His Solace.. His Angel (ragsan) part 32

Groggily opening his eyes, Sanskar was about to get up, but his rising demeanour is stopped as he felt a light weight on his chest. Looking down, a genuine smile graced his lips, staring at the sweet Angel sound asleep on him. Soft, tiny wheezes of snore escape her slightly parted pouty lips and he had to refrain himself from kissing all over her cute, adorable face.
He softly ran a hand through her hair as she cuddled closer to him.
“Cuddly bear.” She murmured in her sleep, nuzzling her face on his chest and he chuckled quietly to himself.

Pecking her forehead sweetly, he tucked her in under the covers. Carefully getting out of the bed without waking her up, his ears perked up at the ringing of his cellphone.
“Yes? What is it?”
“Sorry to bother you Sir but the legal advisor of Mehra and Corp. emailed just now. They are asking for the quotations of our shared project. So should I?” His p.a. questioned.
“Email the quotations then arrange a meeting with the CEO. Some legal conditions need to be discussed before making it official.” Sanskar ordered while opening the fridge to take out necessary items for breakfast.

“Will do Sir.”
Hanging the phone call, he tip-toe to the bed slowly, placing the food tray on the bedside table.
Brushing the hair off Ragini’s face, he gently shook her shoulder.
“Angel! Wake up baby.” He coo as she open her eyes offering him a sleepy smile. Her voice croaking as she speaks, “Good morning.”
And the couple happily ate their breakfast together, feeding each other like always.

“Huh!!” Sanskar huffed annoyed, irritatingly throwing his tie on the bed.
“What’s the matter Cupy? If the knot is removed do your tie again. No big deal.” Ragini sugeested, confused as to why her fiancee was so irritated because of a simple tie.
“As if I can.” He muttered under his breath but she still heard him.
“What?” She asked confused.

“Nothing.” He tried to the ignore her question. She noticed him struggling with the tie and that’s when she realized the fact that she is damn sure no one knows about.
The big, bad SANSKAR MAHESHWARI don’t know how to do a tie!
She giggled at his efforts and he looked at her amused.
“You don’t know how to do a tie. Do you?” She teased, giggling, when she noticed a faint pink color dusting both his cheeks.

He is blushing!!
“You’re blushing?” She looked at him wide eyed not believing her eyes.
“Hush!! Stop laughing.” He grumbled, his blush deepening even further and she laughed loudly at the expense of her endearing fiancee.
“Here.” Putting the tie around his neck, she said working on the tie.
“Done!!” She exclaimed happily, grinning proudly at her work.
“And how did you managed it till now Mister?” She cutely raised a brow at him in question.
“I kind of ask the laundry people to do it for me.” He replied sheepishly.
She rolled her eyes playfully at his answer but gave him a hug none the less.

He was busy analysing the files when a knock sounded outside his cabin.
“Sir, a courier came for you in the morning. Sorry for the delay, the receptionist forgot to inform.”
Sanskar just nodded his head in agreement.
“Just place it here on the table. I’ll look at it later on.”

TWO HOURS LATER :

Cracking his fingers to relieve the tension, he laid back comfortably on his chair when his gaze landed on the courier, surprised it didn’t have the name of the sender mentioned.
“Who could it be?” Confused, he opened it, wondering about the unknown sender.
A message written on the white sheet of paper made his blood run cold.
“Take away what’s mine and I’ll rip apart what’s yours.”
His felt his heart stop, before it start beating up tenfold.
Hastily picking up his cellphone, he let out a sigh of relief when he saw Ragini perched on the sofa, deeply involved in her reading, through the camera installed in the mansion.
But still his heartbeat refused to calm down. Several thoughts and old memories swarming his mind causing a headache.

Noticing the letter in front of him, he hastily make his way to his car, nearly ripping the car door off as he drive madly to his mansion. His hand gripping the handle with such a tight grip that his knuckles turned white.

“Angel!!!”
Ragini didn’t have the time to react, before she is engulfed tightly into a pair of strong, muscular arms.
“Wh-at happ-en-ed?” Her words came out muffled, for her face was deeply pressed into his chest. Her worry increasing furthermore when she didn’t get an answer in return.
She tried to untangle herself to look at him properly but Sanskar scoop her onto his lap in a flash, rendering her shocked for a moment.
Letting out a sigh, she tenderly cupped his cheeks. “What happened?”

“No one gonna hurt you. Not again. I’ll not let that happen. I’ll protect you. I need to protect you. I have to.” He continued mumbling those words again and again confusing her even more.
“Hey buddy. Look at me.” Tilting his face in her direction, she gave him a reassuring smile.
“Nothing gonna happen to me. Now tell me what happened? I-Is it s-something related to umm your p-past.” She stuttered in between her question, carefully wording her question. Her nerves wrecking as she stared at him expectantly, waiting for an answer.
“Yes.” After a long pause, he finally answered back with that ambiguous reply.
“W-what happened in your past?” She asked rather hesitantly.

“Wait! Y-you don’t h-have to answer if you don’t w-want to.” She clarify when she is met with another long, painful silence.
“My………. mother was killed when I was eight years old.” There is a stare down between the duo. His eyes filled with firm emotions. His body gesture is defensive while his mouth is shut as he turned his face away from her stunned figure.
He looked at her again and a silent gasp escape her parted lips as she stared at his bloodshot, watery eyes.
Holding his face in between her tiny hands, she lightly kissed his forehead.

“You don’t have to.” She whispered, her soft voice barely above a whisper.
“But I need to.”
And he narrated her the horrible incident that happened years before which still haunt him till date (I already described the incident in part 27). Though Sanskar didn’t tell her every single detail, he did brief her about it. He doesn’t want his Angel to witness or to know about the cruelties of the harsh world.
Leaning closer to him, she placed her forehead on his.
“You’ll not lose me buddy.” She says quietly but firmly.

“Huh?”
He finally speaks up. His voice reflecting his desperation in him, together with his strong grip on her hand.
“Please stay beside me Angel.” The reverie in his heart and mind is let out by that single sentence.
Nodding, Ragini slowly shifts her position as he lay his head on her lap.

Both of them stay silent, staring at each other’s feature. Ragini can see his black eyes staring at her straight, observing her intently. She can see the emotions that dwells behind his eyes, but it’s something her mind couldn’t fathom. Sanskar moves his hand across her cheeks, gently caressing them with his thumb.

“Angel…. Do you think I’m a bad person?” He asks, his hand grabbing hers instead. She can sense fear and desperation from a small shudder across his hand.

“Bad person? Why would you think that? What happened in your past was horrific buddy. I’m not familiar with the darkness that lurks behind the misery. I know still there are things you didn’t reveal to me yet but I’ll wait until you are comfortable sharing it with me. Compared to you, I’ve been sheltered all my life Cupy. I’ve no right to judge you. I’ve never faced your pain. You say you’ve done bad things. That you’re a devil. But despite of everything, I love you. I love you for the man you’re now. The man who looks at me as if I’m his most precious jewel. The man who couldn’t tolerate my tears, someone who won’t let me enter in the kitchen because he is afraid that I’ll get hurt.” She teased causing Sanskar to chuckle at her last sentence.

“I love you.” She looked at him with so much love and adoration that he felt his heartbeat skip.
