His Solace.. His Angel (ragsan) part 31

She sat there lost in her own thoughts, her arms wrapped around her knees as she continued to gaze at the vast stretch of greenery, beautiful flowers of different kinds blooming. Her mind reeling back to the incident that occurred just hours before, as a sadness loomed over her angelic face.
A knock followed by approaching footsteps broke her chain of thoughts but she didn’t bother to look when the intruder sat right beside her.
“Angel.” His soft, gentle tone lured her to him but she refused to give in.
Setting the plate aside, a sigh of exasperation escaped his mouth, his lips tucked down into a frown.
Settling her smaller frame on his lap, he embraced her gently but frowned when she didn’t curl herself into his muscular frame like she used to.
“Try to understand my point of view Angel. I know you are angry but what would you do if you are at my place?” This gained her attention. Her mind reviving the memories of the previous incident.

FLASHBACK :
The sound of droplets of water falling could be heard clearly as the rain patterned against the windows while the beautiful couple were sound asleep, snuggled together in each other’s arms.
“Hush you silly tummy!” She whispered, waking up after two hours, softly patting her stomach as it rumbled loudly out of hunger.
She was about to wake up Sanskar but seeing him sleeping peacefully she didn’t have the heart to disturb him.
“No problem. I can myself make something edible to eat.” She thought to herself with a smile but a thought interjected in between. “But Cupy forbade me to go to kitchen alone.”
Sitting crisscrossed on the bed, cupping her face with both her hands, she pouted sadly.
“But I can make sandwiches right? They aren’t hard to make. Cupy won’t say anything when he would see I didn’t hurt myself.”
Thinking so, she carefully got out of the bed but not before placing a kiss on the forehead of a still sleeping Sanskar before she made her way to the kitchen.
Humming gently, she began working on the sandwiches. Like promised, she was extra careful with the knife and somehow managed it with the hell of a recipe book.
Deciding on a fruit salad to go with it, she grabbed the apples and pears she had just sliced up.
“Yay! I did it!” After a happy, little victory dance she headed to their bedroom with a giant grin on her face.
Only halfway to the room, she squeaked as it fell from her grip. The porcelain plate shattered, causing quite the noise.
Sanskar shot up as he heard the noise of glass breaking, realizing Ragini wasn’t next to him, panicking even further.
Standing up abruptly, he ran downstairs, as fast as he could. His heart was racing, not only because of running, but the thought of her hurting.
As he reached the kitchen, he saw her shaking, pale figure in front of a shattered glass plate.
“Shit”, he cursed, walking around the broken pieces to her.
The rushed sound of pounding footsteps had her panicking.
“Oh no! If Cupy saw this, then he would never let her in the kitchen again. She would be lucky to even go near it.” She sank down on the floor, picking up the broken shards just when he entered.
There was a sharp stinging in her toes and ankles. Sure enough, when she turned to look, blood was pooling from her cuts.
“Ow!!” Whimpering, she gently held her injured leg as tears brimmed her eyes.
“Baby…..Damn it!!” His eyes widened, seeing the blood on her skin. Picking her up in a flash, he sprinted to their bedroom.
“Hey! Ssh Angel. It’s over. It’s over sweetheart. You are my terrifying lion right?” He cooed softly to her. Whimpers and whines sounded from her when he cleaned the cuts with antiseptic and bandaged them up.
He sighed when he was done, wrapping his arms around her, with her on his lap.
“Why were you in the kitchen Princess?” He asked, burying his face in her neck. His anger clearly evident from his tone.
“I was hungry and you were s-sleeping peacefully. I didn’t have the heart to wake you so I decided to make sandwiches f-for the b-both of us.” She mumbled, nuzzling his chest.
“Don’t worry Bunny, I know what I’ve to do.”
FLASH BACK ENDS

“But I’ll miss my friends.” She complained, pouting sadly.
“You can call her Bunny and you can see her whenever you want to. I promise I’ll take you to meet your friend Divya.”
Ragini mulled over the proposition, tapping her chin on thoughts.
“Look Baby, after the college incident I can’t let you be there alone. I was wary about it after that bullying incident and now this. Please agree with me Angel. You can have a distance education. That way I won’t worry thinking you are in some danger. Look at it yourself. Whenever you’re out of my sight you get hurt just like an hour before so how can you expect me to not look over at you. I don’t care baby. I will watch over you 24×7, if I have to.”
Sanskar looked at her with so much worry in his eyes that she felt the stickiness of guilt pooling in her stomach.
“I just wanted to be a good fiancee.” She replied sheepishly as he raised a brow in question.
“Off ho!! Haven’t you watched in serials. Fiancee always cook yummy food for their to be husband.” She told confidently.
“Really? And what serial are you talking about?” He asked, looking at her curiously.
“Main Teri parchai par sass karti hai ladai. Par saath rahenge hum, saas ko dikhayenge dum.” Sanskar stared straight at her for five seconds then burst out laughing.
“Who keep such a weird name.” He questioned in between his laughter while Ragini blushed in embarassement.

“So, you are leaving college huh?” Ragini looked up to see Divya standing few feet away.
“Yup. But we can still meet each other. Cupy promised me. We can even talk to each other on phone.” She replied with an excited gleam in her eyes.
“Don’t you think Sanskar is controlling your life too much?”
“Huh?” Ragini tilted her head confused.
Divya just shook her head.
“He is my fiancee Divs. I love him. He is doing this just because he want to protect me. Don’t talk about my Cupy like that. My Cupy loves me more than anything.” Ragini said, angry at her friend for misjudging her Cupy.
“That is the problem Ragini. He loves you too much.” Whispered Divya.
“I think I should go.”
Saying so, Ragini walked away leaving behind a worried Divya.
‘You’re not paying any heed to my words for now Ragini. Your innocent mind isn’t comprehending the situation correctly. You’re not seeing Sanskar’s obsession for you and I’m afraid it will be too late when you will.’
