“Mr. sanskar maheshwari you are the youth sensation, how do you feel?” the interviewer asked a man sitting in front of him proudly.”I am lucky that youth recognize me as their icon…I sing keeping in mind the mindset of young generation”sanskar said casually but his whole Aura spoke of arrogance and proud.sanskar maheshwari,a 28 years old singer achieved the carrier’s height through his constant perseverance and being a businessman’s son helped him achieve contacts easily by which he doesn’t knows much about struggle but is filled with arrogance and obessed with self ,he doesn’t believe anyone easily in this industry and sees all as selfish and greedy.
“last question sir, you have established yourself in rock music but do you wish to widen your scope to romantic genre? classical singing… “sanskar panicked at this question but hid his anxiety masking a cold look.”yes I have even started the plan to enter this genre…I will soon launch a music album of this field”sanskar lied proficiently.the interviewer smiled saying”so we can consider it an official announcement…. but is it solo like your other albums?”. if looks could kill sanskar would have killed him 100 times but faking a smile he replied facing the camera”I am doing a romantic duet…. with a fresh face…I will launch that girl… further I can’t reveal”. sanskar got up giving a tight smile and went from there.
“what was the need to make that announcement… you know you can’t sing such soulful…I mean emotionally straining songs then and above that you are rejecting every girl that has come in this 2months… how will you make an album like this?” the music director asked a carefree sanskar worried.”Gopi have you searched any other girl?”sanskar addressed his secretary who shuddered in fear nodding a yes.sanskar was frustrated and burst at his secretary “so where’s the girl? you could not even get a girl who sings nicely,what am I asking.. just a good singer who could sync with my voice…a melodious voice…is it too hard to find?”.
a girl got down in front of Dreams studio she gave money to the auto driver and smiled at him who blessed her wishing her luck.”thanks kaka”the girl spoke in her sweet voice.she moved inside with slow steps in nervousness twisting the edge of her dupatta.she had come to this city of dreams with the dream to make her own place in this music industry but her luck didn’t shined till now and she was disappointed by her rejections from everywhere.but nothing changed about her, her sweet and jovial nature, she made everyone smile with her presence, even her beauty didn’t made her rude for which she had been appreciated everywhere, she was down to earth girl, simple and generous.
she reached a door and went in taking a deep breath to calm her racing nerves.sanskar looked at the girl standing on the door and twisted his lips while Gopi greeted her taking her in.”suit salwar??wonder what magic she will do…hmm seeing her it seems she will faint right now”sanskar thought giving her a haughty glance.”my name is ragini rai”ragini said softly when music director asked her.sanskar who had not looked at her properly looked blankly hearing her soothing voice.he noticed her hazel brown orbs which reflected her tension,her pink juicy lips moved to reply others and her cute nose scrunched up and down when she reacted to their comments,in short he was mesmerized by this suit salwar girl but his prominence was music so he jumped in the conversation.
“sing a song”sanskar gave her a cold look which tensed her up but she nodded nevertheless.ragini closed her eyes calming herself and started singing a melodious song.sanskar who seemed uninterested turned to her hearing her calm voice which soothed him.ragini sang a beautiful song impressing all present there.gopi looked at sanskar skeptical who nodded his head hiding his emotions.ragini looked silently at everyone when sanskar went out without saying anything which hurt her.gopi came before her shaking her hand congratulating her.a wide smile appeared on her lips and after getting number of Gopi she went from there still smiling.
“wohoo”ragini danced crazily finding the corridor deserted , she finally got a chance to prove herself.she was twirling here and there when she dashed to a hard chest.ragini looked up innocently at the person who in turn glared at her and moved from there.ragini bit her tongue mentally scolding herself seeing sanskar’s reaction.sanskar smiled unknowingly,he muttered”stupid classless girl” but his heart adored her innocent antics and her dance in excitement.
“no do like this”sanskar told ragini who looked at him attentively hearing him singing.sanskar could not get the notes in the way a romantic song should be but he tried to get ragini to sing in his way while the music director looked on tired.if sanskar is corrected he will burst at the person only who tried to improve him and music director didn’t wanted to take that risk.”sir I think it should go on smooth, it’s a soulful song,we don’t need to keep it harsh,it has to be sweet and connect as a romantic song”ragini spoke softly while sanskar looked at her anger engulfing him.”how dare you tell me what to do…I have been in this industry for so long and you have not even entered it..you…. you will teach me?”sanskar burst at her hitting the chair beside going out.ragini’s heart trembled with fear seeing him angry.
