Hi! I know I’m posting after an extremely long time! So I’ll quickly give a recap of the previous chapter.
Recap: Kunal and Karan come to meet Meghna and Naina at Meghna’s Sangeet function and get caught by Nand Kishore who has been told that both of them are present by someone. Kunal gets to know about Karan’s disease.
Scene 1:Meghna and Naina’s room
Meghna was getting ready. She looked adorable! She was wearing a red lehenga with simple jewellery. She was waiting for the make up artist to arrive.
It was one of the most special days in her life. She was getting married to the love of her life! However she felt a flow of emotions and anxiety. Whenever she thought of leaving her home and starting a new life in a new house with new people, she felt butterflies in her stomach. She shivered at the thought of even leaving her home forever!
Sharda and Naina entered.
Naina: You’re looking so beautiful, Di!
Sharda: Kisi ki nazar na lage!
Meghna: Mumma! Cheeku!
She broke down crying. Naina ran to her.
Naina: Di! What happened? Did anyone say something? Tell me!
Meghna: Nahi, Cheeku! Mujhe dar lag raha hai! (No Cheeku! I am feeling scared!)
Sharda: Tumhe kya lagta hai, Gudiya? Teri shaadi karne se tu humse door chali jaayegi kya? (What do you think Meghna? Do you think that you will go away from us after your marriage?)
Meghna: Nahi, Mumma! Aisa kabhi nahi hone dungi mein!(No, Mumma! I will never let that happen)
Sharda: To phir? Kuch nahi badlega, Gudiya. Kuch bhi nahi! Tu hamesha humari Gudiya rahegi!(Then what? Nothing will change Gudiya. Nothing! You will always remain our Gudiya!)
Naina: Meri sundar didi, pyaari didi , Meghu didi! Aap ro kyu rahi ho?
Meghna: Mumma, Cheeku! Mein bahot confused hoon! Mein ye nahi keh rahi ki mein khush nahi hu. Mein bahot khush hoon. But, I feel excited, scared, anxious and sad. Mein kabhi bhi aap dono se alag nahi hona chahti!(Mumma, Cheeku! I am very confused! I am not saying that I am not happy. I am very happy.)
Sharda: Mein samajhti hu, Gudiya par ek na ek din har ladki ko apna ghar chodkar jaana padhega na? Kunal tumse bahot pyaar karta hai, vo tujhe hamesha khush rakhega! Tumhe apne sasural mein apne aap ke liye ek jagah banani padhegi!(I understand, Gudiya but one day or the other every girl will have to leave her house right? Kunal loves you a loy, he will always keep you happy! You will have to make a place for yourself in your sasural!)
Meghna: Haan, Mumma! I love you both so much!
Naina: Love you too, Di!
Sharda: That’s like my daughter! Love you! Once you are done with your makeup, tell us. We have to go to Dreams Banquets.
Sharda left.
Vishal entered.
Vishal: Mujhe to sab bhul gaye!
Meghna: Drama! Love you too!
Vishal: Next time tere aankhon mein aansu aaye to mein Kunal ko bahot maarunga!(The next time you cry, I will beat Kunal a lot!)
Naina: Bhaiya! Relax!
Vishal broke into tears.
Vishal: Kya relax? Meri Gudiya itni badi ho gayi ki vo mujhe chodkar chali jaayegi? (Did my Gudiya grow up so mhch that she will leave me and go?)
Meghna: Stop crying! Mein tumhare aankhon mein aansu nahi dekh sakti! I will meet you often!
Vishal: I hope you don’t forget me.
Meghna: Vishal!
Vishal hugged Meghna and Naina.
Vishal: I love both of you!
The make up artist arrived and Naina and Sharda left the room to supervise the preparations.
Scene 2: Karan and Kunal’s room
Kunal was ready in his cream coloured sherwani.
Karan entered.
Kunal: How do I look?
Karan: Dashing as always! Meghna Bhabhi dekhti reh jaayegi!
Kunal: Karan! Mujhe tujhse ek sawaal puchna hai. Promise karo ki tum honestly jawaab doge!( I want to ask you a question. Promise to give me an honest answer!)
Karan: I promise, Bhai.
Kunal: Kya mein Meghna ko khush rakh paaonga?(Will I be able to keep Meghna happy?)
Karan: Bhai! Are you serious? Meghna Bhabhi ko aapse zyaada khush koi nahi rakh sakta! Mein jaanta hoon aap kabhi Meghna Bhabhi ke aankhon mein aasu nahi aane doge! (No one other than you can keep Meghna Bhabhi so happy! I know that you won’t let tears come in Meghna Bhabhi’s eyes!)
Kunal: Thank you! Mujhe bahot dar lag raha hein, Karan. Kya mein iss rishte ko nibha paaunga? Will Meghna still love me after marriage?(I am feeling very scared, Karan. Will I be able to fulfill this relationship?)
Karan: Bhai, kuch nahi hoga. Aap dono world ke best jodi hein. Both of you will be very happy together. Aap ke liye Meghna Bhabhi ka pyaar kabhi kam nahi hoga!(Bhai, nothing will happen. Both of you are the best couple in the world. Meghna Bhabhi’s love for you will never decrease!)
Kunal: Tum, duniya ke sabse achhe bhai ho Karan! Kash mein ek achha bhai ban pata. Meine tumhara mazaak udhane ke alawa kuch bhi nahi kiya hai! I am sorry!(You’re the best brother in this world Karan! I wish I could become a better brother. I have done nothing other than making fun of you!)
Karan: Phir se shuru ho gaye aap! Aaj aapka shaadi hai. Ye sab kuch bhool jaao aur shaadi par focus karo. Aapka iss mein koi galti nahi hai!(You’ve started again! Today is your wedding. Forget all of this and focus on your wedding. There is no fault of yours in all of this!)
Kunal: Love you, Bhai!
Karan: Love you too!
Scene 3: Dreams Banquets
Meghna and Kunal had got married. Both of them had promised to be bound in love for ever and ever. Both the families were very happy and were celebrating. NK walked in.
NK: Ye shaadi nahi ho sakti!(This wedding cannot happen!)
Sharda: Samdhan sa! What happened?
NK: Sharda ji! How else should I react? You have arranged this cheap hall for Kunal’s marriage! Even my guests are complaining!)
Dadaji: Nand Kishore! Ye kaise badtameezi hai?(What type of manners are these?)
NK: Bapuji! This is the truth! Now either Meghna and Kunal will not get married or you will give us dowry!
Sharda: What type of dowry?
NK: Your younger daughter! I want you to get your younger daugter married to Karan!
Dadaji fainted.
Karan: Papa!
NK: Enough! I have made a decision! Now it is up to Sharda ji to decide!
NK walks out.
Fifteen minutes later
Meghna: I have made a decision! Naina will get married to Karan!
Sharda: And I agree with Meghna’s decision!
