Episode 27:
The next day when Sanskar planned to propose Swara…
At afternoon,
Swara and Sahil went to nearby temple for doing shradh for Sumi-Shekar as it’s their death anniversary.
Ragini and Aadi went to the same temple while Ragini hid her face in moni.
“Rago maa, be here… I will come within five minutes after seeing the Pandit ji”Aadi made her sit in mandap and left after signing his securities to take care.
With the help of walking stick, Ragini stood and walked to see the temple.
A kid bumped into her while playing and Ragini started to fall.
“Rago maa…”Aadi mumbled and ran towards her.
A calm wind was blown in the place.
“Laksh…”Ragini mumbled as laksh hold her from falling. Her moni was hid her face while moving in air.
“Sahi..”Laksh mumbled unknowingly.
Aadi stopped by seeing Laksh .
“Ohh!Sorry…”Laksh said after coming out of thoughts and helped her to sit .
“Are you ok?”laksh asked while taking water bottle from his bag.
Ragini nodded and took water bottle from his hand as she needed to control herself.
“why I am feeling different ? why am I felling suddenly happy?”Laksh asked himself.
“Have you come here for darshan? Argh! I am asking foolishly naa. I am like this only. If you didn’t wait for some other one, can I help you to go for darshan?”Laksh asked.
Ragini smiled by forgetting all her pain while Aadi stared at Ragini happily that he was seeing a smile in her face after so many years.
“why am I feeling to do anything for this smile?”Laksh asked himself even after knowing he won’t get the answer.
Ragini nodded unknowingly.
Laksh hold her arms to help her to stand and supported her to walk further towards Kalimaa’s idol.
Flashback starts…
After 2 weeks of Sumi-Shekar’s death,
Laksh was sitting on the bed and checking some forms in his house while Ragini entered with a coffee cup.
“Laksh..!”Ragini called.
Laksh raised his head and saw Ragini who was still struggling to accept her parent’s death.
Laksh gave her a smile and took the coffee cup in his hand, put it on the table.
“Sit Sahi!”Laksh made her sit on the bed .
“Laksh! I want to speak something important”Ragini started .
“One minute Sahi! I will complete Swara’s engineering admission form… then, we will speak. Even I want to tell something”Laksh said and looked for ragini’s answer.
Ragini nodded her head .
After five minutes,
“Haan Sahi! What do you want to tell?”Laksh asked.
“it’s nothing Laksh ”Ragini said.
Laksh gave her a deep look and then smiled.
“ok Sahi! Then, see this. I put Mama’s and Athamaa’s insurance money in Sahil’s and Swara’s name as FD . It will help us in Swara’s marriage and Sahil’s master studies as we can take it anytime after three years with interest. Have this documents with you. I am going to get Swara’s signatures in this form”Laksh gave the files to Ragini and walked towards Swara’s house with form.
In Swara’s house,
“What is this form,Swara ka?”Sahil sat beside her.
“it’s college admission form, Sahil…”Swara replied while filling the form.
“Government Arts College…”Sahil spelled the name which was written at top of the form.
“But Swara ka, you wished to study engineering naa…”Sahil asked.
Swara put the pen down and looked at Sahil.
“Sahil, we have only Papa’s savings . it’s not that much . I don’t know how much we will get as a insurance. Rago ka is married. We shouldn’t disturb her. It won’t be good. Now, I am only for you and you are one only for me. we have to manage our lives like this, Sahil . Moreover, Arts is also good subject… tomorrow , I will get guardian signature from Rago ka”Swara said .
Sahil nodded.”haan Swara ka, we shouldn’t disturb them.”
Laksh stopped at the entrance itself by hearing this and returned back to his house .
“Laksh, I made roti and alu curry. I will call Swara and Sahil”Ragini said while busy in arranging the food.
Ragini turned as she didn’t get any reply from Laksh.
“Laksh!”Ragini touched Laksh’s shoulder who was lost in his thoughts.
“Haan Sahi!”Laksh muttered.
“what happened Laksh?”Ragini asked being concerned by seeing Laksh’s face.
“Sahi! Why can’t we stay at Mama’s house ?”Laksh asked.
Ragini looked at him confusingly, then nodded.
After Half an hour,
Ragini and Laksh entered Shekar’s house.
