Days after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, his father KK Singh has finally opened up about his actor-son. The family is mourning but he mustered up the courage to speak about what went wrong. In a conversation with a portal, Mr. Singh talked about his last conversation with Sushant and Sushant’s personal life. Sushant died by suicide on June 14 2020, at his Bandra residence in Mumbai.
SSR’s father revealed that they gave birth to Sushant after a lot of prayers. “Bohot mannat maang ke paida hua tha Sushant. 3 saal mannat maangi thi uske liye. 4 ladkiyon main ek ladka tha” he said.
Singh revealed that earlier Sushant used to talk about his feelings with his father, but as he grew up, he became isolated. “Pehle toh sab bolta tha par last me kya hua, usne bataya nahi (He used to be frank before, but didn’t speak much about what he was going through towards the end),” his father said.
Reacting to the reports of Sushant’s marriage plans, his father KK Singh confirmed the reports and said that the actor was planning a wedding around February-March. “Iss par baat hui thi, usne bola tha ki corona me toh nahi, fir uske baad ek film aa rahi hai, wo karlenge, uske baad February-March mein dekhte hai karenge. Yehi last baat hui thi uske sath meri (We had spoken about it earlier. He had told me that he won’t get married during corona but after his upcoming film releases, he will think about planning a wedding around February-March. This was the last conversation we had about his marriage).”
Sushant’s father did not reveal the identity of the girl who Sushant wanted to get married to, but added: “We told him he should get married to a girl of his choice as he has to spend his life with her.”
Speaking of Sushant’s relationships, his father revealed that Ankita Lokhande was the only girl in Sushant’s life that his father knew of, and he wasn’t aware of Rhea Chakraborty. He added that Ankita had not only visited them in Mumbai but also in Patna.
Sushant and Ankita met on the sets of a Television show Pavitra Rishta and fell in love. The duo dated for six long years and then parted ways. SSR’s father also added that Sushant’s co-star and dear friend Kriti Sanon was the only one who came up to him at the funeral and talked to him. He said,”Aaye toh bohot log the lekin humse sirf Kriti Sanon mili thi, ha wo baith ke baat kiya. Hum toh baat nahi kiya, wo jo bol rahi thi hum sunte gaye. Aaye sablog aaye, par Corona ke chalte sab dur hi the. Kyuki muh pe mask tha toh hum kisiko pehechane nahi. Kriti Sanon bagal mein baithi thi na aur kisine bataya toh malum hua ki…par wo thi ya nahi thi wo malum nahi ha par ek smart ladki thi aur bol rahi thi ki pyaara ladka tha, yehi sab baat hai.”
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Sushant’s family held a prayer meeting at his Patna house, which also saw the presence of Bhojpuri actor Akshara Singh and Bhojpuri actor-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari, among others.
