Part 39:
A week went by. Karan hadn’t gotten his memory back but Naina was making her arrangements.
There was only a week until Karan and Nainas wedding anniversary.
Karan was in the living area sitting with everyone. Naina slipped upstairs and got her plan in action.
Khyati was also upstairs and called Karan.
Khyati: Karan Bhai!
Karan left and went to Khyati.
Khyati: Bhai! I’m in your room!
He went to his room but didn’t see her there. Instead he saw a dupatta in the bed. The same one that he kept that was Nainas.
He walked to the bed and held the dupatta.
Karan: Why is this here?
He closed his eyes and then saw flashbacks. He was the boys who held Naina and how he saved her from them.
Karan opened his eyes as he heard music play.
“Pehle Khabhi…”
Karan turned around. The room was empty, until he saw Naina in the dress that she wore on their first date.
Karan: Naina?
Naina: Hi Karan.
Karan sat down as his head started hurting.
Naina ran to him.
Naina: Karan?
Karan: Naina?
Naina: Is everything okay Karan?
Karan: I.. I don’t…
He fell unconscious.
Naina called out for help and the doctor was called. They examined him.
NK: What’s wrong with my son?
Doctor: He has fallen into a coma.
Naina: Again?
Doctor: Unfortunately.
Kunal: How…long?
Doctor: Only time will tell.
Naina was sat next to Karan holding his hand.
Everyone left the room apart from Meghna who was hugging her sister.
Meghna: Chiku? Karan will wake up okay?
Naina: I know he will Di but it’s because of me he went into the coma.
Meghna: No Chiku, it’s not your fault.
Naina: I tried getting his memory back that I didn’t think of what might happen.
Meghna: Shhhh…
The few days went by and Karan was still in the coma.
Naina was taking care of him and was with him every second of the day.
There was only 2 dash left till their anniversary.
Naina went down to the Mandir.
Naina: Please! Please give me back my Karan!
Naina fell to the floor.
Naina: Show me something! Something that will show me that I will get him back!
Karan was in his bed, lying there still.
Naina: I need him back!
Karans finger moved.
Naina dropped her head down and the red colour fell on her head.
Karan slowly moved his hand, still lying down with his eyes closed.
Naina picked her head up and found the red colour on top of her sindoor. She touched her head.
Karan: Naina?
Karan was in his bed.
Naina smiled and looked at the stairs.
Naina: Karan?!
Naina got up and ran to her room. She entered to see Karan and hand moving.
Naina: Karan!
Karan: Naina.
Naina went to Karan and held his hand.
Naina: I’m right here Karan.
Meghna and Kunal walked in the room after hearing Naina.
Meghna: Chiku? Is every…
Naina: Di Karan moved his hand.
Kunal: I’ll call the doctor.
Kunal left the room and Meghna sat on the other side next to Karan.
Karan was opening his eyes.
Karan: Naina?
Naina: Karan, I’m here.
Karans eyes had opened an he looked at Naina. He smiled.
Karan: Don’t ever let me talk on the phone while driving.
Nainas eyes were tearing up and she laughed.
Naina hugged Karan.
Naina: You’re back!
Karan: I wouldn’t leave you Naina.
20 minutes later the Doctor came. He checked Karan and just gave some medication. The whole family were sitting with Karan. They were happy to have him back.
Arjun: We’re all so happy you’re back.
Dadaji: There’s someone who’s really happy if your return.
Nirmala: Yes…
Kunal shouted: Kaira!
They all laughed.
Meghna: Kunal!
She elbowed him.
Kunal: Meghna!
Sandhya: Why don’t we leave the two alone.
Kunal: I’m not leaving Kaira with a weak Karan.
Khyati: Kunal Bhai!
Arjun: You think you’re funny.
Kunal: I know I am.
They all walked out leaving Naina and Karan.
Karan: Naina, I’m sorry.
Naina: No Karan, please.
Karan: I just…
Naina: I missed you but I knew you’d be back.
Karan: I won’t be leaving you Naina.
Naina: You better not.
Karan kissed Naina.
Karan: I promise.
