Shot two…
The rest followed Shivay to where he was going. Shivay carefully placed Anika in the car and was about to enter in to take care of her when he saw mahi standing there and looking here and there all tensed. He said with complete irritation and pain in his voice.
S: damn mahi what are you waiting for. Get the car on and let’s leave for hospital.
Mahi (M) : ya exactly that’s what I am thinking Shivay? But I don’t know any of the hospitals over here. This is not Mumbai.
S: (frustrated) god mahi I swear I will not leave you for delaying time. Man there might loads of hospital on the way just get in and let’s leave.
M: (he knew what was Shivay’s condition so he didn’t took his words wrong. He just said defeated) but Shivay…
L: (before Shivay could resist she came there and said deviating both the boys attention on her. For now let us consider the name of the lady as mehek) excuse me I don’t know how you both are related to her but I am thankful to you both for saving Anika. But right now we all need to concentrate on her so I think it would be better if we leave for hospital.
M: well thank you mam but we don’t know where hospitals are…
Mehek (ME) : (cutting him off in the middle) give me the keys I will drive you take the passenger seat. I hope that’s the only thing we can do now.
Without delaying for any further time Shivay took the back seat and took Anika in his lap and was rubbing her face and hands. While mahi mehek were tensed seeing Anika not getting up. All the while Shivay was pleading Anika to get up and Anika was not at all responding. Omru and rest followed them in another car and were equally tensed hearing Anika’s condition specially for the baby. Finally they reached the hospital and she was taken inside for treatment. The whole verandah were the oberoi’s and mehek were was completely tensed. The nurse came there with some formality papers which she was confused as whom to give. Mehek was the only person in sense as the rest were either supporting each other or busy handling Shivay to come out of shock. She signed the papers and the treatment started. Tension was filled in the atmosphere. After sometime the doctor came out making everyone get on their feet except Shivay as he was still lost. Mehek asked holding the doctor.
ME: Dr how is Anika now? I mean is she fine.
Dr: relax mam patient is fine but you must have take care of her. I mean you must have taken very particular notice of the things she see or she is doing in this phase of hers. I mean how can you be so careless you know she is five month pregnant and you must give her medicines on time.
ME: even I am surprised Dr. As I had given her the medicines then also she fainted.
Dr: okay so did she see something which surprised her or something unusual.
ME: (looking back at the rest of the person standing there) amm… (confused) I think yes… I mean no.
Dr: (confused) are you in a mood to joke with me mam.
ME: no sorry… actually I don’t know.
Dr: (looking at the rest she said) and you all you all are very mature enough to understand her condition and still apart from keeping her happy you keep her stressed. Very bad.
Om: sorry doctor even we are just trying to grasp the situation. We promise to keep her happy from now on.
Dr: good for you else I will make sure that she gets permanently shifted to a place where she finds solace. Do you all get that.
Though Shivay was sitting lost he was hearing all what the Dr said. And hearing the term sending Anika away again boiled his anger to the peaks. He just got up in a jolt surprising the Dr who was facing him and his eyes clearly showed the anger. Even the youngsters were surprised that they just wished that Shivay shouldn’t do something which will be wrong. Since the Dr was a lady Shivay maintained a specified distance and said in anger. While mehek was also shocked to see the sudden change in Shivay’s mood like this.
S: don’t you dare Dr to say something like that again. And who are you to decide what and where Anika has to stay haan.
Dr: excuse me mister. This is a hospital and be in your limits. You are talking to a doctor.
S: talking to a Dr… like really mam. Then being doctor how can you by yourself decide to send the patient away from her own family.
Dr: see I was just making you aware and as a doctor I have all the rights to take decision from the perspective of patients better health. No one can disobey a doctors order.
S: (in anger) well you can do this knowledge distribution in the case of other patients but not in the case of the one you are treating right now. Do you get that.
All this while mahi and om were asking Shivay to come down while the Dr’s anger was also increasing. Mehek was all the while noticing the possessiveness Shivay was showing and his owning which he had on Anika. Though she had not understood who he was to Anika, but she somehow felt some relation which he and Anika had was something special and even she felt nice to see such caring brothers of him. Rudra was supporting gauri as she was the one affected from Anika’s state apart from Shivay. She was all the while murmuring that nothing should happen to her sister. Rudra and bhavya we trying their level best to get the thing that Anika is fine to her. But no use. While all this was happening the doctor asked in calm tone but everyone understood that she was also angry though.
Dr: anyways I can see that you are talking too much. But may I know your relation with the patient or how are you related to her.
S: I am Shivay. Her husband.
