THE STORY OF US – Chapter 13 by sana

ANIKA’S POV

We were laying there in the grass staring at the sky . There was so many stars shining and it’s beautiful that you will never get tired of watching it . I don’t know How me and Shivaye end up here we went to office in the morning , had lunch and we came here to this Park all dressed up because I insisted and promised him that I will return his favor by coming to one of his Friend’s birthday party tonight .

”It’s beautiful” I said to him with my eye still looking at the stars . ” Yeah , it is ” I heard him say and looked at him , he was Staring at me and I don’t know whether he meant that I was beautiful , my cheeks heat up as it became red . He was wearing Tuxedo and looks handsome as all the time , I couldn’t take my eyes off him when I saw him dressed up for the party . you can’t blame me because he is damn hot ! I was wearing red dress which was hugging my body at the right places , I look pretty 🙂

I turned my gaze towards the sky again , this brings a lot of good memories to me of my mother . ” Shivaye , when I was child I use to watch the sky all night with my mother. she loved the stars and told me that I have to shine like one and she knew I would” a smile tugged at my lips when I thought about her , she was all that anyone could ask for because she was a perfect Mother , wife and daughter and maybe because of that God took her away soon . ” My mom was so beautiful ” I said while thinking about her . ” I know she is , Anika ” Shivaye took my hands in his and squeezed it . ” She did everything for me , she was more than a mother to me , she was my best friend .
She used to tell me bedtime tales before going to bed , she use to bake my favourite cupcakes , she used to take me to parks and she did everything . I wish she was here today ” A lonely tear escaped from my eyes and before I could a wipe them his warm hands cupped my face , he is slowly wiped it using his thump . i felt a shiver ran through my spine . ” Don’t cry Anika , your mother won’t be happy to see that , she is watching you from Sky ” ” Is she ” I sounded like a child but still I was wondering whether she could see me . ” Yeah she is , my Dadi told me when they leave us they become one of stars in the sky” he said while I smiled . ” She was best mom and my parents were in so love with each other . she told me that I will meet a prince when I grow up but see whom I end up with Rohit” .

” You don’t like him?” Shivaye asked me while I snapped ” I don’t , who will like a person as Rohit” I watched as his eyes darkened then I realized what I have said , the truth . I knew Shivaye cared for me and he will end doing something to him . I remember about today incidents when a man was staring at me with the wrong eyes and Shivaye almost killed him if I didn’t hold him back . ” I Mean I don’t like him But I love him , I was kidding” I corrected him but I knew in reality I mean ‘hate’ instead of Love there .
” Are you sure?” Shivaye asked me raising his eyebrow telling he still wasn’t convinced , I pulled him and said ” yep , let’s go to your party I don’t want be a late person” I finished sticking my tongue out and I earned a laugh from him .

Shivaye pulled away in the driveway of a Large house . The. music can be heard from ten streets away . The party look wild and is more like High School one . I was never a party person and this may count as my third one . Shivaye held my hand so he won’t lose me . We made our way to inside to see that the whole population was here , there was many people in the floor almost passed out , many of them dancing in the floor , a small crowd near the bar area and so many couple making out publicly.
Ew , disgusting .

I can see that even Shivaye didn’t except a party like this by frowning . We made to the balcon area by pushing after many bodies . ” Stay here Anika , I will just wish George and come . we will go home , staying here is not a good idea” he said and left . I stood there until his figure disappeared from my sight . George , I assume is the birthday boy . I took a seat and looked outside and when I got bored I went to Rest Room .

The Rest Room wasn’t help to be away from the crowd at all , there were many girl retouching their already caked up face with make up . I hope Shivaye has finished his conversation and we could leave soon .

I was about to leave when a pair of hands yanked me backwards .I was about to scream when he slapped my mouth and I couldn’t see him because it was too dark .
I tried to scream but his hands were still stopping me .
I was in between him and wall , it is a dark room and no one is there .

I tried to get away from his grip but I froze when I saw him , it was Rohit . He came dangerously closer to me and whispered in my hears making me shiver ” Anika , you think you can run away from me ! I think you forgot I am Rohit Sharma . now you can’t get away from me ” . He put his head on my neck and I tried to push him . Tears welled up in my eyes and I feel so helpless . ” I missed you babe” he smirked and kissed my neck and I screamed , cried ! wishing there was at least one soul who will hear me.

