enjoy yesterday. I didn’t got time to talk to you”
Swara for once looked at his face then at the others on the table which made it clear that she was being observed from quite a long time.
“Jeej it was fun yesterday except for a thing…” she paused to look at everyone who were waiting for her to continue. Her hand was still playing with food in the plate. “I met some Mrs. Maheshwari yesterday who came with some aliance” she again paused but this time laksh ssw the need to lighten the mode where everybody was looking up at her for further details. Laksh gave a fake cuckle and continued
“From when did marriage proposals started affecting my dear SIL this seriously. You know Shona its not a compulsion for you to get married you are not being forced to it everybody here just wants you to stay happy and according to us marriage is something that will make your life beautiful like the way it worked for us” he passed a soothing smile to Ragini to which she also smile “Ragini is just being a little emotional in the matter because she loves and wants your happiness. One more thing if you are not interested in marriage now there is absolutely no problem I’ll be the first one to stand by you for sure but please dont be like this we like the jolly chirping shona not this serious one. I cant be happy without irritating you.” He said the last line to lighten the intense mode.
That man was right. This was the only thought that passed her mind the moment she started speaking.
“Jeej you know what you are the most irritating brother in the world but still i love you. And i know for a fact that you all want my happiness. I have just made a decision and i hope you all will stand by me.”her hand moving the spoon had stopped by now she moved forward on her elbows only looking and Laksh who was giving her an assuring smile.
“I’ve decided to give this proposal a chance if that lady is sure about it. And i know you’ll be doing the best for me so i dont fear anything else anymore. Secondly if you can give me i chance to say no i can also say a yes for you guys” these line shocked everyone only Laksh was smiling.
“We’ll go for the option but on the condition that the moment you feel uncomfortable or wrong about the decision I’ll be the first one to know it. I am again telling you swara its not a compulsion we all just want your happiness coz our happiness lies in yours” he got up from his chair moved a little forward and ruffled her hairs ahe just smiled without getting irritated. Everybody was still shocked with the senerio. Before leaving Laksh pinched shocked Ragini’s arm causing her to wince and swara to broke into fits of laughter. Things were better than expected.

The day went quite exciting for everybody except swara where ragini had already called sujata and they had decided to meet the next day not being sure about Swara’s leave. Everybody was preparing and swara was just lost in herself Laksh was worried about her but was confident at the same time. (There is no use dragging so hopping to the next day.)

Direct to the arrival of mishti ragini mrs sehgal and swara to the Maheshwari mansion.
The ladies entered the hall and swara was the last one Sujata welcomed everyone and the time she greeted swara, all the embarrassing memories of the party came rushing to her. However sujata was one of the warmest person she had met she was just being like her own mother subtracting dramatic side and adding grace and decency. Not that her mother was not graceful or decent but her over dramatic emotional nature was definitely a threat.
The ladies talk for sometime and swara was trying her best to portray herself as shy sensible girl but alas the lady had already seen the real Swara.
“You know what Ragini when i saw the list you have me I just wanted to help you but then i found that everything in the list matches my own son and i was looking for a bride for him too so this was the best that came to my mind. I just hope the kids like each other” sujata lovingly caressed Swara’s hairs who was sitting next to her ,”and swara you see i didn’t stopped with 20 points i matched all 50 of them” this surprised swara to which she blurted.
“Hows that possible i tried everything that was impossible for a single man.” She bit her tongue but by now everybody had started laughing leaving swara embarrassed once again.
Just then a voice interrupted them. A known voice
“Mom i am leaving for my friends place will be back by 4” she wanted to trace the path to the voice but by that time sujata had stood up and was blocking her.
“Sanskar beta my friends are here just come here and sit with us you can go afterwards” sujata was almost jumping on her place when the figure came closer.
“No problem Mom” she could see that tall figure bending giving his mother a forehead kiss which melted her heart. Plus 5 she said in her heart.
And and and the next moment sujata moved away from in between them and her eyes saw the face.
“You?” An involuntary word came out from her mouth grabbing everyone’s attention.
Again from other side
“You?” Sanskar was more than shocked they had a quick eye lock but sanskar was the first one to recover. “Laksh’s sister in law right?”
“You know Laksh” this time it was Ragini who popped up.
“Yes and you must be his wife right” to which she nodded “he is my college friend and even now i was going to his office”
“Thats great he’ll be coming to pick us up”
“You know Swara ” again addition to poor man’s embarrassment. His mother was just giving him questioning looks.
“Not really mom, we just met day before tommorow at the party” they continued talking for sometime now sujata was sitting next to sanskar suddenly she whispered something in his ear shocking him. He first looked at sujata then swara then sujata then swara and finally sujata again. He was shocked would be an understatement.