Now this was the news was enough to get mehek off her guard. The person whom she wanted a lot of answers, whom she wanted to confront, whom she wanted to hate… was right in front of her. She just looked blankly at the rest assuming the faces by the way Anika had described them. The Dr continued.
Dr: oh, so you are the person. Well I wanted to see you in person Sir. If you were not yet prepared for having a baby then why did you let it grow till this fifth month. You should have waited for…
S: (realizing way at just said he asked surprised cutting her in between what she was saying) wait… wait… did you just say something about baby… Is Anika pregnant?
Dr: (mocking him) whoa… this must be the breaking news your wife is five months pregnant and you are in turn asking me that is she pregnant. Very good… what a nice husband you are? Are you suffering from any sort of amnesia Mr. Shivay. (looking at mehek) mam he is your son-in-law only na.
Shivay again got shocked hearing this that he didn’t listen to the rest thing told by the Dr. Mahi looking at Shivay and mehek understood that they were not in a condition to answer anything so he said.
M: well Dr he is really her husband and none of us have a minute doubt in that. I hope that you won’t mind to talk to me alone as I need to tell you something very important. And then after that you will get to know why he behaved like this. Please Dr.
The Dr nodded and giving a final glance to Shivay left from there. Mahi patting Om left behind her. Om indicted bhavya to handle mehek while he held Shivay bringing him out of the trance. Shivay immediately looked at Om and then taking his hands off walked away from there. Om sighed and let him go while he came near gauri and Rudy. He held gauri and she in turn hugged him and asked in between whether Anika was fine or not. Om rubbed her back and said comforting her that everything was fine and making her face him asked her to get strong and handle herself. Om asked rudy to follow Shivay. Rudy nodded and left. While I’m went to bring water for both gauri and mehek. Mahi took the Dr to a said and explained the situation to her while she just nodded and asked him to give proper care to Anika from then on and left.
While here Rudy with his almost his pace reached the exit of the hospital to find Shivay about to enter the car. He huffed a bit and ran to his full speed and got along with Shivay in car. Shivay looking at him said in scolding voice.
S: Rudy get back in the hospital I want to spend sometime….
R: (cutting his sentence in between and continued) alone… right this was what you wanted to tell. Bhaiya you spend your time alone, either talk to you alone do anything you want. I won’t interfere. I am just accompanying you for making you remember that you have a family look back. And even after that you still feel like doing something wrong then I will happily join you. As I cannot live without you.
S: (smiling n between tears) fine then. But don’t blame me afterwards. Okay.
Rudra too smiled and nodded. Shivay then after some long drive which he felt stooped near a park went in. Rudy followed him and sat saw Shivay sitting down near the fountain. The guard who was there was about to shout a Shivay for entering the garden even after seeing the closed board but rudra indicated him to get quite and asked him to leave after making a promise that they would leave in sometime. Shivay was looking at nothing particular but he was seeming to be all lost. Rudy looked at him for sometime and then went to bring water. All this while the thing which he did with Anika was flashing freshly in front of his eyes.
Flashback…
After all the drama and insults that Shivay and Anika lended on each other ended Shivay looking at Anika said with pain and guilt ridden voice.
S: today I we going to start our relation afresh but thanks to you, you once again open up my eyes at the right moment and once again you saved me from getting harmed. I thought that you were good at heart Anika but I never thought in my wildest dreams that you could also fall so low. (indicating her from top to bottom) you the person standing right here in front of me is not my Anika who used to be my strength… my reason for living… my faith… (with all this Anika felt that draggers were being pierced into her heart but she stood there strong without letting her emotions come out) now since you are not my Anika the thing which I had decided to burn in the holy fire of this mandap after our marriage but now I am giving it back to you. (he took out the divorce notice and signed it and threw it on her face) once I had accepted that you’re my wife right at this place and today right over here I am accepting in my complete senses I have nothing to do with you.
A lone tear escaped both their eyes. The reason behind Shivay’s tear was he was feeling dejected with what all happened and what Anika did on the contrary the reason behind Anika’s tear was she was making her Shivay cry and even making him feel weak. She just wished all the to be a dream but she knew that it wasn’t a dream and she also knew what was going to come up next. While all this was happening she looked around to find rudra and om standing there like states and in seeing her Rudy instantly hugged om and om pleaded Anika to go away as they were unable to see her in this condition being humiliated. Jhanvi was not less she was also pleading her the same but all Anika did was smile within herself and looked back at Shivay who by his mouth was saying something but she knew from within what was he saying.
