Part 35:
The next morning everyone was waiting in the Chauhan house for Meghna and Kunal.
Arjun: Where are they?
Khyati had also come
Khyati: I can’t wait any longer.
Dadaji: Have patience children, they’ll be here.
Just then Kunals car came into the driveway.
NK: Here they come.
Kunal opened the door for Meghna and then the back door to get the babies.
Meghna came holding their daughter.
Naina: Welcome come Di!
Sandhya: She is absolutely adorable.
Karam: Let Bhabi come into the house everyone.
They all followed Meghna into the house and Kunal came behind with his son. Everyone looked back and saw Kunal with another baby.
Arjun was too busy to see that there was a baby in Kunals arms as he was looking at his niece.
Arjun: So what was the surprise you were talking about?
Nirmala: Maybe you should look at Kunal standing behind you.
Arjun turned to Kunal.
Arjun: Hey Bhai.
Arjun still hadn’t noticed.
Naina: Arjun?
Arjun: Haan Bhabi?
Kunal: Pagal!
Arjun looked at Kunal again..
Arjun: TWINS!!
Everyone laughed.
NK: Yes , twins!
Kunal and Meghna sat next to each other holding their babies as everyone huddled around them.
Rohan: Congratulations both of you.
Surbhi: What a wonderful surprise.
Ayush stood next to Kunal looking at the baby.
Kunal: That’s your little brother.
Ayush: Bhaiyaaa.
Surbhi smiled and kneeled down.
Surbhi: You’re a Bhaiya Ayush!
She kissed his cheek and Ayush laughed.
Khyati: So guys what are the babies names?
Karan: We know!
Naina: Baby girl is Kaira and boy is…
Karan: Boy is Maahir.
Dadaji: Great choices.
Karan: Bhabi , Bhai we have a surprise for you!
Naina: You guys can come out now!
Everyone moved out of the way so Kunal and Meghna could see.
It was Sharda, Bade&Chote Mamu along with Badi&Choti Mami as well as Vishal and Vaibhu.
Kunal: You’re all here!
Khyati: It was Masi Maa’s idea.
Meghna&Kunal: Thank you Masi Maa.
Sandhya: I knew you’d both want them here.
Sharda: Ghudiya, Kunal congratulations to the both of you!
Vishal: Double happiness.
Vaibhu: They’re so small!
Everyone laughed.
NK: What about the other surprise?
Kunal: Guys , how many surprise are there?
Sharda: Just another little one.
Karan: Bhabi, Bhai come with us.
Karan stood next to Meghna while stood next to Kunal who was walking with Naina.
Hey went to their room and saw the painting an the newly decorated room.
Meghna: Guys , it looks amazing.
Kunal: It really does, thank you.
Arjun: Although now we need another cot.
NK: Dont worry , I arranged that yesterday.
Kunal smiled: Thank you Dad.
Dadaji: Okay everyone, let he new household members sleep and let or new parents freshen up.
Nirmala: You two out the babies to sleep and then come down to eat some breakfast.
Khyati: Then I’ll come and babysit!
Karan: No I will!
Arjun: You guys can forget about it because I will.
Meghna: Guys, you can all babysit.
Kunal: Trust me you’ll hate it.
Khyati: I doubt it Kunal Bhai.
Kunal: Whatever Khyati.
Sandhya: Come on everyone , downstairs!
They all left Kunal, Meghna and the babies.
20 minutes later Kunal texted Khyati to go up and babysit.
Khyati: Kunal Bhai told me to go!
Karan: What! That’s so unfair.
Arjun: Well I’m going.
The 3 of them rushed upstairs and then Kunal came holding Meghna downstairs.
Dadaji was sitting at his table and Meghna&Kunal sat with him.
Meghna: It’s nice to be able to sit her again Dadu.
Dadaji: It’s nice to have you back.
Naina served Meghna and Kunal.
Meghna: Thank you Chiku.
Naina smiled: You’re welcome Di.
After breakfast everyone sat together in the living area while the kids were with the babies. Meghna was leaning on her mother’s shoulders and looked at everyone talking she was the happiest she’d been. Slowly her eyes started to close down to tiredness.
She woke up and found herself back in her room. She sat up and saw Naina sitting next to her.
Naina: Hey Di.
Meghna smiled: Hi Chiku, did Kunal bring me?
Naina: Of course he did , you must be really tired.
Meghna: I was, I just liked sitting there with everyone.
Naina: It’s already 2 pm and Mumma and everyone else is packing to leave so good you woke up now.
Meghna was a little upset: They’re leaving already?
Naina too was upset: Unfortunately.
Sharda and the rest of their film came to bid Meghna and Naina goodbye.
Meghna: Let me drop you to the door at least.
Bade Mama: No Meghna Beti, you need your rest.
Choti Mama: Haan , we know where the door is.
Choti Mami: Of course you do, you know where the kitchen is as well.
Badi Mami: Take care of yourselves you two.
Meghna: We will.
Naina: We’ll miss you all.
Vishal: So will we, but there’s always facetime.
Vaibhi: Makes sure you always facetime with the babies okay?
Meghna pulled Vaibhus cheeks: Of course I will.
Sharda: Bye Ghudiya, bye Chiku.
They all hugged and left.
Rohan and NK dropped them all home.
In the evening Naina was sitting with Meghna and massaging her feet with oil.
Meghna: Chiku, you know you don’t need to do that.
Naina: I want to Di.
Meghna: You’ve done so much already, you arranged this room, you threw me a baby shower , most importantly you took care of everyone in this house.
Naina: It’s my duty Di, just like you’ve always taken care of everyone I did the same.
Meghna: You did a much better job.
Naina smiled.
Meghna: Chiku?
Naina: Yes Di?
Meghna: Can I get a hug?
Naina hugged her sister and Meghna held her tight.
Meghna: Chiku, I am so lucky to have you with me.
Naina: I’m luckier to have you Di.
The two sisters sat and talked for a while.
Naina went to her room and saw Karan getting ready for bed.
Karan: How’s Bhabi?
Naina: She’s good, she still awake because she was sleeping during the day but told me should sleep so here I am.
Karan: Come and sit.
Naina sat on the bed and Karan gave her a head massage.
Naina: Thank you.
Karan: You’ve been very busy these past months.
Naina: That’s what Di was saying.
Karan: You know it’s only 2 months left till our 1 year anniversary?
Naina: Of course I know.
Karan: I’ve got a perfect gift.
Naina: Do you now?
Karan: Yep , and I didn’t need anyone’s help.
Naina: Well that’s new.
Karan: I just hope you like it.
Naina: As long as you’re by my side I’ll be happy.
Karan: I’ll always be here Naina.
Naina smiled at Karan: I know.
Karan: I’ll do anything for you.
Naina: So would I.
