One clarification:This friend of Pragya is different from the one (in the hostel) told in the earlier episodes of this ff.
Days passed with Abhi & her friend talking to each other. They were mostly talking about Rinku’s future. Although Pragya was present with them all the time, sometimes she felt she is left out in their conversation.
She tends to observe both. She tends to lost in her own world of thoughts. Deep inside her she was feeling, he will forget his love for her. Hopefully it happens.
There came a day when Pragya called her friend. Her friend “I was thinking to call you too Pragya. Are u free to talk?” Pragya “Sure. I just called you to ask did you talk to Mr Abhi today.” Her friend “No, what time are u free to talk?” Pragya sensing her urgency to talk to her said “Anytime. Today I am free.”
They decided to meet in the evening at a park.
At the park,
Pragya “You are making me worried of your silence. Just tell me whatever you feel.” Her friend “You are worried because of my silence as a friend. I am also worried of his silence as a friend.”
Pragya “You mean Mr Abhi?” Her friend “Yes Pragya, He can only be a good friend of mine.”
Pragya “No, you are getting it wrong, it takes time for him to understand.” Her friend “I can understand he is a nice person to live with, in this short period of time. It’s very easy to understand but are you saying he can’t understand that by seeing me?” Pragya “It’s not about understanding na. He needs to feel you are the one.”
Her friend “Pragya, He won’t love me for sure.” Pragya “He will…just wait a little longer.” Her friend “No matter how long I wait, he won’t love me. He loves you Pragya, that too being aware of your problems.” Pragya “What do u mean by that?” Her friend “Okay Pragya, I know why you are hesitant to accept his love. It’s because of your inability to conceive a child now. I don’t want to talk about this at all as I know you tend to feel upset about this…”
Pragya looks on as she says “ He knows this is your problem. Despite the fact that you are unable to conceive he is still willing to marry you. Or if I tell it more clearly, He loves you regardless of your problems, conditions or whatever bad past you have”.
Pragya gets shocked while her friend says “I know it’s shocking but he is madly in love with you. It’s his first love. I know not all the time first love happens but his first love is very genuine Pragya. Usually first love happens at very young age, but you know for him, it’s happening now. He is very much clear about his love, not at all immature or feeling infatuated towards you. After a lot of thoughts only he wants marry you.”
Pragya “Is it over??” She asks with a stern look.
Her friend nods her head as yes.
Pragya “I don’t love him! Then how do you expect me to accept his love? It’s great that he is feeling his first love but it’s unfortunate he feels towards me. About me not able to conceive anymore, it’s never a reason to avoid him or his love. I don’t have to be desperate about having babies at this age!”
Her friend “Like you said earlier, you have to wait a little longer to feel his love. I assure you he will be giving you the best love that you can ever imagine in your life!”
Pragya looks with full of anger at her.
Her friend “One reason I feel, He won’t love me is or if I tell even more clearly to you….I don’t think I can love him.” Pragya “Stop it yaar. I don’t want to hear any explanation from you.”
Her friend “Just one last thing. After this you are free to go.” Pragya stays there to hear what she have to say now when everything is out of control.
Her friend “Actually, I can’t call Abhi as Abhi anymore….He is going to be my relative….” Pragya gave an unbelievable look in response.
Her friend “He made me see his brother. You know his brother? I guess you don’t as he is in France. We met through Skype. Like his brother he is also a understanding person.”
Pragya gritting her teeth, I made plans of she being with him but he made plans to make her being with his brother.
Her friend “I really like him a lot.” Pragya “Does he like you too?” Her friend “Not sure. We are still talking to each other. It’s too early to decide whether he likes me.” Pragya “Oh….” Her friend “I’m sorry Pragya….As a friend I can only advise you not to miss Abhi. He is a gem that you can cherish forever in your life.” Pragya “I don’t want any gems in my life. Anyways all the best for your love to be a success!” Her friend thanked her. She sees Pragya going off abruptly saying she needs to attend something important. Her friend smiles seeing how stubborn Pragya is. Even Abhi is very stubborn in getting Pragya. She hoped that very quickly both stubborn kids will be together.