I can’t let this happen , this can’t happen with me. I don’t deserve this . He pinned me my hands above my head and was eyeing me from head to toe . this can’t be my end .

I called out to him , the one who I trust , the one I wish was here ” Shivaye……..” I screamed as loud as i can .

anywhere , somewhere , wherever you are Shivaye I hope you find me , please save me .

SHIVAYE’S POV

The party was on full swing and everyone was enjoying like there was no tomorrow . The moment I stepped in I regretted for bring Anika here , she was uncomfortable as her body stiffened next to me .

I wanted her to be safe so I asked her stay at a place which seems away from all the noise . I didn’t want to take her along thinking of all the man looking at her . she nodded her head and I made my way towards him .

I came back as fast as I could so we could leave from here but where is Anika ? she is nowhere to be seen and where the hell is she at this party ? I checked around to find no sign of her . This wasn’t a safe place for her and anything can happen .

I was sweating badly as I searched for her . she was important to me and I have to make sure she is alright .
I wanted her to be in arms now that I won’t let anything happen to her but she is someone’s fiance . why do I feel she was forced into this relationship and I don’t have good vibes about Rohit at all . The way she said she don’t like him today felt real but she quickly corrected and switched the topic.

I saw a man sitting at the place where I asked Anika to be and I asked him if he found a lady in red . he pointed to the Rest Room . she must have really felt awkward and uncomfortable around here . I shouldn’t have left her alone . I was about to open the door but stopped when I saw the sign of a ladies .

Why do I feel that she is not alright ? she is screaming for me ? She is helpless and is in some trouble ? I took a deep breath and made my way to the bar with the unsettled feeling to cool myself , she is making go insane !
I stopped when I heard a faint voice calling my name and I turned around quickly to see her.

There she was ! She was struggling in the arm of a man , she was pinned to the wall . My anger boil and how dare he touch My Anika . My hands clench and I walk towards the man . I throw him off to the floor and looked at Anika , who is scared and ran into my arms . I quickly wrapped my hands around her and pressed my lips to her hair .
she was shaking and I know she was so scared ” I’m sorry Anika” I apologized as she sobbed into my chest ” I will never leave you Alone” I promised her and I patted her back .

I’m not going to let him go easily I turned around to see and there I was shocked ! It was Rohit , damn it is her fiance and I always knew something was up between them . ” how dare you touch her you jerk” I charged towards him and punched him in the face . he stumbled and fell on the floor bleeding. ” I swear I m going to kill you ” I said through gritted teeth and I was about to hit again when I heard her soft voice ” please Shivaye”

how can still she be kind to the person who tried to rape her ! ” he is not worth it , call the police ” she said lowering her gaze to the floor . I let him go and looked at her . ” I need an explanation for this ” I demanded because this is not something silly the one who she was about to live her rest of her life tried to harm her . I can’t let that happen to her and she was hiding something from me and all . I didn’t want to cause discomfort to her so I added “later” while she mumbled ” okay” .

The party was dismissed and the cops came soon after and handcuffed his hands while he glared at Anika . I stood in between them while he shouted ” who the hell are you man , she is my fiance and you are not one ! well , I think you are smitten by her . she would have did some…” someone slapped before I could and I find a blazing Anika there ” shut up you bastard ! you deserve to be died . if it wasn’t for my father then I wouldn’t have never been here ! Are you human being at all ? you tried to….” tears made there way to her cheek and I couldn’t stand there and I pulled her close to me while she kept her head in my Chest ” see I told you ” Rohit said again and I regretted for not killing him ” didn’t you hear her say ‘Shut up’ ? You don’t need to care who I am ! you are a shame to the manhood ! get him out of my sight now !” I told to the cops and soon we were alone .

I helped her to her room and asked to her to change so that we can talk . I made two cups of coffee and sat in the pool area . what happened today made me flinch !
i found her presence next to me as she sat beside me putting her leg in the water .

” Anika I’m sorry , I shouldn’t have left you alone then nothing sort of would have happened” I was at fault and I wish I was there with her all the time . ” yes , you shouldn’t have . I’m sorry Shivaye if I had listened to you and stayed there and then also something like this would happened ” She shrugged as she recalled and I can see her tighten her grip on the coffee cup .

” Tell me now , why were you engaged to him when he is a son of a ……..” she interpreted me ” Biscuit” she winked at me . I felt a little relaxed now and I was looking forward to listen to everything she have to tell me .