Swahil smiled by seeing them.
“Swara, can we stay here for some days?”Laksh asked while Swara gave a surprised expression.
“Mama… it’s your house. why are you asking like this suddenly?”Swara puzzled at Laksh’s behavior as Ragini.
“even I thought the same”Laksh mumbled which Ragini only can hear.
“wow! Rago ka, do you made Alu masala today?”Sahil asked while inhaling the smell.
“for you only. Come , we will eat. I am hungry…”Ragini said while caressing Sahil’s face.
After Dinner,
Laksh made them gathered in hall.
“Swara, since we are going to stay here, I think we should make somethings clear”Laksh said while putting some money in Swara’s hands.
“Mama, what is this?”Swara asked confusingly .
“It’s just rent and advance for this month, Swara. you don’t need to worry. We will pay every month correctly..”Laksh said calmly which made everyone shocked.
Swara looked at money with tears while Sahil was struggling to understand what happening.
“Laksh, what is all this?”Ragini asked angrily as she was not withstand the situation .
“why are you asking me , Sahi? Ask Swara. Since we are not belong to their family, how can we stay here in free? For them, I am just more than a stranger. Since, you married me, Sahi, We are just a relatives to them. she only made me realize that ”Laksh said in a hurt voice and went to rooftop without seeing anyone.
Ragini looked at Swara in disbelief while Swara looked down as she couldn’t face anyone.
“ I never thought …”Ragini said.
“Rago ka”Swara stepped forward . Ragini step backward and went to her room while suppressing her tears.
Sahil hold Swara hands.
“Talk with laksh, Swara ka. He was hurt so much.”Sahil said.
In Roof top,
Laksh was laying on the floor and staring the sky.
Swara walked towards him and sit next to him.
“ I never thought to hurt you , Mama. You are always my best friend… my best mama… my family. But , I don’t want to become a burden to you “Swara said.
Laksh sat by seeing tears in swara’s eyes and took her head in his lap.
“how can be our little Swara a burden to us?” Laksh asked while caressing her head.
“ I know about your financial status, Mama from Rago ka. It’s hard to manage your expenses. Then, how can we depend on you?” Swara asked.
“ just concentrate on your studies, Swara. it’s not your age to worry about these kind of things. I will take care of it …”Laksh said.
“Mama…”Swara hesitated.
“Don’t you promise me that you would be my sister also? if that words are true, let me do my work Swara”Laksh said with a determination.
“I can’t let my brother suffer because of my dreams… “Swara said in equal determined voice.
“Then, let me do one thing” Ragini interrupted while Sahil also came to rooftop along with her.
Ragini and Sahil sat beside Swara while Swalak looked at Ragini questioningly.
“If Swara score more than 85%, she will do engineering or else she will do arts”Ragini said.
“but…”Swara started while Ragini put her finger on Swara’s lips.
“no if and but” Ragini rolled her eyes while Swara smiled.
“Today the weather is not that much cold. Why can’t we stay here for some more time?”Ragini said further.
Everyone nodded their head.
Sahil put his head on Ragini’s lap while Ragini leaned on Laksh’s shoulders.
Soon, Swara and Sahil started to sleep in RagLak’s Lap and then Ragini draped them with blanket.
“ I never thought my purusha would get this much anger… but she is just a little girl Laksh ”Ragini mumbled in Laksh’s ears.
“it’s not anger Sahi. I just feel dejected on myself that I let her to think like that. But I shouldn’t make it in this way. She must be hurt so much because of my words …”Laksh said in guilt while caressing Swara’s hairs.
A long tears went out from Swara’s eyes by hearing Laksh words as she still didn’t sleep.
“no Laksh… she would be hurt that she hurt you unknowingly… but now everything finished smoothly…”Ragini said while looking at moon.
Laksh looked at Ragini for a minute.
Ragini asked him through her eyes. Laksh shook his head with a smile.
“when I lost everything … everyone whom I thought my family… when I lost my hope on life… you came into my life ,Sahi… you hold my hands and cared me as a friend, as a soulmate and show me an immense love as a wife . Because of you , I got my possessive friend and a loving sister… Thank you for loving me and giving me my little family , Sahi… I promise Athamaa, I will take care of our family (said in a low voice)”Laksh said while looking at stars and tears brimming in his eyes .