“she won’t come, sanskar you screamed at her so loudly…it must have hurt her” shyam, the music director said when they were sitted in the studio.sanskar paced from here to there sulking around.”may I come in”ragini asked with her usual bright smile while shyam, Gopi and sanskar looked at her shocked.sanskar nodded and they started practicing, sanskar didn’t said her sorry as he never did it.
“sir it’s a romantic song…we have to keep in mind the people who are listening it…they are not listening to lift their mood by a sunny song… it’s a song that depicts emotions…. hearing which people will feel love… the sweet and painful memories of love…I know you are specialised in rock songs, you have years of experience but this genre needs a calm, peaceful and soulful approach…we have to sing it like that”ragini spoke each word softly wishing that he understands.her voice seemed so soothing to him filling him with tranquility.
sanskar had been surprised that she turned up after yesterday’s incident, this made him respect her and taking her advice seemed so right as she was not one to treat him low showing his mistake, she was the only one who he thought he can take advice from seeing her innocence and calm nature.ragini looked on nervous seeing him silent but a nod from him got a smile on her face.they practiced the tune for the songs all day.”sir”Gopi came with food for him, sanskar nodded taking the plate from him while ragini moved out to eat.”you can also eat here”sanskar said looking here and there while ragini sat getting a nod from Gopi who seemed surprised from this gesture of sanskar.a mouth watering fragrance hit his nostrils and he looked at the source but averted his gaze.”wow it seems delicious”Gopi licked his tongue looking at ragini’s lunch.”here have some Gopi bhaiya”ragini forwarded her food to him who smiled taking it.”sir do you want it?”ragini asked sanskar doubtful of his reaction.sanskar so wanted to say yes but his star status came as an obstacle.
“we are collegues now so you can have my lunch”ragini forwarded him her hand made dish as she has come to know sanskar won’t bent down in front of anyone even if it costs him his life.sanskar didn’t reacted to her but just took a bite and felt heaven,it reminded him of his mother’s food.sanskar got up immediately hurrying from there while ragini looked puzzled.the food reminded sanskar of his happy family days when his mother cared for him more than anything but now she was drowned in wine destructing their family.ragini came out searching him to practice and found him sitting in a corner Lost.”sir let’s go we have to practice”ragini gently told him not looking at him particularly.sanskar looked at her and they went inside.”I know you won’t share with a stranger like me about your worries so I didn’t pressurized you”ragini thought walking besides him.
“but do you think he will be able to complete this album?”the producer asked shyam skeptic.sanskar heard their conversation standing outside the door.”I mean you know he makes money through Rock and party songs….he would be able to portray the perfect emotions in such album….he seems unsettled, his emotions hide in rock songs but in romantic music will he go on with the softness and calmness and peace needed?”producer questioned shyam who frowned but composing himself stated”don’t worry sir your money won’t be wasted…. sanskar is doing a really good job…he has transformed himself to sing this album and the changes are splending… the public will go mad hearing him”. the producer raised his eyebrows but nodded and went from there.”oh Mr sanskar nice to meet you”the producer shook hands with him faking a smile while he nodded smiling widely,of course fake.
“what do these people think?I won’t be able to sing a blo*dy sad song ,I will show them what I am”sanskar tightened his jaws thinking.”come on we have to practice hard”sanskar looked enthusiastic surprising ragini.ragini nodded smiling and they did practice for hours.”still he is not exactly getting into the soul of the song… what to do, should I talk to him….i have to think something else”ragini thought when she had lunch with sanskar and Gopi.
“hello sir”ragini entered squeaking happily but her smile dropped getting a glare from sanskar.”sir’s mom is not picking his call, she kept his file somewhere and now he doesn’t have soft copy of songs”Gopi whispered to ragini who nodded keeping an eye on sanskar.”sir I think you should write your songs again…. you wrote them once just remember them”ragini tried giving a solution.”wow great idea…do I look like a mad?I wrote it in past 2months thinking day and night and now you want me to write again.. it had been so depressing for me to find the right words…I was stressed thinking of the perfect lyrics and now you want me to write it like it’s a child’s play”sanskar sarcastically spoke in a high pitch.ragini stepped back apologizing, her plan to be friends with him, get him in happy mood to sing perfectly went down the drain.
“sir please come with me”ragini held his hand tightly pulling him who frowned at her behavior resisting her but she was not affected by it.