S: (with complete pain) whatever we had in this relation and between us has finally ended and you are the one to destroy it. Never even dare to step back in my life again and don’t even try to keep any relation with anyone of us.
A: (wiping her tears she smiled and said with the pain double than what was there in Shivay’s voice) thanks for ending this name sake relation Mr. Oberoi. But even if you throw me out and ask me to leave I know that you won’t be able to forget me that easily. So, to lighten your efforts that you will do to forget me (handing him back the divorce notice) keep this with you. You need this much more than I need it because I have had enough of insults to hate you. Whenever you feel my thoughts are disturbing you just have a look at this notice you will find immediate solution to the turmoil as that sight will fill your mind with the incidents that took place today. And I promise you I will never ever come in front of you and if in any case if something like that happens then I will go away very far from you. (with a thin layer of tears formed in her eyes) HOPE THAT WE NEVER MEET AGAIN MR. OBEROI… ever.
(coming to pinky and looking at her with disgust filled in her eyes) I hope you got what you wanted from me Mrs. Oberoi… I must say a very big thank you to you lady, as it is because of your support only that I could do this. And I really wish that you get back all the happiness you want from now on which you thought had been lost. And haan a free suggestion too. (mocking her) if in case you don’t get that happiness even after my exit then please don’t blame me for that as today just because of you and your mercy I have lost my everything. That time I swear you will surely realize what you did and even if in case you don’t realize it then better understand that you have failed miserably as a human and above that as a woman.
S: (Anika knew what she was doing was enough to make the final string of anger in Shivay break. He hit said in anger) enough Anika not a word more you have told what you wanted to tell and we all heard enough of your talks now better get out on your own or else I will have to do that too by myself.
A: (facing him) arre what so hurry Shivay? First give me my share then I will leave.
S: (dejected) fine then tell me your price.
A: since we are legally divorced according to the clause you have to give me half of your share as alimony. As I know after I leave you will give this to Om…
This was enough for Shivay he just threw the paper and held Anika and dragged her out of the mansion and shut the door right on her face.
Flashback ends…
Rudra who had gone to get water had come there in between these thoughts which was going on in Shivay’s mind. He didn’t disturb him and sat by his side. While Shivay was regretting his doing. He somewhere feared that anika will also do as she had promised to do. On the other hand turn looked in the direction where Shivay was looking and said bring Shivay out of his trance.
R: bhaiya we have seen Jasmine blooming in our garden right from our childhood. Now what is so special in the Jasmine over here that toy are carefully staring at it from so long?
S: (confused) haan…
R: (pointing at the place where Shivay was looking this long he said. While Shivay realized what rudra meant and smiled) I meant you are staring that poor jasmine from so long. So, I thought to ask you. Scratching his hair) I mean this jasmine and the one which grow in our house are the same. And even to clear my confusion I went and did a closer observation too. But promise bhaiya I didn’t find anything special. Nor anything different.
S: (smiling at his little brother antiques he said) shut up Rudy. And haan grow up too.
R: (half hugging him and saying very calmly) now that’s like my super man. See how you easily got back to your normal form once again.
S: (ruffling his hair) so you had said all that purposely. Don’t know what would in have done if you all might had been by my side today.
R: (leaving him) but what were you thinking so deeply bhaiya?
S: nothing just the past things. I was thinking what will Anika do now to leave me as she had promised to do on that day when she was doing all that stunts to humiliate herself and the get thrown out of mansion.
R: (in a serous tone) hmm… none of these thoughts crossed my mind bhaiya. But do you think that bhabhi will do something sort like this even now also. I mean even at this stage where she wants our support.
S: (smiling with tears) well I don’t think that she would have forgotten what she had promised and I very well know that she will do what she has promised to do. So, I think she will definitely try to do something which will force her to leave us. And if I try coming in front of her then, she will do it in a very speedy way. So, it would be better if I don’t come in front after she gains senses.
R: but bhaiya what will we answer if she asks about you.
S: anything Rudy any reason… but hat don’t mention that I am with you all. And haan one thing more I will have to meet Mrs. Mehek personally as I have loads of questions to be answered from her. And even I have to prepare something huge to gain Anika’s faith in me and even apologize to her. And now the new reaction that I have learnt I have to prepare myself for that too.
R: (sighing) hmm… loads of works to do and that too within a short time. And to do that we have to reach the hospital before anyone do the reverse of what you have thought. Anyways… (hugging him) congratulations bhaiya. And thank you for making me a Chachu.
S: (smiling and then leaving him he said) let’s leave they might be also have got tensed by now thinking what is taking so long for us to return back.
