Next day at the hospital:

Riddhima: Please send me the reports ASAP. We need to decide soon.

Nurse: yes doctor.

Riddhima: Janvi can you please assist me today. I know you are pregnant so we will not be putting much pressure on you. (Janvi lost in her own thoughts not paying attention to whatever Riddhima told her). Janvi, Janvi. (Tried calling twice but no reaction). (Riddhima shakes her gently to get her attention. Where are you lost? I tried calling you twice.

Janvi: Sorry nowhere.

Riddhima (felt from Janvi’s expressions that something was off). Hey Janvi, why don’t we have a cup of coffee or something before the surgery.

Janvi: I can’t have coffee.

Riddhima: I know I can have coffee you can have a hot chocolate. (laughing).

Janvi: Okay! (smiles a bit).

At the canteen:

Riddhima (sipping on her coffee): So, Janvi are you alright? You seem surprisingly low today. I understand that pregnancy can cause mood swings. I have 2 kids of my own, I have gone through this before. Trust me you can share anything you like with me.

Janvi (a bit relieved now): I am glad I can talk to someone. I mean I have my husband to talk with, but he won’t understand what women face during pregnancy so its half-baked with him. I have dadi and my mother-in-law, but it gets awkward with them, there is always a line drawn between us due to our age gap. Ishani is the only one I can talk to, but we are not that close, so we hardly talk about our feelings with each other.

Riddhima: I understand. You know when I was pregnant, I had my days too. One day I will be chirpy as a bird and the next day I would be angry breaking things like a crazy b*t*h (she said it laughing a little). Motherhood changes you for the good though. Having my kids was the best thing that can happen to me. I love every moment with them. I was worried as well I didn’t know anything about being a mom. I didn’t know how I was going to understand what they wanted but you learn, over time you become a pro.

Janvi: Thanks, Riddhima. You have no idea how much better I feel listening to you. I was worried about how everything would be. How I would understand what my baby wants but now I get it every mother feels this. Not being the only one makes feels better about myself. By the way, I saw you at the cruise. I didn’t know you were Sejal’s friend. I am sorry we couldn’t talk at the cruise.

Riddhima (feeling a little awkward at the mention of cruise): its fine we were all busy at the cruise. I am glad that everything went smoothly. So, is Tanya your sister?

Janvi: Yes! She is my cousin. She is currently Vansh bhai’s girlfriend. You know I want to get Vansh and Tanya married but Vansh bhai isn’t divorce yet from his previous marriage.

Riddhima (shocked) (thinks): Oh god how can I forget that I never divorced Vansh. I need to figure this out. Vansh has Tanya now I have to end it with him. Anyways there is nothing left between us. But how do I divorce him when I still love him.

Riddhima: Janvi that’s wonderful to hear that you want your sister to become a part your family. (feeling sad within, composing herself). I should get going my kids are going to come here straight from school.

Janvi: How come they are coming here?

Riddhima: There is no one at home to baby sit them. Pragati is busy with her new job that she has found and Sejal is out with Sameer, so I had to call the kids here. I don’t have a choice. They will stay here in my cabin until I finish my work.

Janvi: oh, right I see. We should get going to that surgery.

Riddhima: Oh yes, we should!

Few hours later at the hospital:

Shovan: mom look we are here (comes running to Riddhima who was at the reception).

Riddhima (hugging the two): how was your day?

Shaina: good we learned new words and also to multiply one-digit numbers.

Riddhima: that’s good I am proud of you two. Anyways let’s go to my cabin. You guys will need to stay in my cabin. And I mean inside my cabin. DO NOT LEAVE IT. I don’t want you guys to wander around the hospital please!

Kids: okay mom (pouting).

Same time in Janvi’s cabin:

Janvi: okay please give these to Riddhima madam and get me an orange juice.

A voice at the door: And a black coffee for me.

Janvi looks at the door and finds Vansh standing there.

Janvi: Vansh bhai, what a pleasant surprise. Let me guess you are here to meet Siya.

Vansh: Yes, I am. But I am also here to meet you. Don’t be jealous of Siya. I am as much a brother to you as I am to Siya (he says it jokingly).

Janvi: don’t worry bhai I can never be jealous of Siya I love her too though I haven’t known her before her coma but all the things I know about her from the family is wonderful. I can’t for her to wake up.