Ragini wiped his tears and looked at Laksh’s eyes.
“no Laksh…I would be thankful for getting you as my husband; who loves and cares his Sahi more than himself… I love you da my purusha”Ragini said which made laksh smile.
Ragini leaned on Laksh shoulder’s more and closed her eyes. Laksh looked at Ragini’s smiley face and started to sleep in the same position.
The next day,
Ragini got ready and went to her college.
In HOD cabin,
“May I come in Sir?”Ragini asked.
“Yes come in”Hod permitted.
“Sir, I want to …”Ragini started while Hod interrupted.
“even I want to speak with you , Ragini. Tell Laksh that his discontinuation is procedded further.”Hod said.
“Did laksh discontinue his studies?”Ragini asked in shock.
“You don’t know. Even I tried to stop him. he is brilliant student. even I said that I could help him with arranging scholarship. inform me if he change his decision in a week. After that, I cant hold his application”Hod said.
Ragini came out of Hod room with shocked face.
“why did Laksh discontinued his studies?”Ragini asked herself but being not able to get answer, she returned to her house.
At Shekar’s house,
“Arre Sahil, I told you to peel onion skin not onion itself”Swara mocked by seeing Sahil was wasting onion.
“ I am doing correct only. See, there is no onion skin”Sahil showed after peeling 3 layers in onion.
“It’s my mistake to ask your help”Swara said while tapping her head.
Laksh smiled by seeing them while entering the house.
“Swara, move I will cook today”Laksh said.
“Mama… I will cook. Rago ka went to college. She said that she will come in two hours. Already 1 and half hours left”Swara said.
“ I don’t want to admit in hospital, Swara. Sahil, I think one day we both will be admitted in hospital because of food poisoning”Laksh teased.
“ I think the same, Laksh. it’s our fate. No one can change it”Sahil replied.
Swara pouted and then smiled by seeing Ragini.
“See Rago ka. These both paired up and teasing about our cooking. Eventhough our cooking is horrible, how can they tell publically?”Swara asked which made Sahil laugh loudly and Laksh smiled broader.
Ragini looked at Laksh,”Swara, I am feeling head ache. I will help you after half an hour”Ragini said while giving a deep look at Laksh which was unnoticed by Swahil.
“Haan Rago ka… you are looking so tired”Swara said and Ragini went to her room.
After five minutes,
Laksh take a ginger tea in his hand.
“Swara and Sahil, wash these vegetables. I will come after making Sahi drink this tea”Laksh said.
“Hmmm…”Swara winked at Laksh .
In Ragini’s room,
Ragini threw her bag in frusturation and sat on her bed.
Laksh entered with coffee and closed the door.
“Drink this tea, you will feel better Sahi!”Laksh said .
Ragini took the tea from Laksh hands and put it on table.
“why did you do that, Laksh?”Ragini asked.
“what Sahi? What did I do wrong?”Laksh asked.
Ragini gave him a deep stare.
“why did you discontinue your studies?”Ragini asked directly.
“ohh! That … the same reason why you decided to discontinue your studies…”Laksh said calmly.
“Laksh… I decided that we don’t have enough money to carry my studies. Moreover, I and studies are opposite poles.”Ragini shrieked in a low tone.
Laksh gently cupped Ragini’s face.
“Don’t lie to me ,Sahi. if you are pointing your GPA, GPA never defines one talent,Sahi. I know how much you like studies . I know how much you passionate about studies .How could I let my Sahi sacrifice her dreams?”Laksh asked calmly.
“then, how could you think that I would let you to spoil your studies?.”Ragini said.
“in my case, I just studied for the case of making me busy Sahi. Just to run from my pain. now I don’t have any pain and I don’t need studies also. don’t give so much work to your little brain. Just concentrate on your studies . Haan, from next month, I will start to work as estate manager. For now, don’t tell any of these to Swara or Sahil. Already they are thinking over … ”Laksh said with a smile and side hugged ragini.
Ragini looked at him then leaned on Laksh’s shoulders.
“why are you not understanding Laksh?”Ragini asked.
“what do you want me to understand, Sahi?”Laksh asked.
“The society is not the same what you think Laksh. I can’t take if anyone taunts you by pointing difference in our studies. moreover…”Ragini stopped.
