Part 49
The next morning Kunal and Karan went to get ready for their next plan.
Naina and Meghna laughed as they saw them in their attire.
They were wearing denim jumpsuits with a heavy beard and turban on as well as a yellow helmet.
Kunal: Yaar, we have to go as engineers so we need to look like this.
Karan: But why do we have to go in as engineers from Punjab?
Kunal: Just for fun.
Karan: The only people who are having fun are Bhabi and Naina who are at laughing at us.
Naina: You guys look great!
Meghna: Okay, the twins are with Maa and Papas. Obviously Maa doesn’t know but Papa made up an excuse to keep the babies with them while we do what we need to do.
Naina: Papa gave us the address of the house so let’s get going.
Kunal and Karan drive in one car while Meghna and Naina were following them from a distance.
Kunal and Karan ringed the bell of Trishnas house.
Trishna opened the door.
Trishna: Who are you?
Karan: We are here to check your light bulbs.
Trishna: Excuse me?
Kunal: Ma’am the lights had gone off of the whole streets homes and we need to see where the problem was and so we need to check your light bulbs and see if they were the problem or if it was your circuit that cause the whole streets….
Trishna was getting good confused and paused Kunal.
Trishna: Okay okay. You can come in.
Kunal looked at Karan and smirked. Kunal spoke rubbish and got his way as usual.
Trishna: Where will you start?
Kunal: The hallway.
Trishna: Okay, I’ll grab a coffee would you like one?
Kunal&Karan: No thank you.
Karan opened the door front door.
Karan: I’ll go and get the ladder.
Trishna then walked into the kitchen.
Karan got Meghna and Naina into the house then went to get the ladder.
Meghna and Naina went to the office. NK had given them instructions of what room was where.
Meghna: Let’s quickly look for those photos.
They searched everywhere but couldn’t find it.
Naina: Di, I think we should try her bedroom.
They both headed out making sure they were careful.
Once they got into the room They looked around.
Naina found an envelope and opened it up to find the photo.
Naina: Found it Di.
Meghna went to Naina: Well done Chiku.
Naina: Let’s go now.
At the same time Kunal and Karan were just taking off light bulbs and fixing it back in.
Kunal: Our work here is done.
Karan: Well be on our way.
Trishna: I’ll go and get my purse.
Karan: For what Ma’am?
Trishna: For your work.
Kunal: Ma’am that won’t be necessary.
Trishna: Don’t be silly, my purse is in my room, I’ll be a minute.
Trishna turned back and started walking up the stairs.
Kunal: Meghna and Naina are in her room, I saw them go there before.
Karan: What do we do now?
Kunal was looking around, he quickly went up he ladder and dropped a light bulb from the chandelier. Trishna stopped walking up the stairs.
Kunal picked up the glass and hurt himself
Karan : Bhai!
Kunal: Ouch!
Meghna and Naina heard Kunal and exchanged looks.
Meghna: Kunal?!
She whispered.
Karan: Ma’am, I think he needs some fisrt aid.
Trishna walked down and took Kunal into the kitchen.
Karan went and got Meghna and Naina out of Trishnas room as well as the house.
A few minutes later Trishna and Kunal came out of the kitchen.
Kunal: Thank you.
Trishna: It’s okay.
Trishna went to her room and saw something was different.
She came back down and saw Kunal and Karan left.
Trishna: Strange.
Kunal and Karan drove back home.
They found Meghna and Naina already home and in the office with NK.
NK: Well done guys.
Karan: Thank Dad.
Naina: It’s the least we could do.
Meghna: I wonder how she’s doing now.
Trishna went back into her room and then was looking for the photos. She looked everywhere and didn’t find them.
Trishna: Where are they!?
She was getting angry.
Trishna: They couldn’t have.
Kunal: I’m sure we’ll find out soon.
Just then NKs phone rang.
NK: Hello?
Trishna: You have them don’t you?!
NK smiled and out the phone on speaker.
Meghna: We do, we have them and so now you can stop blackmailing Papa.
Naina: Have a good life.
NK hung up.
Karan: Come one guys let’s get back to our lives.
Kunak: You’re right.
Trishna was standing in her room, angry and furious.
Trishna: No! No no no no noooo!!!
She wiped everything off her dressing table with her hands.
Trishna: NK Chauhan, you will not get away with this. You took my son and now I’ll tear your happy family apart. Mark my words.
Naina and Karan went to NK and Nirmalas room and found the twins standing up in their cribs. Nirmala had gone downstairs to prepare breakfast.
Naina: Hello my munchkins, and how are you today?
Karan picked up Kaira.
Karan: Hi princess!
Kaira giggled as Karan held her in the air.
Naina had Maahir in her lap and looked at Karan and Kaira.
Naina: Look, Di is having so much fun.
Maahir was laughing and clapping his hands watching his older sister.
Karan: You wanna go Maahir?
Naina took Kaira and Karan took Maahir.
Meghna was at the door smiling.
Kunal saw he standing there and went to her.
Kunal: What are you smiling at?
He held her from behind.
Meghna pointed at the couple with the little kids.
Kunal followed her finger and saw a heart warming moment. His little brother and saali with babababies
Meghna: They’re so happy.
Kunal: They’d be really parents.
Meghna: They really would.
Kunal: You wanna leave them or…
Meghna: I wanted to call them for breakfast but I don’t wanna ruin the moment.
Kunal smiled: Let’s give them a few minutes.
Meghna reclined back into Kunals and they watched them.
Meghna remembered that Kunal had hurt himself before, she turned around and then lifted Kunals left hand.
Kunal: Aree…
Meghna: You hurt yourself before, how?
Kunal: I was crating a distraction for Trishna otherwise she would’ve spotted you and Naina and I couldn’t l couldn’t let that happen.
Meghna: Kunal.
Kunal: Meghna.
Meghna: How is it now?
Kunal: It’s okay? I just need to bandage it again later.
Meghna: Okay, you’ll need to take some painkillers because I know your strong but your a really weakling.
Kunal: No I’m not.
They laughed.
