Sometimes…..(KKB) Chapter 17

Abhi’s flashback as he sees Pragya entering his house with a pretty lady.

Flashback:
Abhi manage to get a chance of taking to Pragya in private at his house when she turned up for chota gang meeting.

Pragya tries to move when Abhi comes in front of him. She gives a ignorant look which hurts Abhi.
Abhi “Pragya….” He says by touching her waist. She stares at him while he gives a innocent look.
Pragya “Look Mr Abhi, as adults we should set the right example to kids.” She says by removing his hand from her waist.

Abhi “But why can’t you understand my love?”
Pragya “Mr Abhi, like how your Ma explained to you I have my own plans in life. In that plans I don’t have a space for you.”

Abhi “Not even for Rinku?” He asks to which she startles. Pragya taking a deep breath says “Try to understand that you can find a better person than me.” Abhi “It’s not about finding a better person for me. I am saying I can’t find a better person as a Ma for Rinku.”

Pragya “Well, if that’s your problem, what if I find a person that is better than me for Rinku? Will you accept her?”

Abhi “It’s impossible. Only you have the motherly affection towards Rinku. I can feel it Pragya….”

Pragya, How is he being right but at the same time wrong?

Abhi “Speak up Pragya. I can’t imagine anyone being a mother to Rinku other than you!!”

Pragya “I have someone in my mind. Do you want to give a chance to her?”

Abhi “Ridiculous! I am saying you are the best but u are adamant in finding someone better!”

Pragya walks away as he says “Ok as per your wish I can give a chance. But you should be around when I am deciding whether to give a chance to her”.

She nods her head saying she will make arrangements to make the person to meet Rinku and him.

Flashback ends.

Abhi smiles at Pragya while she give a stern face which hurts him.

Abhi “Hi Pragya!” Pragya corrects him “It’s Ms Pragya!” Abhi “Ok cool Ms Pragya.” Pragya “Alright, she is my friend. She is better than me in all ways. She is even a childcare teacher.” Abhi “I don’t need a teacher Pragya….I need a mother for Rinku…” Her friend “She is relating my profession which is a good way to be a mother.” Pragya “Yes, can u see how smartly she answers. This is what you need. A smart mother who can give smartness to Rinku.”

Abhi “Smartness can be achieved if good care is given. But good care can’t be achieved just with smartness. You need to show love to have good care for someone.”

Her friend “I understand you love her. You see her care for Rinku as love. Am I right?” Abhi “Exactly! Even she understands this simple thing Pragya. But why are you not trying to understand this!”

Pragya sighs as her friend says she needs to talk to Abhi in private. She says ok but Abhi gives a hesitant look.

Her friend “I won’t bother you Mr Abhi. Let’s talk before we come into any terms.”

Abhi agreed as he was keep on seeing Pragya before entering the room to talk to her.

Pragya, Why is he behaving like this? I am not worth for him. Yes I know I can be a good mother to Rinku. But definitely not a good wife to him. He deserves a much better person than me.

About 10 minutes passed, Pragya wondered what they were talking for so long.

When they came out she was surprised to see both laughing.

Pragya “Any jokes? Would you all like to share with me?” Abhi “You won’t understand. Your friend is so funny! I love her!” He said by trying to control his laughter.

Pragya in disappointment “You love her?” Abhi “I mean she is funny na…I love her for that!” Pragya “Oh…seems like you are impressed with her already” Abhi “Not sure but I know anything from you is impressive.” He says by excusing him as he needs to make a call.

Her friend “It’s good that he finds me funny. At least in that way I can impress him.” Pragya “It’s not about impressing him. It’s about proving that you can be better than me as a Ma to Rinku.”

Her friend “I am sure I can do that as long I have you by my side!” She says by giving a side hug to Pragya.

Pragya smiles widely thinking how cheerful she is. She would be the perfect choice to handle Rinku’s active nature.

Abhi on the other hand looks shocked after attending the call.

Abhi, I didn’t expect Pragya would be facing this. Is this why she is denying my love for her? Firstly, I need to be clear of what she is thinking about love. Then I have to prove that what she is facing will be never a hindrance in my love for her. How will I find what’s her feelings about love? How will I make her understand her love for me & Rinku will be enough for a relation to be stronger?

He was asking himself questions on how he is going to do all this when Pragya came.

Pragya “Are you ok?” Abhi looked at her for a while before saying he is fine. Pragya “She wants to see Rinku.” Abhi “He have extra classes today.” Pragya “Again? I thought he had twice this week”.

Abhi “Exams are approaching so he got to go.” Pragya “Can I suggest you something? Why don’t you change his school? I mean I know I don’t have a say in this as I am not his parent. But seeing Rinku going for so many extra classes, I am worried for his health. It’s very exhausting for a child.”

Abhi “No worries, some of his classes are interactive learning. As in they have more of activities rather than studying. I was also concerned like you in the beginning. But once I went there to see him, I got to know his classes being interactive & fun. He mostly gets tired of doing a lot of activities only.”

Pragya “That’s very nice to hear. Hearing this I feel much more relieved.” Abhi “Thanks!” Pragya “Thanks? For what?” Abhi “For being concerned towards Rinku….” He says by looking at her intently.

Pragya seeing him doesn’t feel comfortable.

Pragya “As his friend, I am concerned for him.” Abhi chuckles in response. Pragya turned away not wanting the conversation to continue.

Abhi “I know the difference between how a friend & mother have concern. Your concern was more of being his Mother.” Pragya “I know in whichever I talk you will end up in this.” Abhi “It’s naturally very obvious Pragya. You have the motherly love. Maybe it’s naturally coming out from you. A while ago, when you were concerned about Rinku, you were discussing it with me like his mother.” Pragya being annoyed walked away while Abhi “It’s not that easy to handle a person who acts to be blind.”

Pragya hearing it turned back & glared at him before leaving.

Abhi smiles seeing Pragya’s friend approaching him by passing Pragya. Pragya seeing her wide smile as she waved at Abhi felt uncomfortable again.

Pragya, Although it feels nice she is being nice to him, I don’t feel nice when he appreciates that. Why is that so?

Abhi “Where’s your friend?” Pragya “She will be here soon.” Abhi keeps looking forward for her arrival which irritates Pragya. Pragya “Where is Rinku?” Abhi “Oh he is getting ready to see her too.” Pragya “Getting ready?” Abhi “Ya he is very eager to meet his new girlfriend.” Pragya looks confused as Rinku in loud voice “Pragie!!!!!” Pragya turns at his direction. She looks shocked at his new avatar.
