Farewell Day
Morning, 10:30am
Riddhima reached college. She entered from the gate and directly reached the ballroom. There were many students roaming around chatting and doing work. Riddhima was appointed for decorations with Vansh. She started doing decorations and collected balloons, poppers, and showerings.
She was standing on a stool arranging the balloon when she slipped and close her eyes tightly. Riddhima realised she didn’t fell and someone was holding her. She expected to be Vansh but it was Kabir. She thrustly got up and was standing trying not to make eye contact.
Kabir: What if I was not there? You would have fell down.
Riddhima: Thanks…
Kabir forwarded his hand and kept it on Riddhima’s shoulder.
Kabir: Just take care of yourself.
Riddhima: Hmmm
Kabir: We will be married soon.
Riddhima stood shock and looked at her.
Kabir: Happy? I knew you would be happy. I will make mom soon.
Vansh came from behind.
Vansh: No one will agree, my brother.
Kabir: It’s between me and her. Who are you to interfere?
Vansh: Her friend. And she isn’t even interested in marrying you. You can leave.
Kabir left abruptly. Riddhima smiled at Vansh.
Vansh: Let’s start doing decorations. Sorry for being late.
Riddhima nodded and they both started with the decorations. Riddhima was looking at him.
Riddhima (to herself): Why am I attracted to you Vansh. I think this is it. I love you Vansh. I love you. I have no courage to tell you. I know you understand it well. What if you still love Ragini? No. I am sure you love me too.
Vansh: What happened? Why are you staring me?
Riddhima: Huh? Nothing. I thought you will understand. Anyways. The decoration is complete. Bhai must be coming to pick me. I will meet you in the farewell.
Vansh: Yes. Just today and you’re Bhai will never come between us.
Riddhima: us?
Vansh: I mean….yes….us. We both.
Riddhima: Bye
Vansh: please don’t go.
Riddhima: Huh?
Vansh: Bye….(thinking) you are someone special. I will confess it today.
Vansh went from there with a smile.
Evening, 8:30 pm
All the seniors arrived. Ramansh and Dev also reached there. Vansh’s eyes were looking for Riddhima. She still didn’t come. Vansh entered an empty class and sat there. He heard some noise from the window. He opened it. Riddhima jumped inside.
Riddhima; Hi!
Vansh: What hi? Why are you jumping from window. You are wearing this for prom? Kurtz?
Riddhima (laughing): No. Dad wouldn’t let me wear the dress so I came up here with it. I will change and meet you at the ballroom.
Vansh: Ok
Vansh reached the ballroom. He went and saw Ragini dancing with Dev. They both were engrossed in each other. Vansh was silently sitting. Riddhima entered the ballroom. All of the eyes were on her. She never looked like this. She was looking different. Vansh couldn’t take his eyes of her.
Vansh:  You look….. Beautiful. (In mind) hot.
Riddhima: Thanks.
Ramansh: Wow! My princess is looking so beautiful. Let me take a picture. We will show it to Mom.
The song started playing and all danced in couples.
