CHAPTER 8

~REALIZED MY LOVE~
It was almost 6 months of the four living together. Swara and Laksh have developed a strong bond of friendship. Sanskar had a special place for Swara in his heart. Definitely it was not love but it was much higher than friendship. Ragini was harboring strong feelings for Sanskar. And Swara was not sure what feeling he was possessing and for whom. Both Swara and Sanskar were confused about their feelings. Swara enjoyed being with Sanskar. Many of the time they would discuss about several topics. At times they would have a contradictorily views but they always respected each other’s decision. Little did the two have realized how the passing days had brought them emotionally closer?

On the other hand Laksh believed that he was in love in Swara. He even thought that Swara was too in love with him. He decided to realize Swara of her feelings. It was Swara’s friendship which Laksh had mistook as love.
One day Swara and Laksh had to go back home early as they had no class but Ragini had some test and Sanskar had gone out with his friends. Swara and Laksh were alone at home so Laksh thought it as a golden opportunity to talk with Swara.
“Swara! What type of life partner do you want?” Laksh asked while she handed him the coffee mug.
“I have not thought about it yet”, Swara replied.
“But you have to think about it someday”, Laksh said while sipping in the coffee.
“That someday is not today”, Swara said sarcastically.
“Oh come on! Speak it up”, Laksh said looking at the sky.
“Why are you asking me about this? Can we change the topic?” Swara demanded.
But Laksh was not in a mood to change the topic.

“No”, Laksh replied firmly.
“Why do you want to know about my dream partner?” Swara questioned.
“Why are you dodging my question?” Laksh accused.
“I am no. Please change the topic”, Swara pleaded.

“So? Are you feeling shy to discuss about it?’ Laksh asked.
Swara hated being called as shy so she decided to speak her heart out.
“What do you want to know”? Swara asked.
“What type of partner do you want?” Laksh asked with a wide smile on his face.
“First you say about your dream girl. I will say after you”, Swara said teasing him.
“I want a bold, carefree girl who love to enjoy het life, she should be a party freak, she should not care a damn about the society, she should always follow her heart, when she smiles the world should sigh with a contentment, when she laughs, the world should laugh with her, when she shed tears, the world should comfort her. She should not be a woman who needs a man, she should be a woman whom all man needs. She should be a living example of beauty with brains. Her cherry lips should look like a frozen rose. Her chocolate brown eyes should have a ability to brighten anyone’s world.”, Laksh said running out of breath.

When he turned and looked at Swara, he saw that she was sleeping. He went to kitchen, brought one jug of water and splashed it on her.
“What the f**k! Laksh! I am not going to spare you now!”, Swara screamed.
Swara too brought one bottle of water and ran behind him to take revenge.
“Sorry! But now stop. Don’t spoil the hose or else Ragini will kill us. You know nah how tidy she is and she love cleanliness”, Laksh pleaded.
Swara stopped and took one step ahead to keep the water but she slipped due to the watery floor. She feels on the top of Laksh and the water fell on Laksh’s face. Swara laughed seeing his condition. Laksh was mesmerized seeing her laughing.

“Finally I took my revenge”, Swara said while getting up.
They both looked at each other and exchanged smile. There was something that held them together.
“I am too hungry”, Laksh said while buttoning the shirt he had just changed into.
“So? Are you expecting me to cook?” Swara said while raising her eyebrows.
“Of course. Is anyone present here apart from us?” Laksh said.
“I don’t know anything about cooking”, She said sarcastically.
“What?? Ragini is such an awesome cook and you are dumb?’ Laksh said teasing her.
“Shut up. As if you know everything”, Swara said.
“Yes! I can cook egg burji. Will you like to eat that? “Laksh asked while entering into the kitchen.
“I am so hungry that I can eat anything. Please make it quickly”, Swara pleaded.
“Egg bhurji is ready!”Laksh announced.
He served the egg bhurji in two plates.

“It’s yummy. It’s seriously good”, Swara said while licking her fingers.
Laksh raised his collar and said Thank you!
Laksh glanced at her while she was eating. He was pleased that she loved his cooking. There was something that made them better together. Was it friendship? Or was it love?
*****************************************
It is the dawn. The darkness at this time of the day is quite pleasant. She looks here and there. No one is there. It’s peaceful everywhere. The only sound that persists is the sound of the night. The dark sky is looking beautiful. The moon is glowing. She is walking in an isolated place. She is looking here and there in search of someone. She gets impatient with every passing second as she is unable to trace the one she is looking for. Her heart is pounding fast. She is breathing heavily.

“Where are you?”She speaks.
“ I am here!” a voice comes from behind.
She turns and sees her dream man coming out from darkness in to the light. Swara smiles seeing him. He is now visible.
“It’s him. It’s SANSKAR.Her SANSKAR.”
A part of her wants to rush to him. The other part is still trying to get hold of her physical situation. Swara runs to him to cover the distance between them. Sanskar wraps her in his arms. She had tightened her grip over him. She is listening to his heart beats which are for her. There is a sense of satisfaction on her face. She wants to live it to the fullest.
~ Knock Knock! Knock knock!~

Swara wakes up to the horrible sound on the door. She sits and looks here and there. She is in her room which means she was dreaming. She shakes her head and a smile comes on her face. She gets up and opens the door. She notices the clock. It’s 4:30AM.
“It’s early morning and dad always say that dreams which we see in early morning is always fulfilled. I had dreamed about my man, my love, my Sanskar. Finally I realized my love”, she mutters to herself.

Meanwhile, Sanskar’s friend forced him to drink. After drinking ot he seriously figured out what his heart wanted. He didn’t say it to anyone but alcohol had made it evident on his face. His heart was talking to him and he understood what it wanted. Constantly a girl’s image appeared before his eyes. Sanskar made up his mind to tell her about his feelings. He just wanted her to know about his feelings and expected nothing in return. Alcohol made him realize his love.
“ I have realized my love. I love you…”,before he could complete his sentence he dozed off.
