Meghna and Naina were in Meghna and Kunals room.
Meghna was sat on the bed and Naina got the first aid box and aided Meghnas scratches on her arm.
Naina: Does it hurt?
Meghna smiled: No Chiku.
Naina had tears in her eyes: Di!
Meghna hugged her sister.
Meghna: I’m fine Chiku, luckily Kunal and Karan came. Even before that you know what your Di is capable of.
Naina smiled: I do.
Meghna: Then don’t worry about me.

Downstairs.
Dadaji: What happened tonight wasn’t right.
Nirmala: Not at all.
Dadaji: NK you should’ve done your research, that boy?
NK: He’s my best friends son. He’s a good kid.
Karan: Dad, you heard what happened.
NK: I did. What if she was lying.
They were all shocked.
Kunal: What are you saying Dad? You don’t trust Meghna.
NK was silent.
Kunal: Say something!
He shouted.

Naina and Meghna heard the shout and got out of the room and came down.
Naina stood next to Karan and Meghna went to Kunal.
Meghna: What’s going Kunal? Why are you shouting at Papa?
Kunal: He doesn’t believe us.
Naina: Kya?

Sandhya and Khyati also came down. While Arjun was still upstairs.
Meghna: Kunal I’m sure…
Karan: No Bhabi, he doesn’t take neither mine or Bhais word. After everything he doesn’t even trust your word Bhabi!
Kunal: What’s wrong with you?
Nirmala: Kunal, relax betaa.
Nirmala stood with her son.
Kunal: Why Mom?
NK: Nikhil wouldn’t do what you all said…
Kunal: You’re taking his words instead of your children’s?
Karan: Wouldn’t be the first time would it though Bhai?
Kunal scoffed: You’re right.
NK: Enough!
Khyati: Dad?
NK: This relationship should’ve gotten fixed today.
Kunal: Why?
Karan: What is so important about it?
Kunal: Is this marriage also getting you land? Is that what it’s about?!
NK: KUNAL!
NK slapped Kunals face.
Everyone was shocked by NKs behaviour.
Dadaji: Nand Kishore!
Nirmala: Why did you slap him?
Kunal looked at NK.
Kunal: He doesn’t have an answer, why would he?
Meghna held Kunals hand.
Meghna: Kunal please don’t…
NK: Out!
NK looked at Meghna: I want you out.
Naina and Karan walked to Meghna, Kunal and Nirmala.
Naina: Papa? What…
NK: This woman made me slap my son for the first time.
Karan: This isn’t Bhabis fault, you’re the one….
Meghna: Karan.
She looked at him signaling him not to say anything.
Meghna: I’ll go.
Sandhya: Meghna?
Meghna: If Papa wants me out then that’s fine.
Kunal: You’re not going alone.
Meghna looked up at Kunal.
Dadaji: No one is leaving.
Kunal: No Dadu, I can’t stay here. With my own father against his son and daughter-in-law.
Meghna: Kunal…
Kunal: Let’s go and pack our bags.
Kunal was holding Meghnas hand and walked upstairs.
Naina, Karan and Khyati followed them.
Sandhya and Nirmala were sat down, Nirmala broke down. Dadaji sat with his daughter-in-law.
Dadaji: Nirmala Bahu, don’t worry.
Nirmala: Bauji, they’re leaving?
Dadaji: Maybe it’ll be a good thing.
Sandhya: What did you mean Bauji?
Dadaji: Right now Kunal is angry, maybe some time away from…
He looked at NK.
Dadaji:… from all of this will keep him calm.
Nirmala: But leaving the house?
Dadaji: We all have our own ways.

Kunal rushed into his room holding Meghnas hand. He let go and got out a suitcase and opened his wardrobe and started packing things. Arjun was sat down taking care of the twins.
Arjjn: Kunal Bhai? What… Meghna Bhabi, what happened.
Naina, Karan and Khyati walked in.
Arjjn: What’s going on guys?
Khyati explained everything to Arjun while Meghna and Karan tried stopping Kunal.
Arjun: You can’t do this.
Khyati: You can’t leave us.
Kunal stopped packing and turned to everyone.
Kunal: Guys.
He sat down and Meghna sat beside him.
Kunal: This isn’t me causing a scene, this is about right or wrong. What happened today was wrong and what he’s supporting is the wrong and as long as it’s going to be that way I will stand up to him. He wanted Meghna to leave the house. Why? He couldn’t stand that she was telling the truth he didn’t want to hear. Meghna and I are leaving with the babies and we won’t come back.
Naina: Jeeju?
Kunal: I’m sorry Naina.
Arjuna: Where will you go?
Kunal: Far away.
Meghna: We’ll go home.
Kunal: I’ll call a taxi
Khyati: Why don’t you take your car?
Kunal: I’m not taking anything he gave.
Karan: I’ll call a taxi, you can pack.
Naina: I’ll help you guys pack.
They packed up and in the next 30 minutes everyone was downstairs. The abates were in their baskets.
Meghna hugged everyone.
Meghna: Arjun, take care okay? Concentrate on school.
Arjun: I will Bhabi, you take care of my niece and nephew okay?
Meghna smiled: I will.
Meghna went to Khyati and hugged her: I’m sorry Khyati!
Khyati: No Bhabi! You don’t need to apologise for anything.
Meghna: Take care.
Meghna hugged Sandhya: Masi Maa, I know I don’t need to ask you but please take care of everyone and yourself.
Sandhya: I will Meghna, you take care as well.
Meghna then hugged Nirmala: Maa?
Nirmala: Meghna, I don’t want you to leave.
Meghna: I know Maa, but I have to.
Nirmala: I’m going to check up on my grandchildren okay?
Meghna: What about your children?
Nirmala: I know you’ll be fine.
Finally Meghna hugged Dadaji: Dadu, please take care.
Dadaji: I will Badi Bahu. You and Kunal will come back soon, I will be waiting.
Meghna seemed the elders blessings. She went to touch NKs feet but he stepped back, but Meghna stepped forward and touched it.
Meghna: I wasn’t going to leave without your blessings Papa.
Kunal hugged everyone.
Naina and Karan were at the door.
Meghna hugged Naina: Chiku.
Naina was crying: Di.
Meghna: My strong and brave Chiku, you’ll take care of everyone won’t you?
Naina nodded: I try by best Di.
Kunal hugged Naina: Naina, I’m sorry for taking your Di away from you but I have to.
Naina: I understand Jeeju, you take care of Di, Kaira and Maahir okay.
Kunal: I will.
Karan was standing there.
Meghna: Won’t you give your Bhabi a hug Karan?
Karan had tears in his eyes and hugged Meghna.
Karan: Bhabi, please come back soon.
Meghna closed her eyes: I’ll try but for now please take care of yourself and Chiku.
Karan: I promise I will Bhabi.
Kunal hugged Karan: Karan, Bhai. I’ll miss you.
Karan chuckled: You’ll have to be back soon then so you won’t need to miss me.
Kunal: Bye Karan.
Karan: Bye.
Everyone apart from NK dropped them to the car.