“ Society don’t have any importance in our life , Sahi. And do you think that one day I will feel insecurity because of these things…?”Laksh asked.
“ I have seen some of their lives, Laksh. because of small things, they got separated. I am scared, Laksh. I can’t live without you Laksh.”Ragini said by recalling the neighborhood incidents.
Laksh smiled at Ragini’s thought process as he couldn’t anger on her.
“Sahi, these differences will never become a issue in our life. yes, one moment I will leave your hand…”Laksh said while Ragini was looking at him shockingly.
“but that moment will be the last moment in my life…”Laksh said and went outside of the room.
Laksh came to hall and saw Swara who was smashing tomato in the name of cutting. A sighing smile was shown in his face.
Ragini stared at his sighing smile while his words ringed in her mind . a small chill went on her spine .
“you may be don’t know Laksh how much I love you. I will leave this world before you leave me Laksh. I am selfish in my love Laksh. I wont take if anyone point their finger against you at any situation and I won’t withstand your separation.”Ragini mumbled.
Laksh cooked at that day and gave a silent treatment to Ragini.
At night,
In Ragini’s room,
Laksh is laying on the bed while Ragini was laying next to him
“Laksh…”Ragini called Laksh but Laksh didn’t responded.
Ragini moved a bit near to Laksh while Laksh turned to face wall.
“See that wall itself. Even marry that wall…”Ragini murmured and Laksh hardly suppressed his smile.
A sadness occupied her heart as she never faced Laksh’s ignorance.
With droplets in her eyes, she started to turn while Laksh pulled her towards him and captivated her in his hug.
“ I will not speak with you. you didn’t talked with me for a whole day”Ragini complained like a kid after cuddling herself in Laksh’s embrace.
Laksh smiled broadly by seeing his wife’s cute antics.
“because I am so much anger on you for the mistake you did. How can you think like that?”Laksh asked while Ragini pressed her face against his hard chest.
“do you still anger on me?”Ragini asked.
“how can I keep anger by seeing my Sahi’s sadness?”Laksh asked.
“ I am not at all Sad. Moreover you even didn’t see my face”Ragini said while hiding her happiness.
Laksh hold her hand and put it on his left side of his chest.
“this will feel Sahi. Your happiness, sadness, the smile which you hid now , your each and every feeling , it will tell to me”Laksh said while looking at Ragini’s eyes.
Being emotional, Ragini hugged him tightly.
After two minutes,
They both break their hug and Ragini started at sealing to hide her blushing face.
“Purusha..”Ragini said.
“hmm..Sahi”Laksh said.
“why can’t you reconsider your decision,Purusha? we will manage…”Ragini said.
“Sahi! You know Swara have to join in college this year. After three years, Sahil will be ready for medical college… we have to save money for his studies also. even if I am completing engineering, I am going to work as estate manager. Now, I am going to do little bit earlier… ok, we will do one thing. I will complete engineering by evening colleges… ”Laksh said and hugged Ragini tighter.
Ragini nodded half heartedly.
Flashback ends…
At before Kalimaa’s idol,
RagLak hold their hands before.
“Maa… I don’t know why I am feeling happy by seeing this Lady’s smile even I don’t know her . bless her to smile always”Laksh prayed in his mind.
“Maa… Keep my Laksh always happy and please grant whatever he wishes”Ragini prayed.
“Maa… Today, my bhai is going to propose Swara. please make her accept his proposal. I know she has soft corner for him. please make everything good in his life. please give some happiness and peace in his life”Laksh continued his prayer.
Laksh turned and helped ragini to return to mandap.
“will anyone come to take you?”Laksh asked.
“haan…My choti will come soon…”Ragini said which made Laksh frozen .
“ I don’t know why I feel that I heard your voice before…”Laksh said openly.
“Laksh…”Sahil called Laksh surprisingly by seeing him in temple.
Laksh turned and smiled towards Sahil and Swara who just completed the pooja.
Ragini looked at her siblings.
“ I have to go… “Laksh said and Ragini nodded.
“come Sahil… I will drop you at home and then I will take swara to office…”Laksh said.
“but, I already put for a leave…”Swara said.
“ohh! Swara, that Sanskar bhai was eating my find about various files. Please help me to this pitiful soul and save me from my workaholic bhai”laksh said dramatically.