His trance was again broken by sujata
“Sanskar show her Aryan’s garden i am sure she’ll love it”
For a few moments he kept looking at the floor then stood up from his place and smile at swara “Sure why not” and he showed her the way to the garden.
Sanskar’s POV
Oh God why does this need to get more embarrassing. The stranger girl i had almost lectured on marriage a day before yesterday is here for my marriage. Ugh God is that some kind of revenge. I know aru would have told you to punish me but is this some stupid prank you are playing on me. Whatever it is there is no time to discuss that sanskar just think what you have to do. Mom should have at least given me a little margin but now right in the middle of nowhere i am bombed with a news.
“Well this is my younger brother’s garden right now he is abroad for his studies” sanskar tried to break the ice as they reached the front garden “will you mind me asking something?”
She nodded in a no. Such a shy girl she was showing herself to be.
“You were talking about my mum that day right?” He just smiled to himself where as by now she was flushing in embarrassment.
“I got the answer”
Silence prevailed again but this was the time to talk it was the decision for life saying a yes or no was a big deal.
Minutes passed without a word when again Sanskar took the lead.
“Thanks for listening my words. I know its awkward but it felt happy that you love your family this must relationships are no more genuine these days.”
“Hmmm” her only reply
“Lets just cut the crap and get straight to the topic. We are here to see if we find each other compatible for it or not. So whats your take on the issue?” Sanskar looked in her eyes with questions.
“I dont know. As you alreadyknow i came here and gave it a try just for my family’s sake. I have never seriously thought about my life partner. You see i am just wondering if I can get a person who reaches my ideal demands even those which i am unaware of. I know this looks so girly but I am looking for a guy who may not be perfect but perfect for me a partner i can rely on with whom there will be no formalities and here when i saw you my mind took a 360 turn and now i an standing no where at all you are right this is awkward. I cant explain. I even forgot the speech i prepared to say and i don’t even know what should I say now. I hope you understand” she looked at him with pleading eyes and he answered in an assuring smile.
“I guess we should question each other”
“That sounds better”
“Ok so introduction first”
“Well Its swara khanna age 22 completed my graduation a few months back now i am working as a journalist at abc and ….. i used to have a family of 4 but now as di is married its extended to 7. The sehgals are the sweetest humans on earth btw if call laksh an exception. What else do i need to say? I can’t cook much but I’ll surely like to cook for my husband if not regularly then often. Hmmmm…. i talk a little more than needed as you can see. What else? I think i am smart cool intelligent and s*xy” she winked at the end which made sanskar cuckle to himself. The girl was a thing.
“Good its enough for me and thats a yes from my side your turn” Sanskar stated with a blank expression while poor swara was just looking at him shocked.
“You are kidding right?” She gave a confused expression.
“No I am serious” he again stated the same way “i have heard what i wanted to so its ok from my side now its your turn ask me whatever you want.”
She just looked in air for sometime thinking.
“You can even make me do something its just upto you. Anything to make a decision. ” she was still just thinking when he called out the gardener.
“Kaka I’ll water the plants on my own you wanted a day off right have a day tommorow I’ll talk to dad on my own no problem” she looked at him and was lost in her own the man was something.
“Ok so Mr. Maheshwari i have a challenge for you. Your father is a businessman right so you must have some contacts in the business world.” He was about to interrupt but then just nodded “you must know SM the owner of Karma. Well i am quite inspired with the guy’s success. I just know that guy doesn’t give interviews and his father is some famous businessman but that man still worked for his own qidentity. His story may not be that inspiring but his hard work is. I dont even have any idea how old is that man or anything about him but i still feel so good reading about the man the few things available for him. You know what there is a lady at our office she 40 and she is just a die heart fan of him. She even says that if she gets h she’ll divorce her current husband” she cuckled with the end
“I see you are highly impressed by him” he put in all his efforts to suppress th smile on his lips. “But whats my task?”
“Aham you have to…. you have to convince him to give me an interview” she replied thinking.
“Alright what if i am successful? Whats my prize”
“If that really happens I’ll marry you what say?” She gave a challenging look while Sanskar was laughing inwards.
“Ok” her expressions changed to serious suspicious ones now. He is taking her very lightly but she was sure about SM at least that he won’t be easy and she will have an easier way out of the proposal.
Sanskar showed her each and every corner of the Mansion chanting his memories with his brother and parents. He had that contentment on his face which only a few could get in his life what else he needed in life and a silent answer was HER.
By the time they were back to the living room there was an addition to the audience.
“Sanskar!”
The person just jumped onto Sanskar with full might leaving swara shocked and sanskar laughing.
