Part 69:
Meghna, Naina and Arjun got home.
They saw NK and Nirmala with the babies.
NK: You guys are back?
Nirmala: You guys wash up, I’ll get your food ready.
Naina: Maa, we’ll do it.
Meghna: You have fun with your grandchildren.
Nirmala smiled: Okay.
Arjun and Naina headed upstairs to their rooms while Meghna headed to her room that was downstairs.
Naina saw Karan sitting down and marking some papers.
Naina: You look very stressed.
Karan looked up and smiled: Not stressed, just marking these music sheets.
Naina stood behind the chair and started massaging Karans head.
Karan: That feels good.
Naina smiled and continued.
Karan: You really have some magic in those hands.
Naina: Thank you very much.
Karan: Oh yeah, how did it go with Arohi?

Naina: Why don’t I freshen up and we can do downstairs to Di and Jeeju and talk about it?
Karan: That’s sounds good, I’ll have these marked by the time we get there.
Naina: Good.
Naina freshen up and had some food.
Karan came down and they both went to Kunal and Meghnas room.
Kunal: Hey guys.
Karan: The ladies need to tell us about what happened with Arohi.
Meghna and Naina explained to their husbands about what Arohi said.
Kunal: You guys should go today.
Meghna: You guys?
Karan: Today?
Naina: Jeeju?
Kunal: Yes you guys. I won’t be able to go. Yes today because there’s no time like the present , well 6 hours from now. And Jeeju?
Meghna: I’m not leaving you.
Naina: Yeah Jeeju, we’re not leaving you.
Karan: You can’t stay here by yourself.
Arjun: He won’t be alone, I’ll be here.
They turned to see Arjun standing at the door.
Meghna: Arjun.
Arjun walked over.
Arjun: Bhai is right, you guys should go today. The earlier you find the problem the earlier I get to be with Arohi.
Kunal: Do it for Arjun.
Meghna: Okay.
Naina: What do we do when we get there?

Kunal: Find out where Mr Rathore stays during the day, like what room and then fit this in there.
Kunal opened the first drawer of his beside drawers and took out a bag.
Karan: When did you stock up on hidden cameras?
Kunak: Since I became a sidekick.
Naina: Good thinking Jeeju.
Kunal: Thank you Naina.
Meghna: Well done Scooby, this way we get to see what Mr Rathore has been planning and saying.
Arjun: And we’ll be another step closer to stopping him.
Karan: So we’ll leave when everyone goes to bed.
Naina: Yep.
Meghna: I hope Mr Rathore will be out if the house when we go.
Arjun: He should be.

It was 11 pm Karan drove himself, Naina and Meghna to Rathore house.
Karan: Okay guys, we know what to do?
Naina: Yeah.
Meghna: I wonder how she’ll feel.
Naina: Don’t worry Di, we’ll be there to support her.
They got out of the car and went to the front door, Karan rang the bell.
Mrs Rathore opened the door.
(Mrs Rathore’s first name is Amrita)
Amrita: What are you guys doing here? I mean it’s good to see you but it’s very late.
Arohi: I called them Mom.
Amrita looked behind her to see Arohi make her way towards them.
Meghna: Namaste Auntie.
She took her blessings.
Naina: Namaste.
She also took her blessings.
Karan: Namaste.
He took her blessings.
Amrita: Come in children.
They walked in.

Arohi: Take a seat.
The five of them took a seat.
Amrita: So what brings you here?
Karan: Arohi told us about uncle.
Amrita: About?
Naina: Uncle not being himself.
Amrita: I see, well he isn’t home now.
Meghna: That’s why we came, we have something to share with you both.
The three of explained everything to Amrita and Arohi, they started with Sandhya then told them about Trishna and Nikhil.
The mother and daughter duo were left shocked.
Naina: We understand that this is a big shock but you have the right to know.
Karan: We thought if we told you this then maybe you’d be able to understand why uncle was acting like he was.
Amrita: I..I don’t know what to say.
Arohi: Why would Dad hide all of this from us?
Meghna: For your safety, uncle needs you both by his side.
Naina: That’s right, no one knows what is going on.
Karan: We’re here to help find some answers.
Meghna: Auntie, you heard about Kunals injury right?
Amrita: I did, Arohi told me. How is he?

Meghna smiled: He’s doing good.
Amrita: If there’s anything we can do then let me know.
Meghna: Actually I wanted to also let you know that Uncle had instructed someone to write an article about Kunal and his state.
Naina: It wasn’t a very nice article.
Amrita: Akshay told someone to do that?
Karan: Yes, the writer told us that Uncle contacted him and told him to write that article.
Arohi: Really?
Naina: Yes, is there any reason you know of to why uncle would do anything like that?
Amrita: I have no idea, I’m sorry.
Meghna: It’s okay.
Karan: Auntie, where does uncle spend his day?
Amrita: He usually stays in the store room upstairs, he doesn’t let either me or Arohi in.
Naina: Would you mind if we fitted a camera in there?
Meghna: That way we can find out what’s happening.
Amrita smiled: Of course I don’t mind, thank you for helping us.
Meghna: It’s the least we can do.
Arohi: I’ll show you guys where the room is.
Naina: Thank you Arohi.

Amrita: You guys go, I’ll got and get you something to drink.
Meghna: No Auntie, we’ll be leaving soon.
Amrita: Are you sure?
Naina: Yes Auntie.
Amrita: Okay, let’s go.
They all walked upstairs with Arohi leading them to the room.
Amrita: Make sure you don’t leave any trace.
Karan: I’ll try my best.
Karan slowly made his way and hid the camera.
Karan: Done.
Meghna: We should get going.
Naina: Yeah, let’s go.
They were making their way downstairs when they saw the front door open.
Arohi: You guys need to hide.
Karan, Naina and Meghna ran into a room.
Meghna: Was that Mr Rathore?

Arohi: Dad!
She shouted from the stairs so the three of them hiding could hear.

Karan: I guess it was.

Akshay: Arohi? What are doing up so late?
Amrita: She couldn’t sleep so she called me to make her some warm milk.
Akshay smiled: You can make me one as well.
Arohi smiled and went to her dad and hugged him.
Akshay: Let’s go and sit while your mother makes us some magic milk.
Amrita smiled.
Arohi: Let’s join her in the kitchen.
Akshay: Sure.
The three walked in the kitchen.

Naina: When do we leave?
Meghna: Let’s see if they’re still out there.
Karan and Naina looked out of the window and saw that they were gone.
Naina: The coast is clear.
Karan: Let’s get moving.
They left the room and silently walked out of the house.
They got into the car.
Meghna: That’s was close.
Naina: I don’t think Mr Rathore is doing this willingly.
Karan: Bhai mentioned that as well, maybe Trishna and Nikhil left him with no choice.
Meghna: They’re in prison and yet they’re messing with us.
Naina: Di, we’ll get to the bottom of this.
Meghna: Hopefully soon.