Kunal was holding his mother as he walked to the car while Meghna was holding Dadaji. Karan and Arjun held the suitcases, Naina was holding Maahir and Khyati was holding Kaira. Sandhya was walking along with Kunal and Nirmala.

Kunal: Mom? Please don’t cry.
Nirmala: How Kunal? You’re leaving me.
Kunal wiped her tears away.
Kunal: Mom, please?
Nirmala smiled at her son and hugged him.
Nirmala: Come back soon.
Kunal held his mother.
Kunal (mind): I don’t think I’ll be back for a long time Mom, I’m sorry.
Meghna held Dadajis hand: We’ll be back soon.
Dadaji smiled with tears: You better Badi Bahu.
Karan couldn’t take that his Bhabi was leaving so he went to hug her again while crying.
Karan: I’m sorry Bhabi!
Meghna had tears in her eyes trying to not break down: No Karan! Don’t be sorry, continue being a good son, brother and husband okay?
Karan let go and nodded his head.
Naina hugged Kunal.
Naina: Jeeju! Please take care and always call okay? I wanna know what my two munchkins are up to.
She said with her eyes watering.
Kunal also teared up: Which two munchkins Naina? Me and Meghna?
Naina laughed: I’ll miss your jokes.
Kunal: I’ll miss you laughing at them, don’t worry your niece and nephew will be fine and I’ll facetime when I can.
They all exchanged hugs for the last time , Meghnas and Kunal got into the back of the taxi and then had the babies in their arms.
Naina stood holding Karan.
They waved bye and then watched the car go.
Everyone went in the house, Karan and Naina were still outside.
Karan fell to the floor: They’re gone.
Naina wiped the water off Karans face.
Naina: Karan, everything will be fine okay?
Karan: How?
Naina: I don’t know but we have to keep strong.
Karan: I can’t.
Naina cupped Karans face: I know you can, for me?
Karan smiled.
They both got up and walked into the house holding hands.
Everyone was sat on the sofa lifeless. NK was sitting alone with a straight face.
Karan clapped.
Everyone looked at him.
Karan slowly walked to his father.
Karan: Are you happy?
NK didn’t say anything.
Karan: This house had three Lakshmis , they brightened this house up. Mom, Bhabi and Naina. Now there are only 2 and the house has lost its wonderful bright light. Mom and Naina are still here keeping some light and happiness but you got rid of one. You must be happy.
Karan walked away and went to his room.
Naina went to Nirmala and Dadaji.
Naina: I’ll bring the Lakshmi back, me and Karan will bring them all back. I promise.
Nirmala held Naina: I hope you can Naina.
Dadaji: We believe in you Choti Bahu.
NK was frustrated and left the room.
Khyati: Dad!
NK stopped walking away.
Khyati stood up.
Khyati: I don’t understand why you wanted me to get married to that pig but I’m glad I’m not marrying him. Dad, what you did today was wrong and so until Kunal Bhai and Meghna Bhabi don’t come back home, I’m not getting married and I won’t let you choose who or what I get married to anymore.
NK: Khyati?
Khyati: That’s right Dad, Kunal Bhai left because he was standing up for the right reason and that’s what I’m doing. I can’t get married with them.
NK: Suit yourself.
Khyati was upset: That’s all Dad? I thought there’d be more but I guess I have to re-evaluate all the thoughts I had about you.
She went upstairs and NK went to the study.

Kunal and Meghna were still on their way to Boondi.
Kunal: Does Maa know we’re going there?
Meghna: I didn’t get the chance to call her.
Kunal: It’s okay, I’ll call.
Kunal pulled out his phone and called Sharda.
Sharda picked up.
Sharda: Kunal? Is everything okay? It’s a little late.
Kunal: Sorry Maa , were you sleeping?
Sharda: No betaa, what’s wrong?
Kunal: Maa, Meghna, the twins and I are on the way home.
Sharda: Home?
Kunal: To you.
Sharda: At this time?
Kunal: I’ll explain when we get there.
Sharda: Okay, I’ll be waiting.
Kunal: See you later Maa.
He hung up.