“orphanage?”sanskar stood frustrated in front of a worn out old building.”orphanage and old age home”ragini took his hand pulling him inside with a smile on her face.sanskar’s face scrunched seeing her Monopoly on him but he didn’t feel like resisting it, she was not controlling him to take advantage but she just placed rights on him like a friend with no benefits.
ragsan moved inside and saw many children playing happily despite the weary conditions around.sanskar felt so poor of him looking at those kids who smiled having nothing but he stressed for even small things blaming others for his misfortune and punishing self by being rude to close ones who Care for him.
Rock Star sanskar lost himself in this innocent world of kids who played with him and made him a kid too.”yeah ragini Didi catch me”siya clapped giggling while ragini tried moving towards the source of voice as her eyes had cloth.ragini was distracted by others who attracted her attention but when she came close they ran away.dagini stood in middle thinking silently when the children circled around her.ragini smirked sensing their presence and grabbed someone.”arre why is your waist so large”ragini said removing the cloth from her eyes.she stood shocked looking at the person she held so close.
“sir”ragini said her cheeks turning red with his hot breath on her face, she held sanskar’s waist tightly while their faces were cms apart.sanskar lost himself in her innocent eyes standing numb.”haha”the children giggled bringing them back to earth and ragini left him feeling embarrassed.”now bhaiya’s turn”siya said and they tied the cloth on his eyes who nodded his head smilingly.sanskar tried catching others but to no avail.he was about to trip on a stone when ragini ran towards him turning him towards herself before he lost his balance.sanskar held her waist instinctively while ragini removed the cloth.children went inside hearing the lunch bell leaving ragsan alone.ragini could hear his heart beating rhythmetically sending butterflies in her stomach.she felt blood rush to her cheeks making her red with the closeness between them.sanskar felt serene with her in his hold as if he got a new reason to live.ragini came out of his hold pushing him a bit and went from there without uttering a word.sanskar looked at her disappearing figure fervently.he felt his nerves breaking when she left his hold taking his calm with her.
“ragini beta”an old couple blessed her while sanskar looked on dazed.”I started coming here when ever I felt sad and slowly I made an emotional connection with them… now I try to visit them as much as possible….it gives me a satisfaction…they didn’t let me feel that I am alone…I miss my family but they are not less than them”ragini looked at sanskar emotionally who felt a pinch in his heart hearing her.
“they have been married for 50yrs now and they wish to stay with each other forever”ragini told sanskar showing him an elderly couple who were feeding each other.”Aunty doesn’t reacts to him but he still talks to her in the hope that she reacts some days”ragini moved towards a room where an old man was laughing on his own joke looking at the neutrally lieing lady.sanskar moved behind ragini hearing from her about the elderly couples who haven’t left each other’s side anytime.
“they love each other a lot”sanskar’s eyes sparkled with tears.”I am glad you know what love is”ragini smiled softly.”I knew about love but I forgot about it…my mother tried running away with another man when I was 10… dad was broken but he got the man money and he ran away leaving behind my mother…mom blamed it on dad and took the support of wine to fill the void in her life.i have seen my dad suffering…he didn’t left mom even when she thrashed him badly….mom destroyed herself in love… which was selfish and changed with money….”sanskar had tears in his eyes remembering the past.which destroyed his innocent childhood.ragini held his hand blinking while sanskar leaned on her for support.sanskar cried for some time keeping his head on her lap while she patted his head silently.
“I saw a different sanskar today.. the one who is childlike and enjoys playing,who laughs heartily,who can smile genuinely,who appreciates others and trust others…I wish to see this sanskar everyday”ragini’s pacifying tone made him nod and they drove back dropping ragini at her hostel.ragini smiled at him sweetly which sanskar returned.the day had been emotionally hectic for them and they needed to rejuvenate for tomorrow’s practice so they slept with the feeling of content feeling their hearts.
“let’s start”sanskar said rubbing his hands and ragini started her lines.sanskar lost himself in her voice which depicted rightly the emotions of the song.now it was his turn and he sang beautifully feeling love fill his voice.ragini smiled ear to ear hearing him while Gopi looked shock at his boss.”wow”ragini clapped followed by Gopi when sanskar finished.”I got my file… sorry for shouting on you and thanks for yesterday treatment”sanskar said pleasantly smiling.ragini was amazed to see such drastic change in him.they practiced for the song and finally recorded it.
