Surprising Situation

A rich looking house.. There is a beautiful garden for that house.. There is a white bench in a corner of the garden.. A boy is sitting on it and brooding..

Suddenly, a middle aged woman comes there .

” What are you thinking son ?”

“Nothing”

“Okay. Then come to have lunch. We are waiting ”

The boy doesn’t go with his mother. So, mother goes back. He gets thinking again..

“I can’t allow dad to do that. I can give them to one of my friends. I know mom doesn’t want to keep them here but I can’t throw them out and make them street cats ”
He gets up and walks towards an old looking store house.. He stops near a box and peeps inside.
A big cat is sleeping with four or five other little kittens in that box. The boy gently rubs little kittens’ heads.

“I don’t know what to do”

He gets up and goes into his house.
The scene ends..
In the lunch table..

“Son, I will put those kittens somewhere tonight ”

“But dad how can we throw them like this? Are you trying to destroy their lives?”

“I don’t have answers for your questions”

Father gets angry . He finishes his lunch and goes from there. The boy silently takes his lunch..

The scene ends..
At night, the boy takes a packet of biscuits and goes to the kittens. He feeds them. Kittens slowly , but gently says , ‘ meow ‘ .
The boy suddenly gets tears in his eyes.. He quickly wipes those tears and runs into home..

The scene ends..
Next day, morning..
” Get up son ”

Mother peeps into his son’s room . But , her son is already awake, still laying on his bed.

“Why? What happened to you?”

The boy asks ,
“Where are they?”

Mother sighs..
“Your dad took…..”
The boy gets up quickly and gets ready.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m going to my friend’s house. I will spend today there ”

The Scene ends..
The boy silently looks down and walks.. Finally he reaches a house which is rather old looking…
He rings the bell ..

“Coming.. ”
A woman’s voice comes from inside.. The door opens ..
“Oh!! You at this hour! Come in. Your friend has got a new work to do ”

The boy enters the house wondering what that work might be.
Suddenly, he gets shocked..
The same kittens which he had in his house the day before , are in his friend’s house today .

” I got these cuties while I was going to shop this morning. Someone has put them in the street . So I took them home. I can’t see them dying by hunger ”
