Part 47:

Things went back to normal, work, home, school and just life. Meghna worked from home because she knew she needed to be with the twins. Naina and Kunal were at the office. Karan came home early.
Meghna: Hey Karan.
Khyati: Hi Bhai!
Karan: Hey guys.
He went to Maahir and picked him up.
Karan: Is Dad home?
Khyati: No, he just went into the office.
Karan: I see.
Meghna signaled Karan the study.
Meghna: Khyati, will you take care of the twins for a bit, I need to go to the study.
Khyati smiled: Of course I’ll take care for these cupcakes.
Meghan smiled and walked into the study. Khyati was too busy playing that she didn’t notice Karan leave and go into the office.
Naina called Meghnas phone.
Meghna: Hey Chiku, me and Karan are on the study now and we’re looking around.
Naina: Sounds good, me and Jeeju are on our way home.
Karan: See you soon.
Kunal and Naina walked home greeted everyone and then went into the study.
Kunal hugged Meghna.
Kunal: Hey.
Meghna smiled: Hello.
Karan hugged Naina as well.
Karan: Missed you.
Naina: Missed you too.
The four of them looked everywhere. Naina then found a letter under some junk mail.

Naina: Guys?
The three of them gathered around Naina.
Kunal: Is that a ransom note?
Karan read it out loud: “ You know what to do. – Trishna”
Meghna: It’s signed Trishna, but it’s using ransom note style with all the newspaper.
Kunal: Must be one dumb person.
Naina: Who is this Trishna?
Meghna: Where did you find it?
Naina: Under this stack of junk mail.
Kunal: Dad was hiding it.
Karan: Why would he hide this?
Naina: Must be serious.
Meghna: We’ll have to look for more things.

Just the they heard the door handle. They exchanged looks and then scattered in to different directions pretending to look for something.
NK walked in: Whats going on?
Meghna: Found it!
Karan: Oh Dad, Bhabi needed help looking for a file.
Kunal: She found it.
Naina: We can go now, because she found it.
Meghna: Thanks for your help guys, but I found it.
They all smiled at NK like nothing happened and left the room

They quickly went to Karan and Nainas room.
Meghna: That was close.
Karan: Do you think Dad will notice?
Kunal: I guess he’ll ask us?
Naina: Maybe, but we need to find who Trishna is.
Meghna: You guys know any Trishna?
Kunal. And Karan nodded their head no.
Naina: Should we ask anyone or would that be too suspicious?
Karan: We’ll do some more digging and if we don’t find anything then we’ll ask.
Kunal: Sounds good.
Meghna: Let’s go down before anyone suspects anything.
The four of them went downstairs separately, the evening went slowly.

Next morning Meghna and Naina went to the office while Kunal stayed home and Karan went to school.
Naina was sitting her and Meghnas room when she received a call from he office phone.
Naina: Hello?
Receptionist: Hi Naina Bhabi, there’s someone on the phone while wants to talk to NK sir but he and Meghna Bhabi are busy at the moment talking to some international clients. I explained to the woman but she’s adamant on speaking to him.
Naina: Don’t worry Geeta, just transfer the call to me and I’ll deal with it.
Geeta: Okay Naina Bhabi.
A few seconds later Naina was on call with the woman.
Woman: Hello, this is Trishna Gupta and I would like to talk to NK Chauhan.
Naina was shocked but didn’t react.
Naina: Hi Ms Gupta, unfortunately Mr Chauhan is busy at the moment. Is there anything I could help you with?
Trishna: Well it’s a personal matter and I can’t just share it with anyone.
Naina: I’m his Choti Bahu, Naina, married to his youngest son Karan.
Trishna: Oh! Hello Naina Bahu.
Naina was a little confused.
Trishna: Well, don’t worry about it Naina, I’m sure NK will receive my message?
Naina: Sure.
Trishna: Goodbye.
They hung up.
Naina: Why did she call the office and what is it she needed?
Naina quickly wrote down the number.
Naina: One step closer to finding out who you are.

Meghna walked in and hour later.
Meghna: That was so long!
Naina smiled.
Meghna: What have you been up to.
Naina: Another clue to our Trishna.
Meghna: Awesome! What did you get?
Naina and Meghna sat in the sofa.
Naina: Her name is Trishna Gupta, she called to talk to Papa and I told her who I was. Before hat she said it was personal.
Meghna: Did you get down the number.
Naina showed Meghna the paper.
Meghna: Well done.
Naina: I did some online research but I didn’t find anything.
Meghna: Don’t worry, I’m sure with this phone number we’ll be able to do something.
Naina: Hopefully Di.

Later that evening Meghna and Naina shared the information with Kunal and Karan.
Karan: What personal thing did she want to talk to Dad about?
Naina: No idea.
Kunak: There’s only one thing to do, we get Dads phone and call her.
Naina: But who will talk?
Meghna: Kunal can impersonate Dad very well.
Kunal (NK impersonation): Kunal, pass me that file my favourite child.
They all laughed.
Karan: Show off.
Meghna: How do we get Papas phone?
Karan: Leave that to me.
Karan left the room and came back 10 minutes later with NKS phone.
Naina: How?
Karan: A magician never reveals his secret.
Meghna: Karan!
Kunal: Show off.
Karan gave Kunal the phone, he dialled the number and it rang. He put it on loud speaker.
Trishan: Hello NK, I guess you got my message.
Kunal (NK): Yes, what did you want to talk about?
Trishna: You remember where the party is and what to bring?
Kunal (NK): Remind me.
Trishna: Forgetful NK, the party is at XYZ and bring them papers.
Kunal (NK): Of course
Trishna: Tomorrow 8pm sharp, I’ve organised it specially for you.
He hung up.
Naina: That was easy.
Karan: So, we show up there tomorrow?
Meghna: Yeah, but in disguise.
Kunal&Karan&Naina: Disguise?
Meghna: She knows what we look like, both weddings were in the media.
Naina: That’s true, but what disguise?
Kunal: I’ve got an idea.
Karan: Please let it be sensible!
