CHAPTER 3
Radhika didn’t cry nor she turned back to look once at her parents. she was shocked and never thought that this day would ever come in her life. she always wanted to have a fat and big wedding with arjun were her parents are very happy. she wanted to have a photo with four f them to hang it on the wall and arjun’s and her’s alone to hang it in their bedroom. but all her dreams shattered and she thought that it will never come.
Arjun took her hand and led her out of house. he too never wished this but destiny played a totally a different game. he promised radhika to be always with her. he knew radhu is very much sad and now is very absent- minded but he promised himself to give her a better and a beautiful life.
he quickly started his bike, radhika sat behind him.. before he went, he saw radhika’s mom with tears waving her hand. she had a smile. she was silently asking arjun to take care of her daughter well.
arjun who understood this nodded his head and left from there. mala started to weep silently. seeing her, dilip shouted “HEREAFTER NO ONE WILL EVER CRY FOR THAT STRANGER. NOT EVEN HER NAME WILL BE TAKEN IN THIS HOUSE. SHE IS DEAD FOR ME , YOU AND FOR THIS HOUSE. LET HER SUFFER ALONG WITH THAT GOOD FOR NOTHING. SHE LEFT SARALNA..LET HER SUFFER. I DON’T CARE. THERE IS NO ONE IN THAT NAME IN THIS HOUSE UNDERSTOOD. WIPE YOUR TEARS AND START TO PREPARE LUNCH. I NEED TO ATTEND A MEETING AT 2 PM.”saying this he went to his room.
BACK TO ARDHIKA
After some time radhika hugged arjun and leaned on his shoulders. he suudenly felt wetness on his shirt. he knew that she was crying silently. he didn’t say anything and drove little fast. after an hour they reached arjun’s house. it was little small than her house with 1 BHK. yes like her papa said it was very small compared to her house but here she can feel the love and trust.
arjun then led her to his house. as she was about to enter he stopped her. he then closed the door on her face. she was shocked on his behavior . as sh was about to knock on the door, he suddenly opened the door. he then placed rice pot and had pooja plate. he then said ” my mother used to say , that we should always welcome goddess Lakshmi of house with respect . you are Lakshmi of our house. and it is my duty to welcome you with full respect. i know whatever happened to us is not at all right. some where i am to be blamed. i never encouraged you to tell about us to ur father. i am really sorry. but i will promise u that i will always keep you happy and will make sure you will never shed tears. so MISS radhika are you ready to hold my hand forever. are you ready to complete this arjun by coming to his life. are u ready to make my dreams yours becoz i am ready to make ur dreams as mine, actually infact i made it already. i promise to support you all time and will never break your trust. i loved you radhu and will love you always for eternity. i am struck by love with you radhika.
he then kept pooja plate aside and took a ring and knelt down in his knees. tears were rolling from her eyes due to happiness. she didn’t really think that someone would love her this much. she knew she is now in the most safest and the happiest hand. she nodded her head to him.. no words came form her mouth as she was searching for the words to thank him. she then made arjun stand.
then she hugged him with all love she had for him. he too reciprocated with same intensity and passion of love or more than… after sometime they broke the hug. arjun kissed her forehead. he then took the ring and was about to put it on her finger, she stopped him…
arjun stopped in the middle and gave her a questioning look. she then said”this is a good and auspicious ceremony and with this we will start our new phase of life. i want you to wear me rig in front of almighty. we need their blessing and i am sure they would as our love is pure. arjun too nodded his head. then he took pooja plate and sprinkled rice and floweres on her and applied kumkum to her. he then asked her to kick the kalash and then to enter the house. he then took her suitcase and closed the front door.
he then made her sit on sofa and went to bring water for him. he then made her sit on the sofa and went to bring water for her. he then gave her water. he took his phone and went to balcony to make a call. meanwhile radhika took her suitcase to bedroom and sat on the bed and started to recall all the incidents that happened this morning , before five hours.
her thoughts were disturbed by arjun who called her. seeing her not reply , he went to bedroom and saw her in deep thoughts. he knew she was thinking about morning incidents. arjun sat behind her and touched her shoulders. he made her to see him by raising her chin. he then asked”thinking about it?”
radhika nodded her head and tears started to rool from her eyes. she couldn’t control any more and started to weep more louder. arjun wiped her tears and hugged her. he then rubbed her back and calmed her down. once she calmed herself , he asked her to go to washroom to wash the face . radhika like obidient child went to wash her face. she then came out with a fresh face. she had a fake smile on her face to please arjun but he knew that she was acting to be happy. he din’t say anything regarding this.
arjun: i called panditji and he said v can get married this evening itself. it is very auspicious time and ideal for marriages. so what say?”
radhika: i am ok with it and is very impatient to become MRS. RADHIKA ARJUN MEHRA !!
ARJUN SMILED at her comment and then said”i have invited nesam only[ arneil and rasam were best friends in school respectively . nesam loved each other and got married 2 years ago and only in this marriage ardhika fell in love with each other] i said them what all happened. they said they will become our witness for our marriage. radhika nodded her head.
arjun then said”i have loys of work and ha..sam i coming to help u in getting ready. he then went near the cupboard and gave her a packet and said “i want u to wear this”saying this he went. radhu opened the packet. it had a beautiful red sari with white borders. it has fine embroidery work and also matching accessories with it..
around 4 , sam came and helped her in getting ready. radhika was looking beautiful and anyone would get mesmerised by her beauty. then they left for temple. there arjun was waiting impatiently to see his lady love. he wore cream color sherwani. he was looking handsome and smoking hot. every women were staring at him, but he never noticed them and also ignored them as he was only waiting for rads to come. neil who saw this made fun of him.
at last rasam reached temple. both were mesmerised to see each other and kept on staring at each other. nesam woked them up from their dream world. before the marriage they both exchanged their rings. then their wedding rituals was started. they promised each other during 7 rounds before the fire . after that arjun wore mangalsutra on her neck and filled her maang with sindhoor. at last they became one. this was what they waited for and it happened…… TO BE CONTINUED