“it’s the release day and you don’t have a proper dress for function”sanskar widened his eyes seeing ragini smile sheepishly.”come”sanskar took her to shopping and bought few dresses for her.”no”sanskar said when she came wearing a red gown, ragini bent her shoulders lethargically tired of trying so many dresses.sanskar held her hand giving her other dress and pushed her inside trial room holding her shoulder.ragini felt herself weak on knees with his touch.sanskar stood outside looking nowhere thinking of ragini and the changes in him after her arrival,he was thankful to her for making him a better person.he didn’t realised that she made a special place in his heart and seizing his soul.ragini came out looking stunning in the grey gown mesmerizing sanskar.ragini looked at him doubtful when he just kneeled down saying”I would have proposed you… you look so pretty”. ragini felt Goosebumps hearing him biting her inner cheek to stop blushing.
“sanskar our album is a hit”ragini ran excited to his studio.sanskar turned around grinning widely and lifted her up from ground twirling her around while she tightened her grill on him giggling in his gesture with closed eyes.ragini took deep breaths when he got her down and she crashed on his chest feeling happy that she didn’t mind the closeness.sanskar wrapped his arms around her caressing her hair still smiling.”sir…”gopi’s voice brought them out and they parted away looking everywhere but each other.gopi smiled seeing them red like tomatoes understanding what happened.
“we want to sign you for another contract”shyam said to ragini who felt happy hearing him but her face fell down hearing his next words”with the known singer Mr abhay “. sanskar who just entered there felt blood rushing through him with the thought of another man with ragini’s name.”I am ready”ragini composed nodding but her smile had disappeared.sanskat came in gritting his teeth rage visible in his features.”we are called by a radio show tonight , just came to remind you”sanskar spoke hurriedly and went away while ragini looked at him feeling sad that he went like that.they turned really good friends,sharing their cues for song, providing inputs and in promoting for the album.they we’re quite popular among the people who recognize them with the name’ragsan’ giving them huge fanbase.the fans adored their friendship and bond combined with their meaningful song.
“sanskar I love you”a caller said excited on radio show where ragsan were sitting sulking for the other’s behavior.ragini felt jealous hearing the girl but kept it at bay.”we both want to see you married… do you love each other..if yes please tell your fans”a caller said turning ragsan red with blush.sanskar composed saying”thanks but we don’t love each other…it was bonding which you think as love… we are just friends”. ragini seemed hurt by his answer but chided herself for her growing feelings.sanskar felt happy with the caller’s thought but his jealousy took over him not letting him see his love.he was angry as to why ragini will work with any other and ragini’s nod added fuel to the fire.”ragini please go away I don’t want to talk to you”sanskar spoke harshly when ragini tried talking to him leaving her hurt.
“hello what happened”sanskar yawned picking the call of Gopi.”what,she isn’t picking the call from last night? couldn’t you tell me before”sanskar panicked hearing about ragini and rushed to her home freshening up.he found her door locked and madly asked around about her.finding her nowhere he reached the orphanage but it also disappointed him.sanskar broke down crying,her presence filled his heart with joy and her absence sucked the air out of his lungs.he felt devastated by her desertion, his nerves wrecked with the thought of living without her,he felt so disturbed , she was his calmant,her presence only kept him at peace and now she was gone because of him.”ragini… please come back I love you… please ragini come back…I am sorry”sanskar broke in sobs not able to handle it anymore.his facade for staying strong, proud and arrogant broke with her arrival and he felt failed seeing her not beside him.
“ragini?”sanskar opened his eyes in the morning in front of ragini’s flat who just returned from somewhere.seeing her in front of him he got up hugging her tightly.ragini could feel him too weak and tired with this red eyes and dark circles.she was too hurt by his behavior and went away to calm herself and get everything at place.she felt him tightening his hug on her bringing her out of her thoughts.she caressed his back feeling content in his arms.”ragini where you went?I searched you everywhere.. I was so worried… don’t leave like this…I love you so much….I can’t leave without you”sanskar spoke hurriedly cooing in her embrace.ragini smiled through her tears seeing him confess his love,she now knew why she felt bad by his behavior last days.
“I love you too”ragini whispered to him blushing while he tightened his hug.”I promise I won’t turn so possessive about you, you can work wherever you want…I won’t ever shout on you…I will always love you…”sanskar muttered to her when she caressed his hair who was lying in her lap.
“you are my content,my peace…tumhe dekh kar,tumhare saath rehkar mujhe sukoon milta hai…”sanskar leaned in to kiss her while she closed her eyes giving him consent.