“ok ok come..”Swara said and the trie walked outside of temple.
Ragini put a step forward and raised her hands to stop them.
“Rago maa…”Aadi’s voice stopped her and she closed her eyes tightly to control her.
“Is everything ready for pooja?”Ragini asked in a dry tone.
“haan rago maa… come, I will take you …”Aadi hold her hand
“Just one or two days Rago maa… I will make you unite with Laksh jeju … just wait for a little time…”Aadi said to himself.
At pooja,
Sumi-Shekar smiled in photo while pandit ji spelled the mantra’s.
“Maa… Appa… from today, I am going to start my revenge… I will destroy their family for the all the sins they commited… Be with me maa.. Appa…”Ragini mumbled and looked at the fire .
At evening,
“Laksh… where are we going?”Swara asked the same question for the third time.
“Actually Swara, Sanskar bhai at meeting in hotel xxx after that there is a business get together which we have arranged. there were some accident in that way to hotel. So that route is blocked. It’s a bit long route…”Laksh said.
“you are saying this for the past 2 hours, laksh”Swara said in frusturation.
“it’s not my mistake. It’s traffic…”Laksh thanked to traffic for the first time in his life while Swara made faces.
After half an hour,
Swara and Laksh reached hotel while Laksh directly took her to room.
“Swara, wear this and come out. I will also change my dress in next room. Bhai messaged me that meeting was over already… get ready soon… for business get together”Laksh gave her a parcel and went out.
Swara changed herself in beautiful Red saree with matching ear rings and necklace.
Swara opened the door while Laksh was waiting outside .
“waah Swara! I thought you will take some another one hour…”Laksh wondered fakely.
Swara hit in his arms playfully.
“Come…we are getting late…”Swara said and walked towards the hall.
Laksh pushed Swara gently into the hall and closed the door.
Swara’s Pov
I scared by seeing darkness in the room.
“Laksh.. what is it?”I banged the door but there was no reply. I know Laksh won’t do anything which may harm me. I looked at the darkness of the room.
Suddenly, some medium level light fall on the walls. There was some portraits… it’s all mine…
In one, I was in garden of MM. the another one, I was eating golgappa… but who took those photo’s? moreover what’s happening here…
I heard very mild music in background… Suddenly, I felt some light on me while all the wall lights switched off…
I saw some other light where someone stands in a white suit. But who the hell is he?
I squeezed my eyes a little to get a clear vision.
It’s Sanskar… but what is he doing here with red rose in his hands?
He slowly walked towards me…
“Swara, I always want to say something… I couldn’t . so I will start from the first .Swara, do you remember our first meet in Train?”Sanskar asked me while I looked at him.
“ I just felt that journey would be long as a never ending journey at that time. I even wished I would be your husband really. I don’t know why I thought like that . I don’t know which made me fall for you… your smile… your antics… or your pure heart… I don’t know why your presence gives me an immense peace and solace for all my pains …I just want to hold your hands and walk in the path of our life. will you hold my hands to walk in our life as my wife…? ”Sanskar asked me and kneeled before me.
I don’t know what I am thinking… I looked at him numbly…
“I love you Swara…”he smiled and forwarded a red rose towards me…
I closed my eyes , I am feeling an unknown happiness. “ I love ….” I stopped. What am I going to say? Do I love him…? but how could it happen? We even don’t share more than a professional relationship.
“Rago ka…” I murmured unknowingly and closed my eyes. Rago ka and Laksh mama happily were smiling to each other.
I felt an unknown pain in my heart which even I am not able bear.
“how can I love Sanskar ? no… I saved Sahil after lot of struggling. I can’t lose him… I can’t lose him…” my heart yelled.
I opened my eyes and saw the surrounding which was now completely filled with lights.
“Sorry Sanskar. I can’t marry you …”I said without looking at him and started to ran from the place.
I came out of the hall and tears hid my eyes. I don’t know why I was feeling pain even after rejecting him.
“Swara…”Laksh stopped me and looked at me worriedly.
“Lak..sh… mama…take me to home…please…” I said to him and sat inside the car.
Laksh drove the car towards house.
I let my tears down from my eyes . though days were run, still the pain of losing my Rago ka , my family was still fresh… even I can’t hate Laksh because of whom my Rago ka died or I can’t express my love to Sanskar who can be threat to my Sahil’s life. is it really love?
