Sony TV apologizes After Uproar Over Addressing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj As Only ‘Shivaji’

After the massive uproar of fans against sheer negligence of Sony TV, it seems that the message got conveyed and Sony Tv has apologized to people. It happened so that in one of the questions in a recent episode, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj was not given a respectful title and it irked the viewers to such an extent that they trended boycotting Sony on Twitter for many hours.

The question was “Which of these rulers was the contemporary of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb?” and the options given were A. Maharana Pratap, B. Rana Sanga, C. Maharaja Ranjit Singh, D. Shivaji

Now in the apology, Sony has written,“There was an inaccurate reference to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during Wednesday’s KBC episode, due to inadvertence. We deeply regret the same and being mindful of the sentiments of our viewers have carried a scroll expressing regret during our episode yesterday.”

The apology certainly made a difference in the rage of people and from their angry tweets, they started tweeting Thankyous to Sony for understanding their point of view.