At Mehra mansion,
Abhi was reading some book.Pragya fumed in anger seeing him being relaxed reading a book.
Pragya looks closely & realizes he is reading a book called “First love!”
Pragya, Damn his first love. Why is he this much obsessed about propagating his first love. First he told his mum. Then she came talk to me on behalf of him. Now he have told it to my friend as well. She also talk to me about his first love. Then now he is reading a book on first love.
She breathe heavily in anger. He hearing it said “Wow, this book makes me feel the sounds too. Yes this line says she is breathing heavily out of exasperation. Why does she need to breathe so heavily? Ya I know she hates him but you don’t have to show you hatred in this way.”
Pragya “It’s not the she in the book who is breathing heavily!” Abhi jerks seeing her by putting the book beside him.
Abhi “You are here? At this time?” Pragya “Stop acting Mr Abhi, I know you would have known by now that why am I here.” He looks cluelessly in response which infuriates her more.
Abhi “Rinku is not at home. He is staying over at his cousin’s house.” Pragya “I am not here to meet him!” Abhi looking with a mischievously “Then you are here to meet me?”
Pragya “Mr Abhi, stop doing all this. I don’t have any feelings towards you. I am sure I will not have any feelings towards you too.” Abhi “I don’t want any feelings from you. I just want love from you Pragya…”
Pragya gets irritated. Abhi walks closer to her saying “I’m sorry it’s not only love. I want to marry you. I want to see you as my wife who is willing to be my only wish in my life forever.”
Pragya “Mr Abhi…let me come to the point.” Abhi “The point is you Pragya. I am already at a point of understanding that you are my point in life.”
Pragya looking at his truthfulness in his eyes closed her eyes. With her eyes closed she says “Mr Abhi…I understand that you love me so much that everything else is blind around you. You are great being able to ignore my inability to conceive. Actually the whole point is not about having kids here. The point here is I don’t feel love towards you, You have to understand you can’t force love from someone.”
Abhi “Open your eyes Pragya!” Pragya unwillingly opened her eyes. Abhi “I agree to whatever you say. I respect your words.” Pragya “Thank you! So from now onwards erase your feelings for me. To tell in your words, erase your love for me.”
Abhi chuckles in response which makes Pragya gasp in shock.
Abhi “What are you saying Pragya? I only said I agree & respect your words. Does that mean I will follow them?” Pragya “Not again….how will I make you understand!!” she tells in frustration.
Abhi “It’s not I who have to understand Pragya. If you tell what you told earlier by directly looking into my eyes, then I would have considered to follow your words. You know, you only get scared to see one’s eyes to tell a lie.”
Pragya stammered “It’s….not…a…” Before she could complete her sentence he grabbed her hands.
Abhi “I want your hands forever to caress my love Pragya….” He then left her hands saying “I can try to be close towards you by holding you intimately but that’s not what I want from you. I want the words from your mouth accepting wholeheartedly that you love me. That is more than holding you intimately.”
Pragya looks on as he walks towards the stairs to his room. She still feels her hands are held by him.
Abhi saw him Ma on the way to his room. She said seriously “I saw everything from a distance.” Abhi “Ma…I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have hold her na…” His mother burst into laughter as he was scared by his serious look. He looks confused.
His Ma “I was not angry at you Abhi. I am proud that you spoke to her that way. She now will have some changes being felt.”
Abhi “I hope so, I really want to make it fast as Rinku is asking me for his Ma again. I don’t want to make the same mistake again of taking his words easily.” His Ma “Sometimes it is not easy to move on Abhi….” Abhi “Move on?” His Ma “Nothing Abhi, you go rest first.” She says by quickly walking away.
Abhi “Why Ma said like that? Sometimes is not easy to move on means….does that mean anything related to Pragya? If that is so Ma can tell me what it is na….”
He ponders as he enters the room. At the same time, Pragya exits out of his house with deep thoughts.