“Swara…” he called me as we reached the house.
“Are you ok Swara?” he asked me concernedly and hold my face in his hands.
I saw the love and concern which I always got from him… my mama… my guide… my caretaker… My Rago ka’s Laksh….My Elder Brother…
I hugged him tightly where I can lost all my pain … where I can feel my Appa’s caring embrace…
“ I can’t take it more , Laksh…” I felt my voice getting low and lost all my energy. I closed my eyes even if don’t want to.
Sanskar’s POV
Everything went correct. I felt more happy when I saw love for me in her eyes…
“Sorry Sanskar. I can’t marry you …” she told. But it’s not my imagination. I clearly saw love in her eyes.
Before I think further, she started to run from the place.
“Swara…” I ran behind her but it seems she didn’t hear my voice.
She stopped by seeing Laksh at car parking and got into car.
Laksh drove towards house and I followed him in my car.
Laksh stopped his car and she came out.
“Swara.. Are you ok ,Swara?”Laksh called her name but not asusual. I saw some worriedness in his eyes as he wanted to ensure that she was ok . I stopped . I felt some care morethan a friend which he only used to my Uttu… even he showed the same possessiveness when my managers badmouthed Swara… I saw Swara who was fully devastated … I always saw her as confident …did she love anyone in her past? Do I rekindled her pain? I felt pain in my heart as I was the reason for her condition.
My Swara … she fallen unconscious in Laksh arms. I ran towards them and took Swara in his hands.
“Laksh, I am taking Swara to our room… Sahil will be scared if he see her in this condition… call Dr..” I stopped by seeing Dr.Rajat’s car.
I took my Swara in my hands and signed Dr.Rajat who was staring at us.
I ran towards my room with my Swara .
“is she ok?”Laksh asked worriedly by passing me.
“She is ok now, Laksh… she got mentally stressed. She will wake up tomorrow morning… I gave her injection to sleep…”Dr.Rajat said and looked at me.
“ I am taking Laksh with me for dressing his wound…” he indirectly told me that he wanted to counsel Laksh.
Laksh and Rajat went outside the room.
I sat beside her.
“ I am sorry Swara for making you remember your painful memories…” I said. I can’t see her in this state.
I started to walk … even I don’t know where I was heading… I remembered her each and every action when I am proposing her… how can I reduce her pain? why did my beloved people always suffer from pain which can broke them fully? Either laksh or Swara.. why? I felt some droplets falls on my body and I looked at Sky.
Moon shine brightly in the middle of raining clouds. The moon which makes my Laksh to be in pain as a worm in the sunlight
“Laku..” I murmured.
“Tomorrow is full moon day…” my Mind warned me and I checked in my mobile… Tomorrow is full moon day…
“Laksh…” I stopped and mumbled unknowingly… my struggle didn’t stopped with devan itself… how can I forget about it?
I felt a sudden pain in neck and felt losing control on my body.
Someone snatched my phone and broke at road… I can’t see his face …I turned and tried to defend myself… but he smacked me easily and shoved me into a car… I have to go atleast for my Laksh…
“Laksh…” my mind stopped at Laksh and darkness covered my eyes…
In MM,
At the same time…
“Laksh, why are you so worried about Swara? it seems like that she is not just a friend”Rajat asked while wrapping the bandage casually while Laksh kept mum.
“hmm.. it’s finished. But, you didn’t answer my question”rajat said.
“there is no need for you to think about her. Yes, she is not just my friend. But it’s nothing to do with our counseling sessions”Laksh said sternly and come out of Rajat room.
Rajat smiled with an unknown expression.
“you will come by yourself to me, Laksh… I am waiting for that day to complete my promise “Rajat murmured.
In a car,

Sanskar was laying on backside of the car being unconscious and tied up, while the driver received the call and stop the car.
“hello Uncle… how are you ?”Driver asked.
“ I am fine Aman… how is your journey?” Dp asked.
“ it’s nice uncle… when Sanskar see me tomorrow , he will be surprised.”Aman, who is ex PA of Sanskar , kidnapped Sanksar , said while looking at Sanskar through center mirror of the car.
“ok beta… take rest… tomorrow we will meet …”Dp said after a formal speech and cut the call.