Vansh (hugs a sideways): I know we all are waiting for her to wake up. I’ll just go and see Siya now. (he leaves)

Siya’s room:

Riddhima enters the room.

Nurse: doctor she is a coma patient and this is her report. She has been in coma for six years. Her family moved her here to give her better treatment.

Riddhima: Thanks Sara. I’ll take it from here.

She checks the reports and is shocked to learn the patient’s name. (Siya Raisinghania). She goes around the curtain to see the patient to confirm herself. Is left utterly shocked that she has been here for 2 weeks and still hasn’t known that Siya was admitted here. Goes to speak with her.

Riddhima: How are you Siya? I know whatever happened with you was unfortunate I wish you wake up soon. The whole family needs you. It kills me to see you getting punished for whatever Kabir and Anupriya did. They should be the ones suffering not you. Please wake up soon.

After talking to Siya, Riddhima goes around the curtain to check her treatment procedure to see what changes she can make. At the same moment Vansh enters the room. Riddhima and Vansh have a near miss encounter as Riddhima goes out from the room without noticing Vansh. While Vansh doesn’t see her as she is behind the curtain.

After some time in Riddhima’s cabin:

Shaina: I am bored!

Shovan: but mom said we can’t leave her cabin.

Shaina: I know but look it’s so fun outside we can play tag.

Shovan: okay but if mom asks, I am gonna tell her it was your idea.

Shaina: fine teller tale.

They go out and start playing. They play tag and run around trying to tag each other. While running Shaina runs into Vansh. Followed by Shovan reaching the scene who was trying to catch his sister.

Vansh: Hey! We meet again. What are you guys doing here.

Shovan: First tell us what are you doing here?

Vansh (who is taken by surprise that they still don’t trust him to answer his questions directly): I am here to visit my sister who is sick and also my brother’s wife who works here. Now can I know what you guys are doing here.

Shovan: Our mom works here. She is a doctor; mom couldn’t find anyone to baby sit us, so she brought us here.

Vansh: wow I didn’t know your mother was doctor. By the way how come you guys still don’t trust me.

Shaina: We don’t trust anyone so easily. Just because you are our friend and Sakshi’s mamu doesn’t mean we will trust you so soon.

Vansh (absolutely shocked and amused at the same time): You know I don’t trust people so easily too. So, I understand where you are coming from.

Shovan: really you also don’t trust anyone so fast.

Vansh: Yeah!

Shaina: I am hungry!

Shovan: me too but mom said she will feed us when she comes back from her meeting.

Vansh: guys don’t stress maybe we can eat together I am hungry too.

Kids (hesitant): umm but mom said…

Vansh: oh, come on its just lunch.

Kids: okay!

They head off to the canteen. Riddhima who finished her meeting and came looking for the kids didn’t find them in her cabin. She goes asking around because she knows that they would probably be playing outside in hospital, so she didn’t get paranoid. The staff tells her that the kids are in the canteen. Riddhima goes to the canteen to get her kids.

As Riddhima enters the canteen she finds the kids eating with a man. At first, she finds it odd and curious who that man is but then when the man turns around, she finds the world around her stopped, the ground beneath her feet shaky as the man is Vansh. Unable to move but she musters the courage to come back to her senses.

Riddhima (thinks): How come the kids know about Vansh. Does Vansh know he is the father? Who told the kids about Vansh? I need to ask the kids myself. Me and kids need to a long chat tonight.

Just then the reception staff calls Riddhima. She leaves to tend to the reception issue.

Vansh: I think we should leave now.

Shovan: but I want ice cream.

Shaina: me too

Vansh (smiling a little looking at their cuteness): fine! But then I am going to drop you guys off to your mom’s cabin and you guys won’t leave from there okay.

Vansh drops off the kids to Riddhima’s cabin. He misses the photo frame with Riddhima and the kids on her desk. Settles the kids on the couch and leaves.

Vansh (while leaving wonders): why does the cuteness of the kids remind of Riddhima. Oh, stop it Vansh (he reprimands himself) it’s a coincidence that they are similar to Riddhima. I am over thinking.

Precap: Riddhima talks to her kids about Vansh. Aryan and Janvi talk about parenthood. Vansh baby sits Sakshi. Sejal and Sameer’s wedding preps start. Raisinghanias arrive at the Khurrana residence. All the Raisinghanias meet Shovan and Shaina. Anupriya returns with Kabir.
