Part 40:

It was the evening of Karan and Nainas anniversary. Everyone was invited, Nainas family and friends were also present.

Everyone was having fun. Karan and Naina also gave a small performance.

Everyone clapped at the end of the song.
Kunal and Meghna admired the couple from a distance.
Kunal: See, everything’s just perfect.
Meghna: I’m really happy for them.

After the party was over everyone went to their rooms.
Naina and Karan were in their room, they changed into their night ware and got into bed.
Karan: So Naina , Di you want your gift now?
Naina: Yes please!
Karan took out am envelope put if the drawers and handed it to Naina.
Naina opened it up and saw plane tickets.
Naina: You’re taking me to?
Karan: London, New York and then Sydney.
Naina: What! All of those places?
Karan: Yes , for the next 3 weeks we’ll be spending a week in each city.
Naina: Karan! This is the best!
Karan: I’m very happy you liked it.
Naina: I love it Karan.
Karan: I love you.
Naina: I love you too.
Naina kissed Karan…(I’ll leave the rest to your imagination)

The next morning Karan and Naina headed to the airport. They were dropped off by Kunal and Meghna.
Meghna: Have a safe flight and have fun.
Karan: We will Bhabi.
Kunal: Take picture and bring us all something back.
Naina: Of course Jeeju!
They hugged each other and said their byes.

The three weeks went by quick. The summer holiday was over and Arjun started his final school year. Khyati had finished college and now was spending time home and also looking for a job.
Karan and Naina had come home from their vacation. Everyone got back to work.
It was a Friday evening, Naina and Meghna were sitting with Nirmala.
Nirmala: Meghna, Naina, tomorrow your father’s best friend is coming along with his wife and son, they’re coming to see Khyati.
Meghna: Really Maa?!
Nirmala: Yes, your Papa and uncle are childhood friends.
Naina and Meghna were very excited.
Naina: Have you spoken to Khyati about it yet?
Nirmala: I have, and so tomorrow it’s your duty to get everything ready.
Meghna: Don’t worry Maa , everything will be perfect.
Naina: Haan Maa, well also get Khyati ready.
Nirmala smiled.
